Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

I wouldn't plan on ever putting the stroller under the seat I don't think it will fit in most seats and if you end up with a packed bus it would be a pain to get out on the way back to the resort I would see about having them sit on your lap and the folded stroller in between your legs

We do it every trip. This is our 4th trip with our kids and the city minis fold flat and fit right under the seat. :) Very convenient because they're not in anyone's way. But I've never stayed at a resort with multiple stops where I wasn't in one of the first stops so the bus has always been empty when we get on.

FYI- I just noticed that more rooms opened up for FD at CS when we are going 12/1 thru 12/8. We actually upgraded to a water view King for cheaper than a standard view King we had reserved. :cool1:

Unless I'm missing something there is no FD Dec 1st-8th? Typically never is on those dates.

We're staying 8/15 - 8/24. DD12, DH44 and me 47. We will be arriving around 10 a.m. We'll be using the buses. We will probably use the main pool 3 or 4 times during our stay. I plan to do laundry in the middle of our stay. We'll spend most of our time at the parks and eat our meals at the park, except breakfast which we'll eat in the room or at the food court.

What location would you recommend?

ETA: We have a standard room reserved.

Anywhere in the Cabanas would be good for you.

We were there end of May/early June this year and stayed in 9B. That being said, if we had gone to Bus Stop 1 on our MK mornings we'd have never seen a bus! We watched 2 go past us at Bus Stop 4 one MK morning at 730ish and finally squeezed our 7 people on a 3rd one that passed (like 45 mins of waiting). We from then on walked to Bus Stop 2 for MK trips and every time it was full by Stop 3 and didn't even hit 4 or 1. My husband tried to get to MK to meet up with us our last day there. He waited for 30 mins at stop 1, bus never came, even with a cast member standing there with a clip board. He then hopped a bus to somewhere else, where he got on the monorail to go to MK. Our only complaint at CSR was that there needed to be far more bus volume for MK park. All the other parks, go to 4 or 1, whatever is closer to your room for the most part. Bus Stop 2 is about 5 mins walk (we had ages 70+ down to 7 years old with us so all walking speeds and leg sizes) and worth it if you really want to get on a first bus you see for MK.

Thanks for the info! It is very helpful! :)

Does anyone happen to know what type of coffee maker is in the room? I am wondering if it is a regular type coffee maker or the one that uses pods? Thanks :)

Yay I managed to get an 8.05 reservation at Crystal Palace one morning.
My question is what time should we aim to be at the MK for if we want to get some photos in front of the castle before heading to the restaurant?

Also, do you think it's best to take a taxi from the resort that morning? Or would the resort bus be ok? What time do they even start running?

I'm fairly certain it was the pods when I was there, (I don't do coffee), but hopefully someone else will verify that for you.

Does anyone know anything about the refurb happening in Pepper Market? I saw an article today showing some of the food booths were shut down and that it would take a couple months to complete. We are going in September and I'm hoping its done by then as that restaurant is one of the main reasons we go to CSR. Plus the booth that was closed down was the nacho booth

Haven't heard anything about a refurb at PM, they just did one. Where was the article?

Ok, so they are making some changes at Pepper Market to help with people flow. They are taking out the Mexican food station and replacing with cash registers. All the food offered at this station will still be offered elsewhere. This isn't a major refurb, just a small adjustment to make things quicker for guests. This construction is only expected to take 2-3 weeks and should be finished by mid-July. Credit for the info goes to Buzz!

Hello, I am in the very early stages of planning our WDW trip for next spring. I realize that 2015 rates are not out yet, but it got me thinking. How early do people book their stay? Do you wait until the special offers are announced for your stay or do you book a package as soon as you know the dates you will be going? Is there an advantage to booking early and then modifying. It seems there may be a cost to change your package. I know you can start making ADR's 180 days out and there is some early time frame for FP+ reservations. but other than that it just seems soooo overwhelming. I have been trying to read as much as I can from these forums.

Another question, do, they send you your magic bands once you pay for your package?

I know we are going in May 2015, we will be staying at CSR and the flights shouldn't be a problem as I have more than enough airline points to cover it and there is a regular daily schedule to MCO from our airport.

Thanks,

Mark in MN

I always book my package as soon as rates come out (hopefully in the next week!). When and if a discount comes out I call and have that applied to my reservation. There is no extra cost or charge to do this. I just like having my plans made as soon as possible since I know I am able to add discounts later... From what I understand with Magic Bands, you will get those a few weeks before your trip. If I am mistaken on that, someone chime in!!!

Next May will be our first stay at CSR and we are so excited to try this resort!

We booked our September stay before we knew if they would have FD or any other "specials". To me it all depends on if you are going to go during that time regardless of if there are specials or not. We knew we were going to go during the time we picked even if there were no specials. You can always add the specials on after if any come up.

We arrive at DW on August 31. MDE says we have until July 31st to customize our band and then they will be shipped out. I think it's more of a time frame than when you pay off your vacation.

We have never had a "charge" to change our package. The only thing that would change the price is if you add days, add tickets, possibly if you have a discount on the room but decided to go with the FD instead it could change the price but I've never heard of or actually been charged a fee to change our package. That could all depend on how close to the actual date of your vacation you decide to make changes I guess.
