I know many of you have chosen to use an outside photographer, but for those of you who used a Disney photographer, did you choose the photojournalistic package? The description says there is an extra photographer there, so I realize that would be more money, but do you really only get posed pictures if you have just the basic package? I don't think I need two photographers if the first one can take more than just posed photos.

Also, did anyone get a Cinderella package? I'm thinking about getting it mainly for the high-res cd, but I don't know if I'll even need it if the photos I like will already be in the album and I can order any extras I need. Is it worth it?

We're in our "selection process" now for our escape wedding. We originally were going to pick an outside photographer, but we decided to stick with Disney. I LOVE the photojournalistic style of wedding pictures in general. We've decided to do both the photojournalistic package AND a Cinderella package because we want the style but we also want the things included in the Cinderella package. It's our best option, and will still be cheaper than trying to get the same things we wanted through an outside photographer (albums, prints, CDs, etc) ;)

Sweetie are you sure about this? I must admit that I am not really too up to date on the prices of DPS packages, but at our recent VR, Randy took nearly 3,000 shots, we received an album with over 200 6x4 prints and 5 CDs with the rights to print from them, for, I think, far less than these packages from DPS would cost.

Agreed! You really might want to price some outside photographers. DH and I were originally going to upgrade to one of the Cinderella packages for our Escape wedding back in June. However, with all the reports of lousy quality from DPS, we looked into an outside photographer. For half the cost of the Cinderella package we were going to go with, we got Randy Chapman for 4 hours (plus he showed up early and stayed a little late), and 4 discs with over 2000 pictures on them and the rights to print them.

We are so glad we did. Our pictures taken by Disney were awful, and if that was all we had to remember our day by, I would have been devastated. In contrast, our pictures from Randy are absolutely gorgeous!

I highly recommend that you do some research. I think the quality of DPS is too hit or miss to leave such an important day up to just them.
