Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

How did she even know about it, lol? We’ve been staying at YC since the late 90s, I never heard of it until we stayed there.
It is the big Kahuna at the YC. The Captains Deck Suite, the premier 2,374 sq. ft. suite on the first floor, offering maximum space, a dining room for 12, an oversized brick garden patio, and private patios for each bedroom. I just don't care for the location on the 1st floor, and it not on the Crescent Bay side.

I would vote for the Steeplechase Presidential Suite at the BWI since it has a massive deck area overlooking Crescent Bay, and it is just a couple of door from the Inn Keeper's Club lounge on the 4th floor.

2 ways, social media and walking the 1st floor of YC and seeing the double doors. At Disney , double doors have the cool rooms. 😂

I booked 3 nights in AKL club room for a no parks trip and now I'm second guessing myself and could use some advice.

Only the DVC rooms are getting refurbished and not the regular hotel rooms so the club rooms won't be affected, right?

I'm a mosquito magnet and our trip is in August. I know no one can tell me if I'm going to be eaten alive or not but I'm wondering how prudent it is to stay in a savannah view room when there's a chance I may not be able to use the balcony.

I looked at the food offerings and it seems fine for 3 days. Club is currently pricing at $550/night and regular resort view is $310/night. For that difference, we could be on DDP so then I'm also questioning the value of the club food too...

...which led me down the rabbit hole of pricing 3 nights at pop with DDP and 1 day ticket to Epcot and LL being nearly the same cost. Which is the exact opposite of a relaxing no parks trip, ha.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Disney does a great job with mosquitoes. Im not saying theres zero chance of getting bitten but its fairly low. I personally wouldnt let that sway me. Plus you are on the 4th floor so generally higher then most flying insects.

To answer your room question, thats a bit harder. As you stated these are complete opposite trips. Which would you rather have? Not doing anything. No planning, figuring out meal times, constantly fighting crowds, etc. But be more limited in your food choices? Or eat what you want, where you want but do more planning and have a more rigid stay (scheduling LL, fighting crowds at counter service and scheduling dining)? Only you can answer that. I dont think you will regret either. I've done both types of trips several times and enjoyed them both.
