Take the bus from the outpost depot (bus stop near check in). They will begin running early enough to get you to epcot. I would be at the bus stop at 7 am.We are coming to stay at the Fort in a cabin 6/25-7/2 and have a pre-park opening ADR at Epcot on Friday, 7/1 @ 8:20 am. Can someone tell me the quickest/best way to get there and how much time it may take? If taking a cab is best, how much $ approx would that be? We've always taken Disney transportation (we will not have a car).
Thank you!!
We did online check in in November and received a text when we landed in Orlando that our cabin was not quite ready. Then we received the text later saying our cabin was ready and the room number. I did have to go to the front desk to ask about getting the golf cart. Otherwise we could've skipped itYes I do online check in but normally am too early arriving so I still go in to check in. I will see how it goes in two weeks!
Anyone know how long I can wait to book a golf cart? I'm not sure if we'll need it, and it's a fair expense I'd rather spend on fishing and archery and pony rides. But I'm worried that I'll decide I want one, and they'll all be booked. Especially since we would want one with three rows as we're a party of six.
Take the Blue Flag Launch from FW > CR > monorail to Epcot
The 2 Blue Flag motor launches on Bay Lake serving the Contemporary Resort, Wilderness Lodge and Ft. Wilderness begin running at 6:45am daily. They both run clockwise until 3pm and then reverse direction. These launches run until 11:30pm.

Question... DH and DS will be doing horseback riding while DD and I enjoy playground or beach or whatever. We have HDD when they are finished. We will be there in early September. Wondering where the best comfort station or other place would be for us to get cleaned up before dinner?? TIA!!
Thank you so much!!There is a bathroom directly to the left --as you look at the Front of the HDD. If you are looking for showers, plus restroom facilities, you will need to walk to the camp ground loop. The closest would be the shared comfort station for the 100-200 loop. You will need to bring your own toiletries and towels. Have a great trip.

We are booked with DDP! My party of six (me, DH, 3 DS ages 11, 9, and 6, and DD age 2) will be spending Halloween at the Fort! Oct 30-Nov 4. Anything we should know about the holiday?
Thanks for the tip about taking the boat to CR and then walking to MK.
First trip for me to WDW in 25 years, and first trip for everyone else in the family. Excited!
Thank you for all the information!
I haven't decided if it's too mean to explain that the reason there is so much Disney is because Disney is nearby, but we're staying at a cabin this trip and we'll come back... lol! Maybe we'll tell her before we arrive. Hm.
Hi all,
I am considering staying in the cabins for 2 weeks next year (June or July). They look great. My only concern is how easy it is to get around resort internally. We will have a car, and I know we can park in front of cabin. Driving to the parks is fine for us also.
We plan on going for 2 weeks and wonder how easy it is to get to pool for swimming or to store, waterfront area. We don't want to rent a golf cart.
Just an FYI this took 2 hours almost on Saturday afternoon this week... I planned an hour, but the monorails kept stopping and the one did not have air either that we were stuck on the longest... Not sure what the issue was, it was the zootopia monorail. it stopped before every stop like it was a traffic delay. But there was NO traffic before it. I personally would take a taxi and bank on it being around 20 dollars. Also maybe call Fort Wilderness directly and ask about the buses or shuttles I have heard of them offering rides in a van to certain restaurants, just do not remember which.
