I know this is going to sound weird, but if there is anyone that is going to be at Poly on 8/13, I always have extra water that I am trying to unload. I get the craziest looks from strangers; therefore, if you are going to be there, let me know and we can meet at the pool and I'll give you whatever we have left. .

Sorry if this has been reported already. There was recent discussion about power outlets at Poly and people bringing power strips. I checked in yesterday and my room has a new clock on the bed stand with two USB ports - see below. Nice upgrade from the old school iPod clock things they had before.

NICE! We did not have one of these earlier this month. Really missed having a clock in the room.

It took 1.5 hours to get our bags checked. I can't even begin to explain how long the line was. We flew Southwest. I think they were still struggling after their computer glitch on Wednesday, but we flew out on Friday. The biggest issue was the lack of communication from Southwest. TSA was a breeze. We were done in about 5 minutes. We got to the airport about 2 hours and 15 minutes ahead of time. We got through TSA 10 minutes before boarding.

Yikes! Glad you made it through (just) in time!

The new clocks have not made there way into all of the rooms yet. We are in Fiji and there isn't one. Kind of a pain b/c I cannot charge my phone over night since I need it beside my bed so I know what time it is. Didn't think I'd miss a clock.
Who ever asked about the quick service food. Captain cooks has been fine. We've had a few things. The flatbread, a bacon burger, hot dog, and a kids meal w/chicken and pineapple and a salad. I had the last one and it was really good and plenty of food. Today we migrated over to the oasis pool for a bit and ended up and ordered some lunch items there. All burgers, an adult and 2 kids. One being the teriyaki w/ pineapple. It was good but I think I would have liked the same thing made on an adult burger better. I just didn't want that much food.

On one last note they are doing something to the main entrance tonight. We had to enter from the side when we arrived back. I hope it's an overnight thing b/c I wanted to get some pictures out there. We still have a few days though.

Oh and does anyone know what time you need to be out of your room to have them service it? We left later today at around 3:ish and they didn't come in. Yesterday we asked for towels as we were leaving and said that's all we need. We thought she was going to get them but she disappeared into a room. So we left thinking she'd put them in bag and hang them on the door or put them in our room but we got nothing. We've got to get some service soon b/c we're running low on tp and the trash is getting to be a bit much.

I might as well add that the animal kingdom at night was great. We didn't get there until later in the evening and it had cooked off. We did the safari around 7:45. It was good but the elephants had already gone in. We were on and off Everest and dinosaur many, many times. Everest was sending cars half full at the end of the night. It was a great time to be there.

I'm sure they will come this morning, but I would call Housekeeping from your room and ask them to be sure to put you on the list for cleaning today.

We are having a fantastic time! I hope my update didn't sound negative. I was just pointing some things out. We cannot even complain about the weather this year down here. It's been hotter back in Ohio.

I've stayed both, actually in a TPV room right now. This is my view, which frankly doesn't do it justice.

1. We usually stay on the Epcot Resort Loop and are pretty familiar with the ME routes to and from MCO. Now, I know that the time of day, and volume can change these, but can anyone fill me on on what might be a *typical* route? I assume Poly shares with GF/CR/WL.

2. I'd love it if by the time we got there, our room had an alarm clock with the chargers, but can someone tell me roughly where available plugs for charging are located in the room?

I can't help w/ ME but there is a strip of 4 or 5 plugs built into the desk in the guest rooms.

Ah...well that will be fine.
As far as ME, we usually come in very early in the AM, so the routes vary, but on this trip we're landing at about 12:15 P.M., so I assume the ME area will be pretty crowded, and thought for once, we may be in for a long wait to get to our resort. When we've landed before 9 A.M., there are times when touchdown to resort lobby has been less than 1 hr. when our resort has been 1st stop!

Hi all!

Question - what times of the day do you find to be the most crowded using the boat launch to MK? With the monorail seeming to not be working rather frequently, I'm just going to plan on using the boat launch to MK. We probably won't be doing rope drop often at MK, choosing to arrive after 9. Any tips on a good time to hit the boat launch? Or another way to get there to avoid the masses? thanks!

Oh and look at this shower curtain! I don't really have Disney decor in our place, but this was too cute to pass up!

GADisneyDad Thanks for the clock/charging info! In this day and age..its always about the charging...and I am one of those people who prefer a room clock to check the time....

Farro Great shower curtain! Your question really depends on what time of year that you are travelling...In our experience...early morning might be a busier time to use the water launches....but later in the morning shouldn't be busy at all...

Doing the single digit dance here!! Can't wait for our very first Poly summer stay!

Thanks for your help. I can always bring my own small bottle of champagne from home and get breakfast delivered to our room. Tonga Toast in bed sound like a good surprise for hubby!

Oh they do sell small bottles of champagne at the resort too. Located in the upstairs gift shop in the cooler. Probably cheaper from home but just in case you want more!!

LOVE your shower curtain, @Farro And don't give up on the monorail. Oftentimes it's the easiest and quickest way to get to MK (and the coolest)

It sounds like uber with car seat plus taking our own inflatable booster might work for us.

Just wanted to say that I have these and they're great for travel! I have one for each of my kids (ages 4 1/2 and 6) and they fold up small and are easy to inflate and set up. Love them!
