Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

How do you use the CL benefits to the max?
I'm not sure we use it to the max, but we do not book any breakfast ADRs and utilize the CL BF each day. It has enough variety for our group. We might hit up snacks if we are around but don't plan on it. We do the evening apps sometimes but will have a few dinners booked so don't go every night. We may or may not do desserts but I never find CL desserts all that good plus I like my daily dose of Dole Whip! With how we do it, we feel we get good use of CL. I won't say money's worth bc it's Disney lol but we feel good about what we get out of it.

Ok so my son picked universal and a night at Disney after hours at HS. I went to start booking and I had complete sticker shock lol. I bought the after hours tickets and gave up lol. All I have to say is wow, prices went up! We're going next month si not much planning time. Was going to stay 2 nights at Disney then move to universal. Over 1000 for a CL portofino room. 250 pp for 1 day epic express passes 😳 I was even surprised at Disney prices. WL and gran destino club was reasonable. My son wants boardwalk area so my husband said it's his trip. Holy moly prices went up lol. The bwi cl was just about 900. Non club was 6, same price as a 1 bedroom. I was so overwhelmed I didn't book anything lol. Even flights are throwing me off, we usually fly newark. Jetblue hasn't had cancelations all week but newark is stoll so iffy. That leaves jfk which I hate. Has anyone flown newark lately? Can someone just take my credit card and plan and book everything for me please🤣 ok just had to vent. My theme park hating husband doesn't want to listen to anything about this trip lol.
Oh my I feel for you! Yep prices are insane. I do JB from Syracuse so watch the nightmare that is EWR currently. I don’t know if I would risk it right now. You could check to see if your flight is one that is going consistently? Maybe you’ll get lucky.

I can't seem to pull the trigger on air. I hate jfk but newark is a hot mess. I looked up the past week and jetblue didn't have any cancelations. They also stopped the free flight change option which could ne a goodsign. My husband wants to fly out of AC and spend a night at the casino on the way home😆 we did that when we flew to myrtle beach but my youngest will be bored out of his mind. That airport is a dream. So small and no lines. I need to decide soon though.

We live in Northern NJ not too far from Newark Airport. We used Frontier out of Trenton and it was great. Very small airport but better than the Newark insanity and MUCH cheaper.

Asking for a friend.. how many different CL stays in one trip is too much? If doing a split stay and trying several what’s the ideal amount of time at each? Currently doing 7 nights at BWI/4 nights GF/1 night YC. What would you change? Better to do at least 2 nights at YC to make it worthwhile/less hectic?

Also I keep going back and forth on the Victorian suite. I can save $1400 just doing a TPV CL room and my 2 tweens each get their own bed. Is the Victorian suite really worth it??

Appreciate your input!

My personal - and probably unpopular - opinion is that no room at Disney has ever really wowed me to the point that the cost makes sense when considering only the room. For me, a bed for everyone and a TPV is going to have a lot more value than the minor plus-ups of the suite. There are no extra amenities or services between the two rooms. And it sounds like a regular room actually works better for your group. I would totally take the savings and apply it to the premiere pass.

Thank you so much for this perspective!!!

The 1 night is too much for me. I don't like being homeless. Unless you have a reason to have it be the last night, I would do it after BWI. You could walk yourself over with your luggage. I would definitely want 2 nights there if you really want 3 different hotels. You may not have a room until 3 and then check out is 11. I know you will have the lounges but it's a lot of moving imo. I would also skip on the suite if the regular room works better bed wise.

With 2 tweens the TPV is better. Yep their own bed and a view to wow. The VS is huge but you will be in the lounge anyways. Make sure they explore all 3 floors of lounge! The 5th floor is nice! The views are great!

They will enjoy exploring more than sitting in a room IMO. Also not sure if you know, mobile order from gaspies and bring food up to the lounge. Kids are kids they might want something not provided. So easy to do. When says “ready” just pop down the elevator to grab.

*1 night cl is hard. By the time you check in and out by 11 you barely get to enjoy the room. 2 or more is better.

Thank you!!! I really wish that beautiful suite had 2Q plus the sleeper and I’d do it in a heartbeat! Still on the fence though as the videos are lovely and I’m sure the views are even better in person!

Thinking now to add an extra night to YC, but that shortens my GF stay…. Hopefully I’ll figure this out soon!

And thanks for the tip about mobile order! I was thinking to do room service but that sounds much better especially with DDP

Not sure if it's been posted yet, but on Sundays at WL they're offering mimosa flights. According to a CM this is a pilot program. Have six to choose from and you can select four.
Did you give it a try today since it is Sunday? It looks and sounds like a good idea for a Pilot.

Sorry slightly OT but it's CL related. Anyone have preference over Club M marriott or Fairmont Gold? We're going to Montreal, I've changed hotels like 10 times and now I've decided to rearrange our while trip.

You are welcome.

I’ve done both many times. Fairmont gold is always superior to the Marriott M Lounge/Bonvoy

Fairmont Gold!! No comparison.
