Resort Thread Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS Resort

That's not the lobby.

That is where the old pre-tower lobby was.

This area, pictured, is between the tower and El Centro area where Rix/Maya Grill/El Marcado is.
Yes, I know it’s not the main lobby. Not really sure what to call it, but it is a lobby of sorts lol I updated it to say lobby by the marketplace.

Impulsively I booked a quick trip for November. This will be my first time staying at CSR- Im excited to stay here. I've never even been on property - Im looking forward to all the research I get to do before I get there and then some exploring!

I hope you enjoy it. It's our favorite resort. Beautiful landscaping, great restaurants, stunning architecture and beautiful lobby in the tower. Oh, yeah...and a great pool and most importantly great bartenders (margaritas).

Thank you for the suggestions!

I've stayed at POFQ - and loved how small it was. I think Im prepared for the size difference, and I think I will like variety of food and drinks (mostly the margaritas!)

Any suggestions on making room requests? I have a standard room so I know Ill be in the cheap seats and thats OK. Ill have a car so I dont necessarily need to be near the bus but someplace maybe a little quiet would be nice. And I dont think November will be pool weather for me!

We just got back and were in building 8C (room 8971 to be specific) and we found the location to be really good! It's the first building next to the tower so super short walk to those amenities. We actually had a partial view of the lake, and the bus stop isn't that far away. To us, CSR was pretty similar to the size and walking amount as CBR...

We love CSR. We’re in the minority but I always ask for a room in Ranchos. We like the pool over there and it’s close to the Dig Site. I know a lot of people don’t like the sprawling nature of this resort so they think Ranchos is too far out but I think the grounds are lovely there and enjoy the walk.

Does Coronado Springs have one of those actual creamer/milk machines by the coffee or just the little coffee mates? Tried to find a picture of the coffee station but can’t find one. Thanks

Super excited!! Just switched from Pop to CSR under the new spring promo. Tell me how a standard room at CSR was almost $300 cheaper than a standard room at Pop for our trip in late May?? (9 nights, 6 day park hoppers with regular dining plan: $5489 for Pop and $5196 for CSR)
It’ll be our first time staying at this resort so I’m excited to check a new one off the list.

Hello, just wondering for an upcoming 4 night stay, how often does the room get cleaned?

If it doesn’t get cleaned every night, are we able to request clean towels?

It's easy you got a discount rate at CSR vs regular rack rate at Pop. $300 over 9 nights is only about $34 per night but you are giving up Skyliner access to Epcot & HS for a bus. A discount anyway you can get it is good.

Oh I know. I’m just saying that this was even with the spring discount applied at Pop. We’ve done Pop a hundred times and I’ll definitely miss the skyliner but I couldn’t pass up getting this for cheaper and trying something new.

Yes you can ask for towels and coffee

They say every other day but I’ve had to call in the past because no one came. At least in the tower

Your room should be cleaned on day 3 (every other day schedule), but you can certainly request more towels, coffee, pillows, ....whatever you might need. I hope you have a great trip. Coronado is our favorite resort!!

We were booking a trip for the spring and also picked CSR over POP for the amenities and it was slightly cheaper for us. Had never stayed at either, but also have never stayed at a value resort. It's two adults, so we opted for CSR with its hot tub and dining choices. The only other moderate I have stayed at is POFQ and I picked it because it is compact. I've walked around CBR and Riverside, but never CSR, so we'll see how it goes! We've relied only the bus at a few resorts and never had a problem, so I am not lamenting not having the skyliner since I've never stayed at a skyliner resort and we're not visiting DHS this time around.

I am going in December to visit DD in DCP. I was booked at Pop at rack rate (no CM discounts for our dates and she checks daily) but some 20% off rooms opened up at CSR so I booked it. This will be our third stay there and I'm very excited. It will also be my birthday while I'm down there so I decided to upgrade a bit.

We stayed there on a mother daughter trip in 2022 and a few weeks ago we visited her as a family (SO, DS, DS GF). We had two rooms and used her CM discount. On that trip I really realized how much I truly like CSR. Since it was all adults we utilized more of the offerings. We ate at Toledo, hung out at Dahlia lounge, got coffee a few times and chilled out at Barcelona lounge, spent time at the pool (this time having a few drinks and eating), mobile ordered Three Bridges while we watched the Phillies game in the room and watched the Eagles game at Rix Sports Bar. On our last morning I actually got some coffee from Barcelona lounge and a donut at Cafe Rix and sat by the water and relaxed alone for an hour or two while everyone slept in.

We've been in Ranchos both times so this trip I requested Casitas. I would like to be closer to the tower even though I don't find it to be a long walk. Last trip I would've requested Casitas but our only request was connecting/adjoining rooms as to make it more likely to get the request which we did.

We've never had issues with the buses and rarely have to stand. I have been on the bus where it never pulls into the tower on the way to the parks since the bus is already full to capacity. I've also seen the bus too full to put another ECV on.
