Okay... I have a question that's probably going to sound really really bad, but I ask for the guidance of you fine ladies in order not to make some sort of horrible faux pas.
Mike and I will have lived together for three years by the time the wedding rolls around. We have all of the housewares, linens, towels, art, gadgets, electronics, and random junk that we really need. (As a matter of fact, we're going to be having a yard sale to help generate wedding funds!) So, as such... we really don't plan on having another registry besides the Disney Honeymoon registry!
Now, the majority of our friends and some of our family members won't be able to make it down with us, of course. We will be having an at-home receptions when we get back to celebrate with everyone who couldn't be with us at the ceremony. My question is.... how to we *hint* at the disney registry before we get married to these friends who couldn't travel in case they want to contribute? We're planning on having and engagement party to celebrate with everyone up here- is that a good time to let people know of our plans and to spread the word? I don't want to seem greedy (Believe me, I'm just happy to get to go, much less have our wedding there!) but I know that some of our home guests would like to contribute and I just don't know the best way to tell them how!
Help?
