Yes but only on a buoyed off private riding area approximately the size of 3 football fields, and is strictly for PWC use. The other option is to take a guide tour to Discovery Island, Magic Kingdom park and more. From frisky river otters to elusive Bald Eagles, keep your eyes peeled for a host of natural Florida wonders on this one-hour adventure.

Here are some limitations:
  • All PWC drivers must be 16 years of age and up, and will need a form of photo ID present at time of check-in
  • While up to 3 passengers may ride a single PWC at once, combined weight must not exceed 400 pounds
  • Minors under 18 years of age must have an adult present to sign waivers prior to departure
  • Any age can ride with an adult
  • PWCs are governed to 35 mph

Cool!

We were already thinking of renting a Boston Whaler Montauk, but jet skis are WAY more fun. Our kids would love it.

We are staying at BLT, and we have dinner reservations for Whispering Canyon. Is there a boat that goes to WL? I know (or it used to be the case) that the boat from WL stops at the Contemporary..I just wasn't sure about going over. Also, how far in advance should we leave our room to get over to the restaurant in time for our reservation?

Yes. Leave 30-45 min before your reservation.

You’ll want the blue flag boat.

I have a question about Hallowishes viewing. We won't be going to MNSSHP, but would like to view the fireworks. Where is the best spot at CR to see them? It would be on Labor Day. Not interested in booking Cali Grill.

Is there full poolside bar service? Like, do waiters come around and take drink orders?

There’s an observation deck on the 4th floor of CR. It’s pretty good for viewing the fireworks at MK.

"Full poolside bar service" is not something Disney does particularly well. Sometimes at CR I've seen an attendant walking around, oftentimes I have not. If they are there, it's usually just one person walking around, so it's not exactly fast.

But, the pool bar/grill is pretty much right by the pool and not often that crowded, so it's not the end of the world.

There is nothing worse than me having to get out of my lounge chair and get my own drink at the bar!:rotfl2:

Ok, thanks. The BC/YC does the poolside bar service very well, but last stay was at GF and there was NONE, which was surprising.

Has this experience replaced the arcade at the Contemporary?

Oh that is a disappointment for our family! (Not me so much, but my husband and sons for sure :D). They always play at the Contemporary arcade, we even went there when we were staying a the GF or Poly, and kept going even after they took away the tickets and redemption prizes! We have a trip to the CR coming up in June and they will be so bummed. My husband feels like Disney has it out for him - so many things that he really has liked over the years get removed (DisneyQuest, Virgin megastore, the movie memorabilia store at then Downtown Disney, arcades with tickets, now the favorite arcade, allergy kiosk at AK, etc...). If I don’t watch it between the loss of his favorites and the prices going up and up and up, I might have trouble continuing to convince him to keep coming, at least as often

Thank you! We were able to swap things around and reserve a Garden Wing room for Oct. 23-Oct. 27. Opportunely, we would have liked to have our reservation from Oct. 22-26, to allow two nights available at MK without a MNSSHP (there are parties scheduled Oct. 23, 25-27; we have tickets for Oct. 25), but now we have another full day in our schedule to enjoy at the parks and resort, at essentially the same cost and proximity to MK.

UPDATE: Our TA kept an eye on things and got DD and I moved to our requested dates of Oct. 22-26! (It's moving things just one day, but this allowed us some opportune flight times and extra time for DD to rest at home before returning to school.) We also add a little more flexibility to our schedule, as MK will be open all day on Oct. 22 without an MNSSHP scheduled. Can't wait to spend a week at the CR! ::MickeyMo

Our last stay at GF there was lots of poolside service at the unthemed pool. Someone came around to our seats every 15-20 minutes.
