14 Hours?!? Egads!! Is this experience typical at all? I was planning to use DME, not so sure now...

This is why my daughter and I have decided to retrieve our own luggage and take it on and off the bus ourselves. We are arriving at MCO at 8:30pm and will go straight to our rooms after wee arrive at CSR. I don't want my luggage held captive when I want to go to bed!

Same here. We retrieve our own luggage every trip. Nothing against DME, we just like having all our stuff when we get to our room. :thumbsup2

Yup. We learned that lesson last year when we arrived at POP around 7pm, but luggage did not show until after midnight. We will definitely retrieve our own luggage for the upcoming trip to CS since the flight gets in at 10pm and we will want to head to bed right after check in for a fresh start in the morning. :-/

Hi everyone! You have all be so helpful with all the answers and feedback! Thanks especially to Tinkerbell_325.

I'll be at Disney 22-27Dec...my first trip ever (it's only been a 30-year wait!!) and we are booked at CSR. I've been concerned about bus transportation to the parks and the recent hiccup mentioned above did not help. Because we are visiting at the highest crowd levels of the year, I wanted to get to the parks at Rope Drop if possible.... if possible....

1. Barring abnormal hiccups like the above situation, what time should my family and I get to the CSR bus stops in the morning to make it to the parks by 8:30 am? I've read that the buses take between 7 and 10 minutes to get to the various parks UPON leaving the resort....but can anybody tell me how long that bus ride may be around the resort? Like if I get assigned Casitas (Bus stop 2) how long till I get to leave the front gate of of CSR? Or if I get the Ranchos (Bus stop 3) or if I get the Cabanas (Bus stop 4)?

2. How long would it take to have breakfast at Pepper Market before getting on a bus for the park (hopefully getting there for Rope drop or soon after Rope drop thanks to Fastpass+ (between 9:30 and 10:30 am - feeling so important staying onsite. LOL!!)

3. Some mornings, we are breakfasting in our room but one of us adults will have to troop over to Pepper Market/El Centro to get our hot chocolates in our refillable mugs....errr... how long a walk is that? I've read 7 minutes to the furthest rooms, I've read 15 minutes furthest rooms.... I'm thinking of a walk, not jog...can anybody clarify?

4. You are all so very fortunate to have multiple visits to Disney and so nice to share your experiences. Thank you!!!:worship:

Just FYI... Based on your dates (and we will be there at the same time:banana:) and our experience last year... MK EMH was at 7am!! Right now the calendars are showing EMH at 8am every day of your visit. I would double check closer to the dates. Also- we were disappointed to find out that we couldn't get breakfast at the food court (we were at AoA) because it didn't open that much earlier. We had to readjust and snack our way around the World when we didn't have a breakfast ADR.
Rope drop is immensely important for Christmas week. We got soooo much done in those first two hours.

Yep! They haven't changed it to 7am yet but it could be anyday.
We pack quick breakfast foods because rope drop is THAT important Christmas week. Can't wait!

Hey all,

We just got back from 8 days at CSR and only had a few minor hiccups. Sunday AM when we went to get on a Magic Kingdom bus for a 9:40a ADR, Bus Stop 1 was slammed! We got there at 8a of course there were two ECVS who had to get on for their 8:30a ADR, we didn't push our way on to the first bus and hired a cab that dropped us off at the walkway from CR to Magic Kingdom. It cost us some more $$, but was worth it.
About midweek, a family was placed in the room next to us and we had an adjoining door. So first, we were woken up by someone playing with the door and the lock, then every morning at 6-7a the child would scream when woken up. This also happened many times throughout the day and evening. I hate adjoining doors!
We saw A LOT of diaper changes happening in the worst places! One mom plopped her baby on a table right near where a bunch of us were eating our lunch. EWWW!! The another right by a photo-op session overlooking Expedition Everest. Really? I am sure you don't smell your baby, but others don't want smell it.
Lots of rude conventioneers around and some of them were quite snippy.

It was a good trip, and nothing to complain about the staff, cleanliness or etc. Just the lack of consideration of guests is enough to be desired.

I know it's been cool out lately, how is the pool? Is it freezing?
I'm coming from further south than Disney so I am not used to very cold water.

Snowbirds down here say the Gulf is like bathwater, lol.

we check in Friday!

We never went swimming during our stay as it was too cold out but we tested the water a few times and we seemed to think it was heated?!

All WDW pools are heated. I believe to 80 F.

We go to WDW every December and have never not used the pool. :thumbsup2

We have gone to Blizzard Beach every trip as well.

Hi! Just starting my packing--we arrive this Saturday:) I can't find what kind of shampoo/conditioner is provided at CSR. One place just said "Shampoo" (not even conditioner). Is it the same H2O clear bottles with black Mickey ears that I got last year at CBR? I'm trying to decide whether or not to pack my own. Thanks for the help!!

It is h2o products! No Mickey ears though! We had grapefruit bergamot as the scent!

Ok I am hoping someone can help me with bus stops and timing to Magic Kingdom. We have an 8am breakfast reservation on our first dull day. What bus stop so I want to wait at and how early should we plan on leaving?
HUGE TIA!!!

Apologies if I missed this...does CSR accept faxed room preferences requests? If so, does anyone have a template?

Just go to the closest bus stop to your room. Be waiting an hour before your ADR.

Is milk by the gallon available at the Panchitos? If not in a gallon, what sizes are available? Any idea on the cost for said items?

TIA

Four days exactly from check in!!

They are half gallons so they fit in the room fridge.
