They will almost certainly have it on in the bars around the resort. We were staying at the Poly last year during the NBA Finals and Tambu had it on every night. The only big sporting events I've not been able to catch around the monorail loop bars have been international sports that aren't as popular here, like a few bigger soccer matches and F1.

M. Mouse Mercantile Re-opens at Disney’s Grand Floridian

This merchandise location closed in May 2024 but reopened today with a bright new look and updated design. Let’s check out the newest photos.

M. Mouse Mercantile celebrated its new look today with gold and turquoise balloons and banners themed to match the new color scheme.

Here is a refresher of what the retail store looked like before its refurbishment. Cream-colored walls and a rose floral-themed carpet filled the location.

Today, new decor and details provide a fresh update for the shopping location.

The Grand Floridian is known for its Victorian charm and elegance, and details like these new lighting fixtures add to the overall ambiance.

The large windows are now decorated with breezy, white curtains, and surrounded by floral wallpaper in creams, yellows, and greens.

The carpet has also been replaced with new tiles – and look closely! There are plenty of Mickey’s mixed into the pattern.

And speaking of Mickey, there are over 58 hidden Mickeys on the floor.

Elegant, black-and-white artwork of Mickey and Minnie visiting the resort adds charm just behind the cash wrap area.

The interior of the store has been updated with a bright mint green and white color scheme. It feels fresh and vibrant.

And how sweet are the new Mickey and Minnie Statues?

In addition to the new decor, the store features new displays, and your favorite merchandise is back.


There is a new ear wall featuring a great assortment of Minnie ear headbands.

There are also new shirt walls with Disney-themed apparel and colorful displays of accessories, toys, and more.

Here is another great look at the new offerings.

In addition to Mickey merchandise, there is also Minnie – inspired apparel and accessories.

And the store boasts a great collection of Disney princess wear and pin trading!

WOW, this is a big change! Also seems like a lot more adult merchandise compared to all the kiddie toys in the past iteration.

Admittedly I never went into this shop too often because of that, but now I feel like we’ll want to check it out. I really like how much more bright and airy the space looks with the new floor. That carpeting was really tired looking.

Looking forward to our Dec visit to the Grand. 2 quick questions. I just want to confirm there is no laundry facility in sugar loaf. If you book a resort view are you able to request a turret room.

That is correct that sugar loaf has no laundry. In the past, I was able to request a turret room. They are 6220,6320,6420.

We have a reservation for January 25th-31st 2025. I am plan on requesting a king room for just my husband and I.

Can someone explain the King+ Double Sofa option that is on both Disney’s website and touring plans? I don’t see how you could have a double sofa and both a king bed as the regular configuration that contains just the single day bed. To put the double sofa next to the King bed seems odd.

I’m going probably getting way too into the weeds with this one but have to ask. According to Touring Plans, they’re in both Conch Key and Boca Chica.

I’m thinking it’s probably an error on Disney’s part and they’re all King + day beds but want to make sure.

When I contact Disney via the chat function, they indicated that the room refurbs and lobby were set to be completed this summer. If so, why the notice for January? Also, has the lobby even been remodeled yet?

I believe the carpet and furniture and possibly tile in the main lobby is going to be replaced during this time. I’m staying the last week in January so fingers crossed it still happens before then.

I have an outer building booked so it wouldn’t affect us too much. I’d think twice though about staying club level in the main building, especially for what they charge for those rooms.

That email has been sent to guests for quite some time now. I have seen people report, with trips as far as next summer, that they received a letter. Unfortunately, whatever has been discussed and reported in this thread so far is all we know to date. Rooms are all updated. Lobby is not. A fellow Disser had reported being told the lobby will not be updated until next year. You can see that post HERE. I keep this thread up to date, and as of today, still nothing new to report. I’ll be sure to post it here first if I find out otherwise! In the meantime, feel free to go back a few pages and read through the recent discussion. Enjoy.

We had a quick 2 night stay at WL in a CC studio. Dd was missing ER but the food menu is pretty skimpy imo. I asked her to look at Citricos bar area and maybe we do that instead. The manager was great ! He walked us in and showed us our seating options(it was empty!) and talked about the menu,

Welllll, dd was in a mood . A wedding she has in Sept JB canceled their flight home from Punta Cana . She decided she needed caviar

She also got the cheese plate. I got the Citrico salad and the soup is clam chowder but tomato based.

It was a lovely, relaxing and delightful evening

The bartender took great care of us too. We really enjoyed our dinner.

Highly recommend this bar with a full dinner menu! Also the cheese plate is on the dessert menu. It wasn’t listed on printed menu but on the online one. FYI
DD loves her

Totally agree, we always go to Citrico's bar especially when ER is PACKED. We've had apps there and dessert always amazing!

Stuck at Mco. JB direct canceled. Snagged a quick Mco ATL to Syr . Had to pay but dd needs to get home. Wow it’s crazy here! So many travel delays!

We ended up at swan 1am. Dd on way home and got both our bags this morning. They were quoting 5 hours to get. I’m on my original flight JB direct to syr tonight. I have car keys and parking ramp tickets so I have to do it this way .

She’s flying into AVP. My son gonna fetch her

Then I panicked and added tonight so I have a room , AP swan is pretty reasonable .

Ya all this flights ATL ? So many upset people lol! It was nuts!

We ended up switching both legs in Sept to another airline entirely after our return flight was cut and we were rebooked at 2pm. Of course, now I'm feeling a way since we are booked on Delta. They are really bleeping the bed! But I am glad you and DD are able to get home safe. Was thinking of y'all when I saw the news. Times like these I'm kind of relieved to not be doing the road warrior life anymore.

We may try Citricos bar one night. We are doing a lot of lounges on this trip in lieu of ADRs since the land part was shortened for the cruise. Definitely ER since I still have yet to go. We thought of going there before EEH on our first night. I don't want anything super heavy since I want to last the night.

Ya DD’s flight in Sept canceled and then they canceled us yesterday. Fingers crossed my JB flight tonight goes on time! I am mosaic 3 this year but stopped using my card. Too many issues….
