Disney's Cruella

Learn how everyone's favorite villain got her start with Disney's Cruella which is slated to debut in theaters Summer 2021. Emma Stone will play a teenage Cruella DeVil trying to become a successful fashion designer similar to the Diana Ross movie Mahogany. Other stars that will appear in Cruella is Glenn Close. With the success of the 101 Dalmatians live action movies do you think Cruella will do well in theaters when it debuts thus summer?

I think it will... Emma Stone has a lot of fans, plus as Maleficient; it's attractive when a villain is the main character. And it's Disney, so, yes I belive it will do well. From the trailer, it looks really attractive. I wait for it eagerly.

First off, I must mention that the lead actress has somewhat of a very striking resemblance to Eva Green and she has perfected that maniacal laugh down to a science. Can you say smoking hot? What's not so hot is the fact that you can clearly tell that her accent is fake. Moving along, I'm shocked that Disney basically decided to make a movie about a woman who likes to skin puppies. If you ask me, it's the Disney version of Joker.

I heard the comparations to Birds of Prey, and Harley Quinn. Emma here does give a similar, yet not complete, vibe as Eva. Eva is darker and more striking, that being said, Stone will make a fun and interesting Cruella I suppose, and for the rest of the impact depends on the whole role, movie and script. I wait for this one too. I sense it's gonna do well,better from the last ones, at least.

I don't know if she was ever good, but I must admit the very stylish trailers do have me more interested than I expected to be.

I also think that it will be sort of revenge movie. I mean, if they make her semi-good as Maleficent, they gonna need some redimable characteristic. Skinning puppies is 100% evil. No redeeming of any sort! So, maybe they will play it out with the Emma Tompson character being bad with her, and having dalmatians, so Cruella maybe will try to get to her thru the puppies. Still, very bad! I don't have a clue really.

Well, killing puppies is definitely the top of the evil list! No other Disney villain can compare - and at least most of them have somewhat understandable motivations like wanting to rule the kingdom or whatever. Killing puppies for a coat - even the most evil of Disney Villains would say that's going too far!

It's hard to say. I mean, making Cruella sympathetic will be hard - then again they did it with Maleficent, though they changed the story greatly. IF they change the story that much it may work, but then again, it's not really Cruella if she isn't making clothes out of animals. With MAleficent, they kept the same basic issue - that she was slighted by not being invited to the party - they just added a ton of backstory as to why. I don't know that any amount of backstory can justify killing Dalmation pups!

Yes, it worries me she is the main character, so they will kind of make her redeemable. If it was "101 Dalmatians"movie only, I would be sure she is made the way she really is. Like this, I don't really know. I mean, if she is truthfull to the animated film, and 100% bad, what kind of message they'll sending? No, that is not it.
