Haha, I just posted the same. My husband and I kept saying "crap I hope they don't hear it" it is SO SO loud!
I will have an almost 3 year old and hopefully she sleeps through it. So hoping the days at the park wipe her out!! Any tips on where to request a room to not have it be so loud? Never stayed at BLT before so not quite sure about locations. Thanks!

Just back from our fabulous stay in a garden wing standard view. Loved loved loved the size of the room - but what is up with the sinks?! Ended up putting a towel down in the 2nd sink to get some actual counter space. We were almost as far away as you could end up (although still managed to get a partial-wall view) from the main building, but we still loved the garden wing. The proximity to the pool was fantastic and it was an easy walk out to the lobby. We've eaten at Chef Mickey's before, so this time ate at The Wave (very good). DH & DS have height issues - after looking at the location of the tower rooms, they both said they'll stay in the garden wing again or rent for BLT, but NEVER, EVER are they going to be in one of those rooms up there! :D

EWP woke me up, every night. Twice the night before the 5k when I actually managed to fall asleep early - but I loved listening to the music, even if I couldn't see it (again, partial-wall view).

After our split BC/CR stay, I'm not sure we can pick a favorite! Both had so many positives!

Hello all! I am staying garden view and garden wing in April. I have stayed at the Contemporary before but never this part of the resort. I looked on Touring Plans but I'm confused about room location. If I want a garden wing/view room closest to the main building, do I want one that has a view of the pool? If I remember correctly, there is a door exiting the lobby (kind of near the Wave) that takes you outside? I'd like to be as close to the main lobby and escalator as possible. Thank you so much in advance!

No because I have a room only reservation.
Luggage tags come when you book a package.
If you are doing DME how would they know to get your luggage without the tags? I ask because my family and I are spending a couple nights at PORFQ without a package. Then going on a cruise before finishing out at the CR. We gave our flight info and they didn't say anything about not getting us luggage tags. Do I need to call and ask? I really don't want to have to get my own luggage at the airport.

The luggage tags that @wdwnut61 mentioned are the Disney Themed luggage tags that you put your name, address, contact info, etc on. They are color matched to the Magic Bands you customized. These Disney Themed luggage tags are only given to guests who book a package.

Everyone that makes a Magical Express reservation, whether you have a room only or a package, gets the DME tags that allow the DME people to find, retrieve and deliver your luggage. These tags are all yellow and show which resort you are staying and come separate from your Magic Bands.

10 days until we are home! I know you can play wishes music on resort tv's during the show, but where else can we watch wishes outside our room with the music pipped in?

We have rented points and are staying in a grand villa lake view at BLT from July 23-28, please add us to the list! There are 10 of us staying there for my 40th birthday and my and my husband's 20th wedding anniversary. We cannot wait!

Welcome Back glad you enjoyed your stay.

I'm not sure if these are general questions, or ones that belongs here. How many hours before your flight should we plan on being picked up by DME at the CR? And on a happier note, how long does it take to get to the CR on DME? I know that they usually use one bus for all the MK resorts; is there any specific order to the resorts on that trip?

Domestic - ~ 3 hours before
International - ~ 4 hours before

Once the DME bus pulls away, 30-45 minutes depending on how many stops before CR.

I know that they usually use one bus for all the MK resorts; is there any specific order to the resorts on that trip?

I haven't been able to determine a set order yet.

Last time I used ME for the Contemporary, the stops were Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, then either Poly or Grand Flo. The return trip back to the airport was the reverse of this route.

The order of the stops vary depending on the time of day and the number of folks waiting on ME.

I always plan on 90 minutes from the plane landing to arriving at the resort. It can be a little shorter if your one of the last ones on a bus before it leaves MCO, or it can be longer if you are one of the first ones on a bus and have to wait for other guests to fill up the bus before it will leave.

In my experience, the order of drop off seems to vary from trip to trip.

Our family is very excited to be returning to WDW in November! My DH and I will be celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary with our wonderful family. Last visit we stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom unit at BLT but those rooms are not available so we are booked to stay at the Contempory tower this trip. I think it will be very cool for our grandchildren to be staying in the building that the monorail runs through!

I've only stayed in a Garden View room at CR... my reason being, I have two young kids and am afraid of the height of the balcony in the main tower. We're going back this summer. We have talked about moving to a tower room, but I'm so nervous with that dang balcony! Am I overreacting? Where are the locks on the balcony doors??

I believe there are two locks on the balcony doors in the tower building with one lock located fairly high up on the sliding door.

I looked at the posts in the beginning of the thread, and didn't find what i was searching for.
We have a late flight on our departure day. Is there somewhere we can freshen up before leaving the CR, (as we will be checked out of our room for hours)?
Thanks!

The health club has showers and towels in the locker room
