Disney's Inconsistent Phone CM's

This is very frustrating to get different stories every time i call Disney. USPS lost my Magic bands and the cm ordered new ones. I told the cm that if for some reason the original ones come in do i send them back. She told me to call in and they can re activate them.The usps finally delivered the first ones so I called Disney to activate them and to reverse the second order. They told me they can not re-activate the bands. Now i got another set "being customized" and a dead set here. This is frustrating and a waste of extra Magic Bands. Why would they not have consistent information to all cm's?
 
Check your MDE account. The first set may not be "dead". I have 3 sets of bands and all are active and can be used interchangeably. Remember the bands are just a means to access your account information. There is nothing stored on them.
Also, if you call Disney you more than likely get someone in east Oshkosh Wisconsin making reservations in their jammies! If you have any question not reservation related, ask to be transferred to Guest Relations. You'll still get conflicting answers but from farther up the food chain!!
 
Call the My Disney Experience Internet Support Desk at (407) 939-4357 and have them help you. They might be able to get that first set back on your account but the regular Cast Members won't be able to do that part. If they can't do it, that's most likely the final word on it.

The bolded above is not true. The Disney phone lines have Florida area codes.

The phone CMs can be inconsistent, though. Mostly they give you accurate info, but sometimes they are way off. One time I was supposed to get a free $50 gift card with my reservation. I had to change the reservation date, and was told on the phone that I would still get the gift card. Wrong! I got bupkus.

Very true. A call can go into one number and then be rerouted to another number very easily. Or numbers for that matter. There's not one spot in Orlando where all the phone Cast Members sit and answer phones all day. I once called when a hurricane was approaching and got more information from the Cast Member I talked to - because she was working from Tampa and that's where she lived. Sure - it was in Florida but it certainly wasn't at Disney World. Also have called and had dogs barking in the background.
 
I am curious about this. We were due for our magic bands and haven't received them yet. Tracking info is useless with USPS. I wish Disney would stop using them. This is the 3rd package in a row that did not arrive in the promised time. Fingers crossed it isn't lost but who knows!
 
The cm's and guest services reassured me that my magic bands are coming 2nd day air. Guess what......parcel post again so another 8 business days waiting
 
I work at the parks and I cringe anytime someone starts a sentence with "Well, someone on the phone told me..."

They used to ship via Fed Ex or UPS, past people I know got them this way. USPS is a joke for shipping packages! They are so slow!
