AlixaLock,
Thanks for the pics. Question on the food offerings at the Atrium club. How many hot items have been offered nightly? We stayed at the Poly TPV club last year and we were offered 2 and just came back from RPC last week and it was 3 hot items per day. It was enough variety to make a meal out of it at RPC but not at the Poly. Considering a stay at the Atrium Club next year and am curious on the variety.
Any info would be great.
Thank you
Hey there! In my opinion, not enough to make a meal. Two small items plus something for kiddos. Kinda depends on what your looking for, but my guy says not enough. Tasty though and enough to tide you over for a late or light dinner!

yes, although I use the website for most of that type stuff. There is just very limited availability period. gonna be a very busy October, which makes me sad. October used to be our "happy time" to go when the girls were little cooler weather and low crowds

Hopefully you guys will still find a way to make it your "happy time" this year :-)

Does anyone know what the current toiletries in the room include? I know a few months back people were posting changes to what were traditionally there in the past.

He had a colon cancer scare earlier this year and was out of work for an entire month. He thought that he lost all of his PTO because of that and is truly rather tired of Disney (hard to imagine). He has been happy to let me and our younger daughter go alone, although he did go with us last May after the youngest graduated high school. Well now he found out that not only does he have at least a week of PTO to take before the end of the year but a week of CME as well (continuing medical education). I'm frantically trying to find a relevant WDW conference, tee hee!

Apologies for the posting delay. Had to get my DD off to college and now I'm in impending vacation panic mode. I'll be arriving one week from today at CR's Tower Club.
Tower Club has always been on my Disney bucket list and I can't believe one week from today I'll actually be checking-in! I'll be posting a LIVE TR and I'll post the link here. I think that will be much easier than trying to post to my 3 resort threads.

Hope you've recovered from DD's move to college! Always a sad (and happy) time!! LOL
SOOO excited for your Disney visit! Can't wait to hear what room you get on the 14th floor!! ENJOY!!

Looking at our countdown we're at 70 days today! Can't get here soon enough!!

 What a great surprise! I can't help but wonder if his mood towards WDW brightened after he realized he could still go with PTO. :) Pixie dust you find a week between now and the end of the year to go. Oh wait, this isn't the dvc board! Disney always has hotel space! DVC is what's cramped between now and just after NY's ::yes::.

I will post a photo to my LIVE TR probably tomorrow. But, they will be Tower Club Level toiletries which may vary somewhat from non-CL.

Just switched from the Poly to a theme park view @ the Contemporary. Looking forward to my first stay there!

Congratulations on booking your first CR stay and welcome to the thread!

I'm sorry you had to go through that kind of a health scare. I hope you find a good excuse to book a trip.

Thank you, @MrsBlovesDisney. I was a wreck the first few days, but now that DD is settled and happy, so is mom. Out with sad, in with the glad! I can't believe tomorrow is check-in day! I'm very excited and so curious about how I'll feel about the 14th floor. I know I'm going to miss being able to look down at the Concourse and monorail when I walk out my door.

Hi, New member here. Going to Disney World 11/7 - 11/10, just a short trip to surprise my stepson and his wife and Grandson. They asked us to go, but we declined due to our work schedules. We worked it out so we will arrive 2 days after they do, and we are trying to keep it secret until we arrive. I originally booked POFQ, but recently switched to CR. I'm really excited about staying here. I'm keeping this change from my husband until we arrive :)

I am SO ready to go. This will be my first Christmas Party, and I am so ready to experience that :santa:

Looking forward to learning all that I can to prepare. I have stayed at CBR for both of my previous trips :flower1:

Happy to meet all of you!

Donna

Welcome! That sounds like a great trip. That is great if you can surprise them. Enjoy the CR. We just left there and loved the convenience to MK. We walked there each time - it is so easy. We also found a new favorite restaurant - The Wave - in the lobby. It was delicious and an easy to get reservation. We ate there twice on our trip. Enjoy!

Hello everyone! I've been making my way through this fantastic thread with great interest. We have 16 nights booked at the Contemporary August 2017, we are all very excited. We could only manage to get a standard garden wing...it was that or £2000 more for a Theme Park View (wowsers). Time will tell whether we'll make do or maybe enquire about availability for a better view later on. The kids 12 & 15 will enjoy being close to the pool so it's all good but some of those views though...

Garden Wing rooms are excellent. Good value and you are right there. You can still see the MK fireworks from various locations at the resort.

Hey guys. Coming up on our first stay at BLT. We're traveling with our two young children ( 2 year old & 7 month old). So excited to be walking distance to MK! We have a lake view studio booked. What requests do you recommend for our room? I was thinking of asking to be the same floor as the sky bridge? Is that recommended? Just wondering what you would request & why? Thanks!

DH and I also get a lake view 1BD and ask for an even number north tower in hopes of getting a partial view of MK and the fireworks at night. Some don't like that view since you can get a view of the tennis courts and parking lot more than a full lake view but since we are generally back at the room at night we love seeing the fireworks over MK from our room. Once we had an odd number, inner room, lake view and I always felt other people were looking into the room since there is the curve of the building. I also think the even number outside rooms are a tad bigger.

Hope this helps !

I have a strange question which I hope someone will be able to help me out here. I'm staying at CR from Dec6-12 and am from Canada so I can pick up my magic bands at the resort. We are thinking about staying at the Swan three nights prior. My question is if we can pic up our magic bands from CR a few days early??

I've been searching thru the board for answer to this, but it's been a bit overwhelming so I'm giving up and throwing myself on your mercy:

I'd like to rent a two-bedroom villa in Bay Lake Tower for Oct. 2017 for my kid's 5th birthday. We need an extra bedroom because my 77-year-old mom will also be coming with us and she wants her own room. We'd like to have some kind of dinette so we can eat breakfast together in our room. Is it possible to rent a 2-bedroom via Disney or do you have to do it by renting some person's DVC points? I asked a travel agent and she told me that those rooms can't be booked until 11 months out and after reading some posts here, I'm wondering if I need to start researching the DVC-point rental option. I was looking at the option of just getting two rooms but it seemed like the 2-bedroom option might be cheaper (even at the rack rate).

Thanks in advance for your kind help! (And please excuse me if this has been asked a billion times before.)

Yes, you can rent these directly from Disney for cash instead of "renting points" from a member. However, members own the majority of the units at BLT and DVC only owns a small portion of the units, about 3% of the units. Your travel agent was pretty much correct about not being able to book these until at least 11 months out. Members have the first opportunity to book these (owners at BLT book from seven to eleven months out - no other DVC owners can book these until seven months out). However, if a member turns over their points to DVC to book a non-DVC Disney Collection vacation, like a Disney hotel or DCL or ABD, DVC will turn the equivalent units over to Disney Reservation Center (sometimes still referred to as CRO - Central Reservations Office) to sell to pay for the member's trip. You'll probably pay more by booking directly through Disney than you might by booking with a member or a broker who pairs someone wanting to rent a DVC reservation with a member who has a reservation to rent out (known as renting points). BLT can be hard to get from a broker at more than seven months out (not always impossible, just a bit harder) because a lot of BLT owners might not be turning their points over for renting. Lakeview two bedroom villas will probably be easier to book than a theme park view or a standard view.

October is a really popular time for DVC members to go to WDW because of the Halloween parties and Food & Wine Festival.

You can check out the villa layouts at the DVC member site by clicking on Find Destinations and then Bay Lake Tower. https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/

Start checking the DRC site about 11 months out to see if you can find anything available for cash. Or start looking at brokers or individual members (read the guidance about renting points on the DVC Boards Rent/Trade Board before you make a deal with an individual - there have been a few scams, but just a few).
