QUESTION FOR ANYONE JUST THERE: How were the lines into the park now that everyone must go through security screening?
We were just there this weekend. Not everyone has to go through - my husband was randomly selected every time, me only once. And once even the kids had to go through. But it didn't seem to impact the lines much.

Y

Also.... those posters...I LOVE THOSE!!!! Especially being I use to work at SST, and the CR is one of our fav resorts, I need to get my hands on those. Do you know if they still sell those?
I'd love to know the answer to this too!

Yes, we are soooo looking forward to it. we toured the suite when we were there last 2 summers ago and it was one of those moments where my wife and I looked at each other and said "without a doubt!" LOL And ironically, we were at a BBQ this weekend and was talking to a friend about it, so we pulled up the room floorpans and even I forgot how spacious it is. Now I'm super excited.

I looked and couldn't find them online. I only found the Attraction Calendar online. But, maybe they were never offered online? I bought mine last year on Main Street at Uptown Jewelers over in the arts and collectibles section. I believe someone reported last year they were also available at BVG at CR. They may have also been available at other resorts, perhaps in the MK area?

Thank you!! We are SO excited! Never thought we'd be able to stay here! Our dates are 10/1/2017-10/7-2017. Can't wait! Loving this thread as well! Thank you so much for putting it together!! I'm so glad I found it before we booked, we had no clue the Garden was separate, just assumed you were either in the tower or BLT. I would have been crazy disappointed if we had booked GW! I can't wait to step out of the room and see the monorail!

Thanks so much for your positive comments about the thread. I'm glad you've found it helpful and I'll log your dates, @monorailrabbit.

Quick review from our perspective:
Just got back from 4 day/3 night stay CR Tower TPV - Room 4538 9th floor center.
We loved it! The beds were perfect. Slept like a log. The view can't be beat. We splurged for room service breakfast on our first morning there and ate it out on the balcony. Loved being able to watch Wishes from the balcony with the music and narration on the TV in the room. The walk over to MK was simple and fairly short. Staff was always courteous and friendly - they even went over the top and left some treats in our room as we were celebrating our 25th anniversary there.

The only negative thing I can even think of about the resort has to do with the bus stop. It is shaded... sort of. The roof is the same opaque-ish fiberglass that they used for the awnings above the front entrance, but they're more in the sun than the front. It kind of holds in the heat a bit. Some overhead fans out there would be nice, or just a solid shading roof.

Really though, that's nothing to even get concerned about. We had a great stay, we love the contemporary and now want to stay there all the time.

Thanks for posting about your stay. It sounds like you might just be booking another stay for your 26th;)

That's interesting and thank you for posting, @Cluelyss. I had read that right after the terrorist attack at the nightclub, they were screening every single person going into the parks and that lines were unbelievable. I imagined that the 100% screening was permanent, but it seems it isn't and the park entry lines are back to "random screening" lengths.

What channel was the music on? We weren't able to find it. We didn't think of it till just before the show started, so we gave up fairly quickly.

Happy anniversary!

we are booked atrium club tpv. If we request close to lounge is that a bad idea room or view-wise? We would like to be close to elevators and lounge without sacrificing view. It seems that any of the rooms would have a great view but am I missing anything?
I have been the 2nd from the end and it is a long walk but not bad. I do prefer closer to lounge since I run back and forth often. My dd definitely prefers the room with the castle view from the bed TPV side. So request odd number room for that. It is good for both ends. I have had 3 different ones all good!

Thanks for reminding me of the odd numbered room thing! I think I may request odd numbered room, close to lounge. I'm guessing it's similar to poly Cl lounge distance? Like if you were on the far end in Hawaii? Very excited to give atrium club a try!

regarding the screenings after the Orlando attacks---

We arrived at Disney on June 14 and were in the parks all week. We didn't see them screening everyone. It was my mom, myself, 6 year old son and 7 month old daughter. I was asked to go through once but no one else was. I didn't even wait in line to do it just walked right through. Maybe they screened everyone at some point in the day or two before that?

We had been told that it was on 140 or so. Couldn't find it there so we called the front desk. It was on channel 105.

Great updated information that I will post soon to the first page:)

That must have been what happened and thank you for sharing your experience. It's good to read that park lines aren't permanently outrageous.

Any chance you could provide the product number? Can't get it clear enough when I zoom in. Going to try calling merchandising. Thank you!!!!

I did Google the number that's on the price tag, as it's the only number on the package, but I came up with nothing. I hope you have more success or that you find it's still in the parks or resorts. This is the number underneath the barcode and above the price:

00008 54874

We will be staying at the CR CL TPV room and need 2 rooms. I looked on touring plans and it says that none of the rooms are connecting. Does anyone know if that is correct? I was hoping for connecting rooms since we have 4 kids and we are bringing some of our DDs friends. Thanks!

Will report back if I can find anything.

We are booked at BLT in a 2 bedroom suite, TPV, Feb 13-15 (very short stay but the kids are small and we are doing a VIP tour as well to maximize our time)

YAY!!!!! :tigger:

Anyone know what kind of selection of magic bands they have at the resort shops? We are not telling my son we are going until the day of but I want to get him a special band but can't ask him ahead of time what he wants.

Some of the rooms are connecting. Though helpful, TP isn't always correct. An easy way to confirm this is by emailing or calling the IPO (Itinerary Planning Office) with your request. They will add it to your reservation and they would certainly be able to answer all your questions about the Atrium Club, even though they're located at the GF.

@DisneyFansInNYC, not trying to steer you away from the Atrium Club, but if you want everyone in the same "room," there are a few other alternatives at CR:

The Tower Club level (14th) has gorgeous one and two bedroom suites. Best to call reservations for Tower Club availability since most of those rooms aren't advertised online. While not on CL, BLT villas have a TPV and are HUGE. You can book a cash reservation and even apply applicable discounts. If you need CL, the Garden Wing suites have CL access, however, not with a TPV. But, the CL lounge has a TPV and balcony that you can go out on. With 4 kids and all their friends, these alternatives might work for you and might be a bit cheaper, too. More information about these alternatives is in the CL and BLT chapters of the thread. The hyperlinks are in post 1.

Sounds great and I'll log your dates:)

My husband and I booked in BLT water view for October 20 - 23. We are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary (October 19). Our plan is to do the Halloween party on the 20th then Friday and Saturday at Epcot for the Food & Wine Fest.

What fun! Make sure you have your anniversary added to your reservation and I'll add your dates to the Log-o-Rail.

I don't have my own photos to show you, but all the resorts and parks have MANY from which to choose. I'm certain your son will find something he likes and may even be a bit overwhelmed.
