Hello everyone! I'm back after an absence planning/executing our trip to Europe. What have I missed re: CSR? Last I heard they were doing some kind of light refurb, I think, and had something else planned for next year? Can anyone help rebuild my memory? All that info got pushed out of my brain to make space for how to say, "Get the #$&% out of my way!" in French. :lmao:

Have they done away with the express checkout? We didn't used to be required to go down in person to checkout. But on Friday we are switching from preferred to business class and they said I have to come down Friday morning to check in and out?! Is there a way around this? Trying to hit MK first thing that morning and it will be tough if I have to check out/in in person and deal with moving our luggage!

I think it's because you're switching rooms, not technically checking out.

Sadly they didn't have those brownies at CSR, when we ate there. We did go to the Grand Floridian and ate at a quick service there and they had them. Not sure if it's only deluxes that carry them or random.
oh well, glad I didn't have my heart set on them. :(

Is there anyway to find out if conventions will be at CSR April 21-28? Thank you.

As of right now, one is scheduled from the 19-22 and another one TBD. It looks like that one will be after the 22 from the way it is listed.

Thanks, I found it…..looks like a nurses convention through the 22nd and then a child care workers convention. How much do these impact your stay at CSR? We've never stayed at CSR but it was the only moderate resort I could book with the bounce back offer in a standard room? We love the Port Orleans resorts so I'm nervous. Dig Site looks amazing but I'm concerned about the conventions, size, walking, and especially the non Disney owned food court for my food allergy family……Any words of wisdom from all of you on here to make me feel better?! It's a savings of $300 over 7nights to stay at CSR over Royal Guest room standard at POR. we have a 9year old son. Thanks!

Sorry if this has been asked a zillion times. Always hard to go back and search through hundreds of pages!

If we don't happen to be there when our Garden Grocer order arrives, the hotel will still hold it for us, correct? Or did I make that up (I probably did...)?

10 days!:cool1:

I am sure I missed it, but what is teh $$ to upgrade to BC?
Also, can you request it by doing "online check-in"?

We arrive the 5th and are looking into BC. If we can save on breakfast for a family of 4 (No dinning plan) close to the upgrade cost, it seems like a no brainer.

15 days and counting to our 1st CSR stay......

Thanks in advance

If you wanted BC you would have to change your reservation, as it's a room category not just a request online!

Thank you for the help!

Just noticed Pop Warner starts 12/5, instead of 12/6 like I originally read. We leave the 6th. I'm getting worried that PW could make our trip a bit less enjoyable from things I've read... I'm just going to try and not think about it!

Look at the bright side, nothing is as bad as (most) South American groups

Last week they ran a test at the main pool serving breakfast until 10am. They tested it for 2 days then decided to serve it daily. We ordered breakfast twice . It was much hotter and fresher than the breakfast from the pepper market. The manager overseeing this said that they are doing this so people in the rooms farther out do not have to walk as far and the food wont be cold when they bring back to their room. We ate ours poolside one day and brought back to our room the next day. Really nice.

Wow, I hope that sticks! That would make it much better to be located in Ranchos for us.

Just checked in last night, nice room location in Casitas 5, top floor. But the A/C doesn't work, just blows warm air, and it was a rough night for sleeping. Since we are here for 15 nights and the place is pretty much sold out, I sure hope they fix it and it's not some sort of cost saving initiative. Resort is active (I'm trying to avoid the use of the word crowded) but many appear to be conventioneers.

It must REALLY be sold out! I just saw on Facebook this morning that a family that drove 10 hours to check in at CSR late last night was told that they were overbooked and they were moving them to Art of Animation. They were also told that AOA was the only resort that had an available room on WDW property. This lady was MAD!!!! I don't blame her at all!!

My daughter has had her heart set on staying at CSR for her birthday. I sure hope this doesn't happen to us!!

rinnythepooh, can you tell us what kind of breakfast items they had at the pool? So curious, I would appreciate it! :)
