Normally, 10 minutes is good. However, in future I will be allowing 30 min. Last year the person who went to get my bags went MIA. It took about 20 minutes for someone else to find my bags because the MIA guy had the claim tags.
That's awful! I'd be so stressed out!
We always like to be back at resort 30-45 min before DME pick up. Get my carry on from Bell Service and we usually change to long pants for flight home. Will also grab some snacks at food court for flight home.

At the Pop food court does anyone have a picture of the coffee station. I'm curious what they have for creamers. Thanks!
When I was there a few weeks ago, they had little individual creamers as well as the larger creamer dispenser. None of it was real cream though.

It was.:)

You encountered what is commonly referred to as "The 15s" and they are 15 year old South American girls("mainly" from Brazil or Argentina)celebrating their Birthday-it is a HUGE thing for them to come to WDW for a "quince celebration".

The "peak" months for The 15s are July(their Winter Break) and January(their Summer Break).:)

Yup, that was them!!! Man, that's a lot of money. I assume that those are various groupings of girls celebrating...not just one girl!!! So, they can book their birthday trips as part of a group. That's kind of cool. They were much better behaved then a lot of the groups I've seen over the years. Have to wonder if Disney spoke to the tour operators.

I am pretty sure these Blushing Orange items are still the toiletries at Pop (this set is from 2016).

That's what I had as well. Although, I hate the combination shampoo/conditioner. So, I bring along my shampoo and conditioners from previous stays at non-value resorts!!!!

Could anyone tell me what kind of yogurts the have for sale in the food court and gift shop......77 day's and counting.
I'm leaving this morning but I do remember seeing Oikos yogurt in the food court. Sorry I don't know the flavors. They also have make your own yogurt parfait.

We're arriving at Pop in 13 days! Thank you for all of the great info. We've never stayed there before so all of this has been super helpful!
We will be there in 13 days as well. My ticker is off because we added days.

Anyone know anything about construction? Has it started, which buildings are effected???

Is anyone else not crazy about the new room design? It has made me hesitant to stay there if we go again (and we had a great stay there a few weeks ago!)

It also makes me wonder if the prices will go up as well.

I actually like the new design. The new design is rather smart as it will allow you to up up the murphy bed when not in use and really open up the room. If you are parents traveling with children that sleep in a play pen it will allow more space for that instead of blocking all the walking space. I think its a brilliant way to go to be honest.

I am not a fan. A friend and I are going in September and are booked at POP and I don't think either one of us should have to sleep on a smaller murphy bed while the other gets a nice queen size. I'm waiting to see if the rooms actually come out like that and if they do I'll be switching to an AS resort.

I agree that its hard to flip a coin about who gets the bigger bed, but I ask, would you both rather settle for two smaller beds? I normally go with my brother and his husband and I often feel bad I have a nice bed to myself and they have to share a full, now they can have a queen and I don't have the guilt of having my own while they have to share. I'm going again in Sept with two friends, both male, and I'm female and we are all not small people, so I now don't feel bad that the two men will have to share a queen, even though I'm thinking I may end up sharing the queen with one of them, but at least we will have more room now. At least one queen is better then two fulls, or doubles.

Yes, I agree. We have a trip planned for this summer and I'm really hoping we have one of the regular old rooms. I'm not sure how I feel about the murphy bed (if you didn't use it and could just save the space that'd be one thing, but we'll need it so it'll always be down and I'm not sure about the comfort. I'm also not a fan of the sterile look (I love CR, which many complain of being sterile, but these just look kinda hospitalish). I'm also a little concerned about the way the space is going to work now...we'll have a stroller and a pack n play, so I'm hoping it all fits.

I cant really remember the lay out, I can't find the pics but the small upright pantry looking thing, looks smaller then the table, so I would say that there would probably be more room for a pack and play. And I think that the murphy bed is supposed to ease that issue, for families that may not need the second bed, but it sounds like it will still be needed in your case. I'm sure soon in March we will start getting some pics and feedback from those who have stayed in the newly renovated rooms. I actually rather like the idea of the laminate floor too. Will be nice to walk on a nice cool floor after being on my feet all day and not wonder what was lurking in the carpet.

The murphy bed in the new Pop Century rooms is the same as the ones in the AoA suites, so it will be a full/double bed. If you switch to an AS resort, *both* of you will have a full/double bed. At Pop, one of you will have a queen and one a full (if you are in a renovated room).

I would rather we both have full beds. I don't think POP should be changing ALL the rooms to this set up. I think they shoulf have considered all situations and kept some of the rooms with the 2 full beds for those who preferred that set up. Again we will see and yes we will change our reservation if POP switches all rooms to a Murphy bed and queen set up

Where would you change too? Back to another value or upgrade and pay more out of pocket. I'm just curious because sometimes I see one of the other values with a higher room cost. I don't understand it but I like PoP because they have their own bus, close to AoA and that gives two food courts for the price of one, three nice pools. For me it gives me the best bang for my bucks.

I can see how it would be bad for bigger families, but as a family of 3, it's great for us.
