Disney's 'Family Fun' Tour....

You most likely won't encounter trouble making the reservation. It seems as if many people don't know about the tour, so it should be no problem. I would definately call and try...And don't be alarmed when the phone rep doesn't give you a lot of info about the tour...I think that is part of the fun!

...:scratchin...now you REALLY have my curiosity piqued!

I booked it today for 8/17 as a surprise for the kids, however the tour ressie lady said it was the "Family Magic" tour. She did describe this particular tour...scavanger hunt through MK that you have to dress comfy for because you may do some silly things. Starts at 10am near City Hall and it was $27 per person. I swear I've planned more surprises for my kids this trip and it's MY bday. I guess treating them to special things makes me feel happy too. My kids love WDW trivia so this should be great. My only concern is that's the morning of EMH at MK (because that's the day I plan for us to be there most of the day) so we may not get as much done. This just seems really cool.

...what a GOOD mommy you are..... :thumbsup2 !!

I went on this tour last year and totally enjoyed myself! No young ones to take with me, and it' not my DH "cup of tea"....so I did it by myself......going with my two grand-nephews in November of this year, and can't wait to do it again! As a 51 year old (at that time) I participated fully in the whole tour/scavenger hunt/antics/fun! Some of the younger adults didn't participate, and I'm sure they didn't have as good a time as I did! Book it and enjoy it!!!!! (by the way, sometimes it's just Wendy or Peter Pan on the tour...they're humans and get sick every once in a while, so you may not see both of them..so don't promise the little ones that Peter and Wendy will be there, most of the time they are, but if Wendy catches a cold, or Peter has a virus, they stay home and take care of themselves!)

You have got me so pumped for this! Thank you for the great reviews. And the video - wow!!!! I think my two older DSs will have an incredible time!

As you can tell from the video, our group was a nice size. The youngest was a little girl who was three with her older sisters, around 6 and 8. They were just with their mom on the tour. Then there was another family of four besides us with two daughters, around 7 and 12. The folks in red are us and our kids were DD, 9 and DS, age "12-next-month."

He will be "14-next-month" when we go this Christmas and I know we got to do the tour just in time as there is no way he'd have been as playful this time around. (Too grown up now, sigh.)

A re-cap since the video skips around a lot:
You'll check in and start with the exciting announcement that our group has been specially picked to help clean up the Magic Kingdom. A call will come in that steals away that excitement: Hook's best hook is missing and he's threatened to do something dastardly if we don't get it back. Pan has left us map with clues, which takes us to the central hub, then to Tomorrowland, through Sonny's, to the Wishing Well, over the Cinderella's fountain, around to adventureland, through, frontierland, then to liberty square, doing all kinds of crazy things along the way.

The funniest part is most people don't even give you a second look!

The private roped off area with Pan and Wendy lasts for a nice 10-15 minutes where they just talk, play, and take pictures with the kids.

Then we all walked around to Philharmagic, were brought in to a special area, and seated front and center. Peter made us all crow when we saw him in the show.

We got a Magical moments certificate afterwards.

My suggestion would be to try to do this later in your trip, after you've done the rides and touring yourselves so there is no dissention in the group about wanting to do other things as you race through all the lands.

...'sappy person', right here.... :yay:  .....did WDW make the video, or did YOU??? And, did you also add the music...I LOVE IT!

:wave2: I made it!

The music is from one of the many CDs I can't resist when we are at the parks.

The song is called "Share a Dream Come True" from the "Music in the Streets" CD that contains all the current parade music plus some bonus tracks.

You get a 20% discount with a Disney Visa????? I have a Disney Visa, how do I get the discount? I already booked the trip but I guess I could see if I could re-book with the discount.
