Does anyone know if we are less likely to get our room requests if we do that magical deal in august? Has anyone had experience getting the room requests they wanted with that? We really want connecting rooms, a certain longhouse and 3rd floor.

we did the magical deal last august and requested third floor monorail view. We got Aoteroa third floor monorail view. I was very happy with the room, that longhouse, and our agent for putting through the request!

After you booked, were you able to make changes if necessary, or did the agent do that for you? Was it easy to go through the agent when making changes? I haven't used a travel agent before...usually do all our planning myself so I'm a little cautious. Just wondering. Thanks!

The folks at that magical agency (provided that is the agency you are discussing) are great to work with and I'm sure you will have no problems adjusting your requests as needed.

So I thought I was safe from construction but now I saw on Tikiman that they are doing work to the long houses exterior now.:( it looks like it would really kill the balcony, I hope this gets done ASAP, I really do not want to worry about this.

We got exactly what we requested :)

I just saw this as well! They are currently working on the longhouse that we were going to request for our trip in two weeks. I think that I will ask at check-in if they are currently doing construction on the exterior of the longhouse that we are assigned. If they are I will probably ask if it is possible to be moved! I have found that if you are friendly and polite the CMs are usually pretty good about accommodating your requests if they can! The construction may not coincide with our sleep and nap schedule!!!

so I am trying to keep up here and find the info that I need within this thread, but I am not doing a very good job, what is the best location for the standard view room, view and building wise, truly appreciate any feedback you guys are willing to give. TIA :)

We booked the Poly deal for Labor Day 2016, and the agent assigned to us was great. Then last month we decided that September was too far away, and I emailed the agent to book another trip on one of their spring rates for a Flower & Garden Festival weekend. A few days after booking the April trip at Beach Club, I realized that I'd had a massive brain fart and double-booked it for the weekend that we already have friends coming in from out of town for a college reunion. The Beach Club ended up being booked for the only other weekend that worked for us, but our agent was so helpful and answered my emails quickly even over the weekend. We got the trip moved to 2 weekends later and over to the Boardwalk. I had already linked the Beach Club reservation in MDE, and the trip was automatically updated to the new dates and resort in MDE almost immediately after I got the confirmation email from our agent. So in my experience so far, making changes with them has been pretty easy!

I know that it is listed in this thread what the options are for a DVC standard view studio room request during online checkin, but I can't find it... Help?

With the new monorail modified schedule I was curious what the bus situation is like between Epcot and poly. Any recent experience? Long lines or waits? Does is often share a bus with another resort?
When we were there in December and the monorail was not running, there were no busses to Epcot - we had to walk to TTC and catch one from there. Same with MK.

Can anyone tell me what the monorail schedule is like this week or does it change from day to day?

Thank you for the insight! Not trying to rankle any feathers...if this kind of question is not allowed, please excuse me...BUT...Can you tell me which agent you were assigned? I had a little communication trouble with an agent from the aforementioned agency and I'm thinking it might have been an agent-specific problem, and not representative of the agency overall. I've read many good things about the agency and I'm willing to give it another try!

Can someone tell me how early I can expect to catch a bus to Disney Springs on a Sunday? We're renting a car from Avis to drive to Port Canaveral and trying to find out if we'll be able to get to the rental location by Disney Springs around 8:30 by bus or if we'd have to get there another way.

Disney Springs opens at 10AM on Sundays. So I think the earliest the buses start running to there are 9:00. If someone know differently, or for sure, hopefully they will be by to correct me.
