I am looking for any opinions or first hand expereinces with the Dolphin. I am planning a stay there in December and have never visited the property. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

We just returned from 3 days at the Dolphin and I think for the price you can get compared to other "Disney" resorts you can't go wrong. It is newly remodeled has a large pool recreation area along with the Swan and is clean, beautiful and a great place to relax.

If I had a complaint is that the Dolphin is an immense resort, so everything is a bit of a walk. But just more to see on the way!!!!

Oh please, do tell. Are the pictures on the Disney website telling the truth? the white fluffy beds and pillows? Also, do any of hte standard rooms have balconies? thanks for the info.:wave2:

Hi...we stayed 12/20 for 3 nights last Christmas. We were traveling to see family and needed to break up the drive from Chicago. Saw the AWESOME rate of $99 p night and decided we would stop at the Dolphin. We were not doing any parks as we had just been there in August, but the resort is beautiful! We were so sad that we had to check out on Xmas Eve, but needed to get to my mom's. This was our first stay there, and now it is DH absolute favorite! I loved the pool area, the LOCATION is amazing...considering how much less you can get this property for compared to the Boardwalk/BC or YC...WELL, we are returning THIS christmas and will be staying 7 -10 nights! The beds are all white and fluffy, large size rooms, the standards do not have balconies, but I don't think you will mind much. If you go to ALLEARS.NET they have a slide show of photos of the resort, and ther is a facts/thread here that is amazing! We are staying at WL for the first 2 nights of our trip, and DH is trying to get me to switch...but kids want to be there too. I think you will really enjoy the Dolphin!

Finfan said it all--perfect location, great rooms, excellent prices, and heavenly beds. You get a deluxe room and service for the price of moderate. There are standard rooms with balconies, but technically you are supposed to pay extra for this. The wing we stayed on had balconies in every other room, but we would have had to pay extra for it. I was a little unsure about a balcony anyway because it is wrought iron, very climbable, and we have two rambunctious toddlers! :scared1: :scared1:
