Pretty bummed. Just checked into POP and didn't get any of my room requests. I had requested top floor, lake view and 70s building. Got 2nd floor, 90s building overlooking the pool. I was hoping to at least get one thing.

Geesh, you would think they could have hit at least one of your requests.

Let me share some hard won words of wisdom--be happy when you get your requests met, not upset when you don't. I have the worst luck ever when it comes to getting requests. I have had to learn to not count on getting them, that way I am not disappointed if none of them are met. Now I try to tell myself I won't get my requests, that way if I do I am happy as can be!

Glad to hear you got your requests! I would love to hear more about the food court options from you or anyone else who is just back or headed there. Also, how was your BOG lunch? What did you order?

We are only going for the rides and the food! Can you tell?

Haven't eaten too much yet at the food court at Pop. The sesame chicken was good, and I liked the reuben stroboli. We both had the braised pork at BoG. Loved it. The mashed potatoes were great, and the strawberry cupcake was awesome.

Oh, and the pizza at Wolfgang Puck Express was amazing (ordered the pepperoni with no onions), and the creme brulee is perfect. It's a definite must-do especially on the dining plan.

This is a weird question, but will the Concierge desk at Pop help you purchase Universal tickets the night before you want to go?

LOL! That's not to say I don't ever indulge with a cupcake for breakfast once in a while. But we usually take longer trips (three weeks this time) so a cupcake every morning would be a big no-no for this girl!

I am SO excited. We just changed our resides for 12/19-12/26 from CBR to POP. As much as we wanted to try something new, our home at POP was calling to us. I've been checking for over a month now to see if anything popped up for us under our free dining plan and when it did today it was too good to resist. Can't wait to go back!!!!

Yes, I've seen them every time I checked over the last week. They're in the refrigerators with the fruit, veggies, salads, drinks, etc.

Magic bands have shipped! We've stayed at AofA our last two trips and this will be our first time at POP. Reading through reviews and following the conversation here I'm really excited! We loved AofA but did NOT love how far away the Little Mermaid rooms are from dining/transportation, etc. especially after a long day in the parks (and last trip we were in the furthest building away, 4th floor, back corner of the building...literally the furthest room away from everything!)...looking forward to a much shorter walk (I paid extra for a preferred room to be closer to transportation) and of course trying the tie dye cheesecake

Got my Mickey Mail -the souvenir tag. It says they come with the MB. That will be new to me. Last package I did was during the trial of MB and the plastic tag came along with my DME tags. It also says that if you do not customize your MB you will pick up your luggage tag at the front desk. Makes me glad I did not decline the MB. I figure you get whatever color they have available at the desk, I switched over to gray (which is a color I like) and I'm going to paint my mickey head (that will show through my MB skin) to match the skin color. I really wanted that grey luggage tag.

Paying extra for a preferred room will get you super close to everything!
Our 9th stay at POP will be this November! We LOVE it and hope that you do too!

I just booked POP for a long weekend in Dec. The hubs and I are going to see the Osborne lights. This will be our 4th stay at POP and I have another trip planned in March with my DD. Most likely we will end up at POP again....to avoid the teams at the other resorts.
