Disney's home

Well, it is private property. Disney or the state would have to be willing to purchase the home at whatever price the owners chose to ask for it. Eminent Domain would not apply, at least I don't think it would.

I live in a 'historical' house (local pioneering family, not a famous former resident). Having it declared a landmark or of historical significance opens a huge can of worms as far as restricting what you can and cannot do, even down to the paint colour. We chose not to do so as it really ties your hands. There are benefits as far as low or no interest loans for maintenance or repair but everything has to be approved.

I agree, you can't save every home a famous person once lived in.

The Carolwood Dr. home would have been the one to save, imo.
