Disney's Electrical Parade Last Showing 4/18/10 EVER!

At this time, there is no scheduled return of the Parade to the Disneyland Resort.

What that tells me is that they just don't have a plan yet as to when it will return. If you read Jim Hill media, he says it's leaving DCA because of crowd concerns for WoC this summer. I have faith it will return to DL, someday.

DL will have trouble hosting the DEP with fireworks... im not too sure how that will all work... i dont remember how it used to work.

I too remember the last time EP left for good. I still have my special ticket (keeps going up in value!)....

LOL I have a commemorative light-bulb from a float from the MSEP that they sold when they took apart the floats because the parade was leaving forever.

I am very sad to see it go to FL as it is my favorite parade and brings back childhood memories every time I see it. We can only hope it will be back in again in a decade or so. (fingers crossed)

Yea I mean technically they aren't saying it will never return but just there are no plans for it to return at this time. I am going to miss it too, I have the feeling it will be back eventually.

I think it will be back once the crowds from WoC lessen. You know build it back up, gain excitement, etc.

When it left DL, I bought the VHS of it and used to watch it all of the time !!!

I think so too. Afterall, it just says that Disney's Electrical Parade is leaving forever, not the Main Street Electrical Parade. Maybe it will be a few years but I bet the MSEP will be back sometime.

I also remember the last time it left, never to return. I remember that they were selling lightbulbs but I didn't get one.

Thanks Judy! I totally think I need to do it-and sooner rather than later. I mean what's another $140 in the grand scheme of things? I'll just add it to the next project I do!

Especially now based on Albort's post of EP being from 3-19 to 4-11 and 4-16 to 4-18 now we only have 7 days to see it. Definitely need to upgrade to pick up some extra viewing days. (it doubles our days to 14 figuring block out days and DNephew's days off.)

I will just miss it! It was a huge childhood favorite of mine! I will hold out hope that it will someday come back as MEP. Now THAT would be nostalgic!

And, quite frankly, I wouldn't mind if the Electrical Parade went to visit Florida for awhile, if that meant it'd be back on Main Street eventually...

I feel the same. And, honestly, I'd rather it be in use than spend 2 or more years mothballed and perhaps forgotten about. It's a great parade, a classic, and I'm happy to have it running and will wait for it's return to DL!

So, so happy that we'll be able to see it a couple of times while we're there next month.
It's a 'classic' for sure ~ and definitely gives me 'goosebumps' every time I hear the music start.

Not happy. Really not happy. I missed out on it in November because they weren't showing it. Now I'm going the end of April/Beginning of May and it's gone? Really peeved right now. Disney is not scoring points with me right now... especially with hotel prices the way they are...

It will indeed be going to Magic Kingdom Park.

SpectroMagic, along with the Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams Fireworks Spectacular will be going on hiatus for at least the length of the Summer Nightastic! Special Event.

They did it for nearly 25 years before. I'm sure y'all figure something out.
