Disney's Passporter?

Can I ask what The Passporter is and why I would need one? I have heard people talking about them. Thanks, Kim

It is a guidebook. It helps you plan your trip and the back has passpockets with spaces to write PS #s, budget info, memories of your trip, character sigs, pockets to hold important stuff, etc. I borrowed my friend's 2004 passporter to look at til the new 2005 book came out this week. It's so neat. There are color, fold out maps of each park, reviews of pretty much every attraction and restaurant in the World, etc. Hope that helps :)

Would you consider the passporter a necessity for a first timer?

I got one for the first time last year, and found it very useful. I also bought the little wallet thingys to hang around your neck. Another very useful thing to have. I kept my PDA in it with the "Disney to go" stuff loaded, along with my key, and some money and a pen. It's water tight, so Splash Mountain isn't a problem, nor the afternoon t-showers so frequent in August. As for first timers, absolutely! It is great for everyone. They have a pretty good website too. http://www.passporter.com/wdw/

They also have the Passporter on Overstock.com for $13.47 with 2.99 shipping no matter how mnay books you get. They had lots of other disney guidebooks too.
