Just wanted to mention (in case you weren't aware) that if you called the number associated with the Poly, you didn't actually speak to someone at the resort. The numbers associated with each resort are routed to a call center. They answer as if they are at that particular resort, but the calls go to a call center and not the resort itself.

We were so excited about our Poly stay that I decorated my MB with a Poly theme. I am not an artist at all - actually my youngest DD usually does our MBs but we were going with 12 people total so she had so many to do that I did my own. She helped with the writing of the letters, I was not that steady to write them. My favorite part of it is the Dole Whip float on it. I loved my Poly band - I wish I could still wear it now that I am home.

We just got back late Wednesday night after 9 nights at the Poly. It was our first time staying there & we loved it so much!! We requested a 3rd floor balcony room in Samoa via TP, and while we didn't get it, we got a 1st floor patio in Niue and loved it! Right in between both pools, right near the GCH, etc. After a long day of travel including a couple flight delays, getting in the lava pool & watching the MK fireworks was incredible! Can't wait to go back eventually!

Glad you had a great time! Sorry your requests weren't met, but glad you loved Niue. Hope you can start planning another trip back to the Poly soon .

That's the number associated with the resort, but actually goes to a call center. It would be nice to be able to call the resort directly, but I can see why it's not set up that way as it would probably get pretty chaotic .

Just a head up, I was just doing a search for rooms at Poly 4/2-4/10/18 and there is now officially a category for Pool or Marina view. Playing with dates I can't seem to find an available room for this category, even when there are Standard rooms available. I'm going to call reservations and see if I can upgrade my standard room for that time to Pool/Marina. I'll let you know how it goes.

Yes, it seems they have updated the website, but they maybe aren't in the room inventory yet (there doesn't seem to be any availability for pool view rooms for any dates). We are booked for a time when the resort is fully booked (was already fully booked before the new room category was added to the website). Would also like to update our reservation, but not sure how that would work. I suspect if we called the CM would just tell us there's no availability.

I had guest services just call me for another reason, but I also asked about the new pool/marina view category.

FWIW she said that pool/marina views are still considered part of standard view for 2017 as even though new category is on website, it's not bookable for 2017 dates.

Who knows though, but I thought I would pass on in case anyone is curious.

But honestly, I don't really know if I trust what she said, she seemed very, very confused.

We were at the party on Friday. We took the boat back to the Poly at about 1am.

Curious, did you take it that late because you stayed late and squeezed every second out of the party/mingled on Main Street for awhile, or because of crowds?

We went to the midnight Hocus Pocus show which was delayed a bit because of the rain. After the show we sat for about 5-10 minutes to relax (cause that was the first time we sat all night!) and let the crowds pour out, then we did a few more photo passes on our way out. By that time it was almost 1am and there was a boat just loading up, so it worked out perfectly for us.

I guess it was a combination of getting our money's worth and avoiding the crowds.

I am getting so excited--in 55 days we check in for our first Poly stay! Everything is really starting to come together: ADRs and FPs made, stroller rented, oasis patios booked, surprise cupcakes ordered, Hawaiian themed outfits for our arrival day purchased, surprise souvenirs purchased for the girls. I am just getting so excited and wanted to share with people who would "get" it!

Cool, thanks! Yes, we did that one year (saw the final show, took our time out of the park) and next thing I know we're walking out of the park at 12:50AM. Love it!

She just actually called me back right now! She confirmed that yes, the marina/pool view is NOT a bookable category through 2017, we are good to go with our requests!!! Great customer service!

If there is a launch close to the dock, the launch is faster as it goes directly to the magic kingdom. While the monorail moves faster it will stop at the GF and sometimes waits there for a few minutes for passengers. It all depends on timing.
