Disney's Magical Express - departing question

Hi.

We are coming into MCO on Monday Sept 14 and plan on using magical express to go to BCV for mon, tues and wed. We are flying out Sat, not Thu, so we are renting a car and doing other fla stuff thu and friday.

My question is:

Can we use magical express to get back to the airport on Thu so we can rent our car even though we dont have a departing flight on that day? We want to save ourself the money for renting a car the 3 days we will be at disney when we wont use the car.

You can take DME to go to MCO the day you check out, or earlier. You don't have to have an airline reservation. BUT

It may be cheaper to rent the car for a week (weekly rate) then renting the car for 3 days. Price it both ways. Also price a rental car with a pickup at the Dolphin and a return at MCO.
