Yes usually disney is great with making up for things and I don't think they are in this situation.
Called back this morning and explained that we aren't too happy with this change and the CM said the best she could do was put a note that we request a room close to the lobby. Definitely don't feel like it's the best they can do but I guess we will make the best of the situation.
  I KNOW you will have a great time and keeping a positive attitude will help greatly!! It's Disney, you know you'll have fun
! I am waiting for the dreaded phone call now myself as we are traveling very close to your dates...

 And worst case if money gets tight before then I can always "downgrade" to Standard and hope for the best with our room location.
