Shelves have also been installed along the back wall of the bar. While it is a bit hard to see, both ends appear to have several shelves tucked into an open cabinet.

At this point, the middle portion does not have a back. This may be left as open shelving, or it may be closed off to match the ends.

Workers build a wooden structure with stained-glass panels at the Birdcage Bar, similar to themed Disney park interiors, white curtains nearby.
They are a dark brown wood to match other elements of the bar’s design, including the roof and counters.

The blue film still covers the countertops, which were recently installed.

That herringbone is going to take time to get used to. I guess/hope it will look less jarring with stools on it.

Good evening folks. We are thinking about switching to a water view room at GFL. We would like to have a room with an open balcony. Obviously we will ask not to be on the first floor, but it’s hard to tell which areas have closed balconies. Are there buildings that have more closed balconies than others, or it is a top floor thing? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

The enclosed balconies usually run with the top floor dormer rooms. Floors two, three and four will have the ‘open’ balcony you are looking for.

Just noting that dormer rooms with closed balconies are also located on the fourth floor. The fifth floor does not extend across the entire building for architectural interest.

@VicarJT I would request upper floor, no dormer if you want higher than the third floor with an open balcony.

Thank you both - we will do that!

In person I liked the colors of the lobby vs pix. Can’t wait for the bird cage bar. It looks pretty! If only the orchestra was back…..

Disappointed to is staying at the grand but moving to BLT worked. Having a 2nd full bath and large living area was nice for 4 adults and a baby. We walked to and from MK every day! Easy with a stroller.

Dd was on it, before security take your baby bag and stuff easy to carry out of stroller. You walk with baby bag though security and they check baby in stroller fast.

If you leave a bunch of crap in the stroller they go through it all and takes time. Condense, carry and move on!

not sure the age of your kids... but the pool has always been a limiting factor for us compared to VGF.... is the splash pad at CR nice?
