Its hit or miss and 100% dependent on the parking lot guard. Some will ask if you are checked in there; some will see the Uber/Lyft ID and wave you through...if it is around park opening I would think they are more strict; tried to go to IG via Lyft through Beach Club once before Early Entry and they let me through but also gave me a warning.
Edited to add this was my experience with Lfyt, not Minnie Van. Never did Minnie Van.
If you want to get really creative and not spend $ you can take the early bus to Hollywood Studios and boat/skyline over (the latter you would need to change at Caribbean Beach).

My original post was bus to Hollywood and using boat skyliner or walking but then the idea of rideshare came up and when in Disney... $40 for a Minnie Van is neither here nor there and is the most guaranteed form of transportation.

Not complaining but if I were a Tower guest I wouldn’t mind a little earlier than 7:30 am, personally.

Unfortunately SOP for Disney resort QS and I expected it. Makes them useless on EE mornings tbh. The only time I ever stop for breakfast on one is Fuel over at the Dolphin when I’m at Crescent Lake because they’re open at silly o’clock.

Very happy to see it’s got mobile order though for Lunch/Dinner. Always nice to have another option for that.

The mobile “Join Walk-Up List” feature is live. Just like Geyser Point and other restaurants that have this option, it’s location based.

They are on floors 1-8. The Penthouse 2 Bedroom villas are on floors 9 and 10.

Touring Plans has their room finder updated for the tower. No view photos yet but you can see where the rooms are located.

It appears to have a new bug introduced in the Touringplans Room Map when searching for 2 Bedroom Lockoff units. @lentesta it shows the 3 other DVC buildings with the Deluxe Studios as 2 Bedroom Lockoff matches along with the new Island Tower units.

ETA: I think I found a bug in the Room Map.

Deluxe Studio - Standard View is now Deluxe Studio - Resort View
Deluxe Studio - Lake View is now Deluxe Studio - Preferred View

Also looks like they changed any of the Standard View categories in the Tower to Resort View.

Interesting, I wonder if it will be like when they made the changes on the hotel side last year and people who were already booked won't see it unless they make changes to the reservation. Our PVB reservation for May in the old DVC studios is still showing "Deluxe Studio - Standard View".

Does anyone know if the gift shop still has the Moana 2 costume (with the feathered front). DD5 is obsessed after watching Moana 2. I’m not 100% sure if Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will be run out now that it’s sold out on shop Disney.

What could elevator "hitchhikers" access on the upper floors of the Tower. They can't access the Terrace Gardens since they are also locked and requires authorized access only.

We are checking in next Monday and when I booked originally it said Deluxe studio lake view.After reading your post I went and looked how it’s worded in DVC and app and now it says Deluxe studio theme park view.

I was watching Molly’s video on the Treasure ship’s Haunted Mansion lounge. For a moment I thought there was some holographic hitchhiking ghost feature in the elevator.

I know there has been posts on this change with dues and gift cards but this is my first time paying dues... I want to pay monthly but want to pay with gift cards. I don't see an option to elect monthly payments and I don't just want to make a partial payment when it says the full amount is due Jan 15th 2025. I know you can not do auto pay with gift cards.

Do I have to enroll in auto pay to get monthly payments?
Do I then just disable it and pay with a gift card prior to the monthly due date?

You were able to pay monthly, up until the end of this year monthly using gift cards. However, starting 2025, the only way you can pay with gift cards is if you pay in full. This change was just announced a couple weeks ago. See article HERE.
