To guarantee the least amount of walking book a Business Class room Cabanas 9B. If you can get one of the first rooms as you approach from the lobby you will have the busstop literally right outside your door, the bridge to the Digsite pool right there, and a 2 min walk to the food court. Location can't be beat!:thumbsup2

I completely agree with this!!!

I have a Prefered Room ressie at the end of that two week period.(Dec. 12th) Where will I be put if I have paid for a Prefered Room?

We had an awesome time on our CSR vaca, but just booked our 2015 trip for the Poly! So bye for now guys! I'm sure we'll be back :)

Stayed at CSR for the first time a couple of weeks back for the Earmarked Convention. Beautiful but HUGE resort! We were in Ranchos and it was quite a walk to the front of the resort. I just booked the kids and I at CSR for Easter. This time, however, we've booked a business class room. It'll be nice to be near the main building!

How does online check in differ from check in upon arrival?
I have a requested building, will online check show my request or do I need to be in person?

thanks in advance
4 days and counting.......

I had done online check-in for my stay 11/15-11/22. The CM knew of my requests because she made a point to say that unfortunately, I did not get either request. I was told that it is harder to meet requests for longer stays than shorter stays. I was also told that if I really didn't like the room, I could check back each day to see if there was one I could move to. I never felt the need to move as the room I got was fine (Ranchos, first floor---had requested Cabanas-top floor).
The main difference is that your information is already in the computer and your packet will be ready with your room number etc. It should be quicker to go through the Online Check in line since the CM needs less information from you.
Have a great trip!

We just got back from a 4 night stay in Standard Business Class. Our room was on the backside of 9B so had a nice view of the pond and very quiet though could hear the road as soon as we opened the door (luckily did not hear it at all inside room). We only used the lounge once in the Evening, but did consistently enjoy breakfast and loved the everything bagels along with the mixed berries (which had some of the largest blackberries I have seen). The lounge could use one more table to sit and eat at in my opinion. Room location is great having a short walk to El Centro and from our room, was only a 4 minute walk to Bus Stop 1.

As previous posts have mentioned, the only bus problem we had was for Magic Kingdom opening. We arrived at Bus Stop 1 at 7:15am for an 8am opening. There was an attendant at the stop who informed us at 7:35am that the bus filled at stops 2, 3, and 4 so they were dispatching a bus just for our stop and it arrived at 7:45. It was nice that they have the attendant there for those situations but found it ironic that others mentioned having issues with rope drop at Magic Kingdom and the buses at this resort and we encounter the issue as well. All other transportation was great, always getting a seat except for a trip to Hollywood Studios on Thanksgiving morning.

Didn't use the pool since we were in sweaters at the beginning of the trip and busy days by the time it did warm up.

I just thought of something to mention to upcoming guests. This only applies if you are driving. One thing that seemed to cause a lot of issues for guests is the internal gate system to get into the resort (not the gatehouse with the attendant). The gate seemed to be very erratic. We determined that it worked best if you remove your magic band (I actually took mine off and gave it to my DH, who was driving), and hold it directly on the pad so the Mickeys touch. DON'T wave it back and forth, take it off and on, etc--just touch it and hold it still for a second or two. This seems to activate it best. If this doesn't work, push the button. Someone must be monitoring because pushing the button seems to get an immediate response. Over a week, this actually cost us quite a bit of time waiting for people to figure it out, so I thought I'd mention it in hopes of helping someone out!

Here now! Partner is bouncing back and forth from the pool and hot tub. I grabbed a beer and am planted in a poolside chair. Not going to write any detailed review yet, but loving the resort so much. In casitas 4, minutes away from stop 2. Very, very happy.

Oh, and the slide is open, in case people are still wondering!

Just got my puzzle in the mail today.
Had a picture of the pals statue in front of the castle and added hi ya pals see you real soon to it
Giving it to the kids for Christmas to figure out.
My wife says it's to far out and they will drive us nuts which is prob true but it's getting hard to keep the secret anyways.

What day you getting there? I'll be there the 12th about noon and my counters say different things, so either 9 or 10 days...

We tell the kids next Wednesday and it is KILLING me at this point. I can't believe they don't know.

OH no. You are saying 9 and I'm 2 days behind you. :rotfl2: My ticker here says 10 days, WDW just sent me a 10 days to go email but my Countdown clock on iPad says 9 days, 11 hours, 49 minutes and 49 seconds. But, really whose counting??

:cool1:

Thanks for this info. We are driving from Canada. Wondering if you chose to get to theme parks by the Disney buses or by your own car. Can you share why as well? We are arriving for the busiest time of the year....yep, Christmas. Had to jump off the deep end for our first trip. Nuts!

We drive from NJ. Once we get to WDW we park the truck and use disney transportation. The only time we use the truck is if we are going off property for something. Disney usually is our second stop so we have water and snacks and stuff prior to arriving. we do have a few favorite spots off property so we try to squeak them in. We don't mind waiting for the buses. My kids actually love it!
