Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

No laughing now pleaee. LOL! This trip is a dream trip of mine for my 60th.

8/22 thru 8/27 poly waterview club level
8/27 thru 9/2 BWI reg club with my nephew and girlfriend in another club level room
9/2 to 9/6 Rivera
9/6 to 9/22 Yacht waterview club level.

Yep that many days. My 83 young at heart mom will be with me the entire time. I have been planning this trip for 5 years.
Honey, you are in the wrong place thinking anyone would laugh at you for a long trip around here! You’re more likely to induce extreme envy!!

Sounds fab!

Happy Birthday! Hope you enjoy your trip!!! 🥂

OMG, girl, go solo! Nothing at all beats a solo CL stay, although it is clearly kind of a waste of money, even I can't drink that much wine...

For my arrival night next month, I would have to shift a BB rate currently set for April 2026 (I'd just rebook another BB for spring 2026 next month - it's a BWI garden suite with DH - and my DH ALSO is not a fan and got very concerned that any visit might interrupt his monthly guys' shooting range day, so not like he'd care, I deeply suspect that will wind up as a solo trip anyways). Essentially the same rate for GF CL with the BB and CR CL (Atrium) AP rate. Actually, $7 less at GF. I would probably be cheap and do CR if it was available, but it ain't ;). And that way, I won't have to pull ANYTHING out of Disney savings right now ;). But now I'm all, what if there's a hurricane? What if my flight gets cancelled? What if what if what if? I just need to stop thinking. I want multiple opportunities to see that freaking parade in case there IS inclement weather.
I think all your "what ifs" is my reason for not traveling solo. I sometimes get in my own head so I'm kind of afraid to travel solo. I'm staying the night solo when we drop my 18yo at college next month (my dog's diabetic so hubby has to get home to give insulin). That might be a good test on how I do in a hotel solo. My husband wouldn't care at all if I went away, he has his multiple golf trips.

Ain't that the truth lol. I would love a trip like that.

I am planning a quick one or two night trip this fall with a friend. Can't go longer since she is a care taker for a disabled family member. That won't be CL unless I snag a good deal because she doesn't see any value in it. 😬

OT for this thread, but... A single night is an excellent intro - 7 years ago, I never imagined I would go to WDW solo, like ever. But I flew out the night before the Halloween party back in 2019, I think it was, to meet my sisters and their kiddos for the party - I fly from SoCal so was afraid I would be delayed en route, and I didn't want to miss the time with my niece and nephews. I put on my big girl britches and went to Epcot for a few hours on the morning of the party, before they arrived - super, super nervous. But I quickly realized no one cared, other people were also alone, and that rolling solo was incredibly peaceful. I don't think twice now. I have only done one full solo trip, but I always, always add solo days onto trips with others. There is a Facebook group called Disney World Solo Travelers, and there is a lot of encouragement there - and it is bolstering to see how many people go solo. :)

DH & I will be staying BWI cl 9/1-9/6. Maybe we will run into each other. ☺

In fact, just typing this - I have an August stay at CR CLwith my sister, and I am arriving on a red-eye a full/day and night early. I am currently booked at BWI non-CL for arrival day, but I have been hemming and hawing over doing a CL room since I will be exhausted and would get a full arrival day and that night out of it. I think I might switch to GF CL…

ETA- now here I am hemming and hawing about the price difference 😂! Geez. Not like I spend money on anything but travel, and I have a dedicated Disney savings account, for goodness’ sakes, but I get so miserly when it comes time to move money out of it!!! Gah!!!
@bethclayton this set off a whole chain reaction! I just moved my sister and I from 3 nights in a CR CL 1-bedroom suite to 2 nights (she can't get there the first night anymore) in a GF outer building 1-bedroom TPV suite...we may need an umbrella and a large wine thermos! And now my solo night at BW non-CL has been changed to 2 nights in a resort view CL at GF. Overall, it was cheaper than my original reservations, so no need to draw from my dedicated Disney savings!!!! #winning

This CM is seriously a superstar, too.

@trishadono, We're finally staying in this suite type you raved about!! We're super excited!

@GADisneyDad14 @jods @trishadono @2vets you have all given me a lot to think about! Such great perspectives. I am super obsessed with the GF lounge, specifically. We spend an embarrassing amount of time there. While we have not been to BWI, we did do BC CL and the lounge was, to me, awful. But I was hoping to try some place new and love the idea of being near Epcot and HS since we rarely go there anymore. Decisions, decisions!

@Sajchinook2015 holy moley, that is probably the best trip I have ever heard of in my life! So happy for you! I hope you will share it with us as time allows!

@2vets I can’t wait to hear what you think of your “new” rooms! Sounds like the perfect plans! I have never been one to splurge on a view but we recently had one night in a TPV GF CL room and I could barely leave the balcony the entire 24 hours. But that CL champagne didn’t walk itself to my room so I had to get out once in a while. :P

The difference in price between resort and tpv was $10/night with the bounceback!! Of course, I had to buy an extra poncho and bigger Corkcicle so I could bring wine to the room. But the main building suites were $200 more per night and only have 11/2 baths, so….

The lounge at BWI is not large, but I like it better than BC, for sure. I would find a youtube video, though. It does not compare with GF in terms of space.

FWIW, I couldn’t wait to stay at the BC and then didn’t like it. I actually wanted to change resorts but my husband hates split stays and my kids like the pool. It is their least favorite hotel too. I don't think you will get the experience you have at GF at the BWI, and the BWI is my 1st choice these days. The lounge isn't large however the staff is phenomenal. It is very laid back and I like the vibe of the actual boardwalk. I enjoy having a drink in the lobby as well but it's not as pretty as the GF. I find when I love something it is hard to change and give something else a fair chance. I will say, I loved every CM at the boardwalk lounge. Mimosas are only out on Sundays but you can request them.other days. I couldn't see sitting and spending hours in the lounge at BWI though I have been known to sit of on the benches on the actual boardwalk just people watching. My son calls the BWI "chill", so give it a try unless you will be wishing you were at GF the entire time.

I agree 10000% on the CMs at BWI lounge!! I would absolutely return for that reason alone. They had bubbly out every morning when I was there in May !

Oh dear me. I just realized my end for YC is wrong should be 9/6 thru 9/12. It will not let me edit it. Sorry about that folks.

Ah man, how disappointing, just 3 weeks instead of a month? :lmao: Just kidding!! Still sounds like an amazing trip & we’re still jealous. And who knows, maybe putting it out into the universe will make it happen. :goodvibes

Sure wish budget was there. And the vacation days from work. Been with the same company for 37 years. So i get 38 days. A whole month would only take up 20 of those days. But i like to take long weekends in the summer and enjoy the sunshine. Living in Minnesota is not fun in the winter.
