Can it be set up so that if you rent a car at MCO and return it to one of the Disney World rental car sites can you then use Disney's Magical Express to return to the airport?

I priced picking up & dropping the car off at Disney & it was more than if we rented it & dropped it off at the airport. So, even if we could, they still might charge more to drop it off in a different location.

Yes,
I am renting out of Tampa then dropping it at Dolphin Resort versus Car Care Center (as we're going to be going to Epcot, a short skip away) We are using ME from Resort to MCO when we leave.

BY the way, I used Mousesavers to get FREE Emerald CLub (its usually 50.) then rented thru them and then called National, to speak with them and they reduced it even further. I used the Emerald ID code and some coupon they had....I got a Full size vehicle, 5 days for 210w/taxes, with that one way rental. We're happy, and I have decided that trying to rent a car is MUCH worse than FREE dining details, :rotfl2::rotfl2: There might be better deals, :confused3 but I am DONE with cars!
Good Luck! :wizard:

Yes, you can do that.

I'm in the same situation. Trying to price things out to find out the cheapest way to do it. Any advice anyone???

What are you looking to do? Do you NEED to have a car?

We're going to spend 4 days with family before we head to Disney. Once we are there we don't need the car.

Yes, we've done this many times. We usually fly into Tampa, visit with my in-laws in Sarasota and drive to Orlando. We drop the car off at the car care center and take a bus to the resort...easy peasy! We always take the ME to Orlando's airport on the way home. A couple of things though...the care care center is for Alamo/National rental cars so make sure you rent from one of those two companaies. Also, one year we didn't take the fuel option and figured we'd fill up at the car care center prior to returning the car however the gas station was under construction so we had to pay an exoribant fee because the tank wasn't filled. So, make sure you have paid for the fuel option or fill up prior to getting to the care care center!

We have rented a car every trip some people like to use the busing but for us a rental car makes life easier. We started renting cars because my ds is autistic and the crowded buses and waiting on line for a bus could be too much for him. Then we found it convenient for eating outside of disney so save money, now we like to have it because w e like to eat at restaurants at the resorts as well as the parks so it makes it a lot more convenient and time saving then having to take connecting buses to get to a resort. We've gotten some great rental rates the past few trips, I always end up getting the best deal on National like another poster said I joined the Emerald club for free through mousesavers they have a list of discount codes on mousesavers as well and I've used a coupon from the entertainment book. As the trip nears within a few weeks of our trip I start checking the rates if they come down i cancel and rebook. National has what they call last minute specials I believe they run them 2 weeks prior to your rental date I rebooked with that last year for about $130 for 5 nights for a full size and we've paid about the same on our past 2 trips prior to that. I used to just book it and never went to go back to check the rates, but I learned from the dis that they drop make sure to check the day before leaving that was a tip I got on the dis from someone who said they used to work at a car rental place and thats when i saw the biggest drops. I've checked out the pricing if only renting for part of our trip and returning it within disney and it was more than using it for the whole trip and if we wanted to go to a park or another resort for a meal we would'nt have to return to the resort for ME. Sorry to go on so much but after years of research and rentals its nice to pass on the info. Linda :)
