Does Mousekeeping replenish:

Toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner & soap?

Toilet paper & tissue?

Will there be a cart in the hallway to ask Mousekeeping, if we need more?

They only do the towels etc. However you can use the housekeeping button on the phone and ask for coffee, extra blanket or pillow, toiletries.

They do not touch your beds /enter that part of your room.

You can also ask if you see somebody in the hall. It’s hit or miss , often they in a room cleaning.

I heard the walkway from the GF to MK was closed. That was about a week ago though.

Our reservation starts Sep 27th, so it's at least by then. (I hope!)

Small clarification ( and maybe this is what you meant), but it’s the pathway from Poly to GF that is closed. They’re replacing those old bricks with the names on them in that section.

Hmmm…(although I would disagree with the headline that “work has been going on for ages” - the TPV side started 4/4’ish and Lake View side 5/15’ish - that’s not very long in room renovation time).

Did they redo the bathroom sinks? Or some of them were always like that? If so, looks like much more counter space.

Wonder if they will be renovating the garden wing rooms too.

Yes, the bathrooms were completely redone. Glad the flat sinks are sinks are gone. According to Disney Parks Blog, the south garden wing will be rehabbed next.

That's great. Thanks for sharing. Next summer will be our first time at CR so can't comment on experience, but it seems like they have addressed the bathroom sink issue. And great too that it sounds like they will also be renovating the garden wing. Fingers crossed.

I love how they added a theme.

Trying not to be a Debby Downer but.....I am not a fan of these new rooms. The diagonal line motif on the wall and the curved overlay at the sliders make the room look smaller and sort of closed in. I also find the platform under the mattress to be a little odd. I foresee lots of bruises from that thing and I hope the mattress is affixed somehow or they will be sliding around.

On a positive note, they fixed the sink issue in the bathroom and added a handshower

When more pics are added it will be interesting to see if they added more drawer space.

They look like the Incredibles threw up in a TWA Hotel room. And I'm not a fan of the TWA Hotel rooms.

At least I can cross the Contemporary off my list of "want to stay there" resorts.

Noticed Disney changed the note on CR’s website today. The info about lobby work and a temporary front desk location is new.

Please pardon our pixie dust as we update our Guest rooms and the first floor Lobby at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. From July 16 through late September 2021, front desk and concierge services will be located on the second floor.

We are in BLT right now. Let me know if you have any questions. There was one hell of a rain storm last night. To say the least is was spectacular.

We did DME. There are mixed reviews about the time. Our plane arrived at about 10am. We hit the line shortly after. Over all it it took no more than 45 mins to get to BLT. I thought it was great. Just my two pennies worth....

the new rooms are a much needed update - yes. But only if you like modern motif. they are different
