Disney's Electrical Parade Last Showing 4/18/10 EVER!

And this is one of the reasons I'm glad we're going to WDW instead of DL this summer. We were originally going to go to DL for my birthday in june but now were going to WDW instead....I was so happy to see that EP is going to be at MK this summer!!!!

but hopefully, since its the last time we will go to WDW for a while and we live only an hour from DL, that the EP will be back to DL eventually

I saw this the other day. Thanks for posting this for the others. I am just so happy they will bring it back in a few years. Its just basically to send off floats so they can have a bit of extra storage use for all the construction bits they are needing right now. Once all or most of the construction is over they can once again have room to put back the electrical parade floats.

Can you view the parade at 9:00 and actually make it over to DL to view the 9:25 fireworks? Does the people lined up to watch prevent you from getting close to the hub?

Also, if I really have to go March 29-April 4, what day would be most survivable? Wednesday? I'm not sure I can make it later in April.

That would be a challenge even for our dedicated DangerMouse. I did not realize they were scheduling DEP so late at 9PM. It has been showing at 8:45 for a number of years now and it was tough but possible to make it to see the DL fireworks at 9:25. I never tried it but DangerMouse and others did.

I doubt you can make it to DL to see the fireworks by 9:25. The parade lasts about 20 minutes. If you see it at the beginning by Paradise Pier you would be finished by 9:20. If you see it near the end in Sunshine Plaza it will not finish until 10-15 minutes after that because it takes awhile to arrive there. Then you have to exit DCA and enter DL where there are usually lines of people at the turnstiles. So getting in to see fireworks by 9:25 seems highly improbable. I would not waste time trying myself. :)

To your other question, if you are on a day trip I would choose Wednesday without a second thought.

Well, now I know what we'll be doing in the middle of April. LOL I was planning a day trip with dh before his pass expires so now it will be an evening trip.

My guess is that, like most things Disney, it will show back up again at some point in some way. That's one of the things I love about Disney.

I missed this! Now I don't have to go down there. *Phew* I just would hate to be at DLR and not see the fireworks. As cool as EP may be, I'd hate to miss the fireworks, although F! is my fav.

so i have to make sure in 2013 when we go we see this well alright at least it be back till sucks not gona see it this year.

That is good news. I would have been really surprised if it did not return. I would prefer to not see it go on hiatus to begin with though.

I have a knot in my stomach now....we will be there from April 24-May1 and I SO wanted by DD4 and DD16months to see it:furious:
