We have a concierge room book and now I'm wondering where it will be. I know it's not the 14th floor concierge, but I thought the other floor was 12, but now I see 10. Is this cause of the rehab or are both floors concierge? We've stayed at CR twice in the past 18 months but in regular tower rooms both times so I never even thought about where the concierge was. We're going in November if that makes any difference as to what floor we'll end up on.

The 12th floor Atrium Club opened at the beginning of August. So you will be in a rehabbed room on the 12th floor with the brand new lounge. We are staying on the Atrium Club (12th) at the end of September. Can't wait!

macrosswife, we had the same problem booking a room at the CR last night too. We have 2 kids, a 2yo and a 2 week old (who will be 3 months at the time of the trip) and they kept telling my husband that the only room available at the CR was a king bed club level room and that we couldn't get it cause we're a party of 4. We we were going to book at WL instead and when she was entering our info the CM told him "Oh wait, your daughter is 2, not 12?" He confirmed that and she said "Oh, well then you can have the king bed room then after all." Not sure why that made all the difference though. I could see if she were our only kid, then we'd be 2 people plus 1 under 3, but we're 2 under 3 so you'd think one of them would have to count towards occupancy totals.

I'd sleep on the balcony to get to go back again for that MK view!

I tried explaining to the CM that DS can sleep in a Pack & Play, and, in fact, had done just that last week at Gigi's house. I told the CM that I'd be happy to provide pictures as proof if that would help. The CM was :lmao: but wouldn't budge on giving us the king room. ;)

Edited to clarify: The CM explained that the king room can "hold" 2 adults and 1 child under 3 in a Pack & Play.

Colleen, YES, you need to request a re-furbed room. We just stayed in the South Wing and the rooms are amazing. But, when we checked in the CM asked if we wanted a refurbished or the North Wing. I had both requests on our ressie, lol. Anyway she said "Beleive me you don't want to stay in the North Wing right now!" We are DVC owners and stayed at OKW in a two bedroom (my dh's fav)after our CR stay and my ds said the CR was his favorite because the room was soooo cool!!lol

I've pulled out my guidebooks & skimmed thru the thread but, still confused as to the concierge room type (especially since they altered things a bit w/rehab??).

I'm operating under this premise:

*2 concierge levels ("light" on 12th floor & & "reg" on 14th).

*the light rooms are the same as others in tower...

Please, correct me if I'm mistaken.

Anyone know what the "official" name/classifications are on WDW site?

Are all concierge rooms MK view?

really cool ticker:thumbsup2
enjoy your trip.

it is my understanding (asking at least a million cms about it every time that I call and I'm about to call and ask again!!) that the conceirge levels are the same. I am booked in atrium club level room for my sept 2006 stay and I requested magic kingdom view...you either get bay or mk.

The question I have is do i need to request a floor also? the cm keeps telling me 10th floor atrium club level....does this mean my room is literally on the 10th floor or just the conc type??

This will be my first time too! :)

Both floors for concierge service are now FULL SERVICE (no more light for the 12th). The 12th floor is Atrium Club and has MK and Bay Lake View rooms (MK view by request only). The 14th floor has suites and 2 king rooms. Generally, you book Atrium Club on-line and call CRO for booking the 14th floor.

Does anyonw know where the king beds rooms are located on the 14th floor? I just checked our reservation and turns out we're on the 14th floor, not 12th and I know it's a king bed room so I'm wondering what our view will be.

The King Bed rooms on the 14th floor have both views, Bay and MK. Make sure to mark your request on your ressie. We have been fortunate to get MK view for the 2 2 queen bed on 14th floor both times, and the view is wonderful.

If you call they can tell you if you have a Mk or bay view, the rooms on the 14th floor are allocated when you book. I knew several months ago we had a Mk view.

Thanks. I was running out the door and couldn't remember all the exact rooms.

hi, we have booked to stay at the contemporary in dec next year, we have booked the 12th floor atrium club, could anyone please tell us how many rooms there are on this floor, we have requested a bay lake view, what are our chances of getting this view? also we have heard different replies to this question, but can anyone explain if we leave a tip in the club room, and when we go there are we expected to take our food back to our room or can you eat it there, sorry so many questions, but we have never stayed in a disney hotel before or stayed concierge, thank you for any advice susie2

You have made a great choice! The CR is my favorite resort, and especially since the recent room renovation, many people are big fans.

There are 45 rooms on the 12th floor (three less than other floors because of the Concierge Lounge). 24 of those rooms have a Bay Lake View, while 21 have an MK view. Most people request a view of MK, so you have an excellent chance of getting a lake view if that is what you have requested.

The club and concierge are not tipped positions at WDW, and most CMs will refuse a tip. Many people bring gifts for the concierge, but remember that the IPO office does at least half of the work, so if you want to tip the club concierge, don't forget her!

While you are free to take food and beverages back to your room if you wish, there are several tables set up for you to eat in the lounge.

thanks you very much, your information has been really helpful, we are really looking forward to our stay, the more we read about the hotel the more excited we get, thanks again susie
