Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I have found myself with an upcoming stay in a WL CL Deluxe room. How bad is the walk to the CL? I see these rooms are on floors 1-5 according to the Disney website at the end of the hotel by the lake/boats. I have a vague memory of being in a normal room in this wing a few years back and that elevator bank not going up to the 7th floor? Are they loud due to the boat horns?

For us not that far. You are just walking from the end of the wing to the main part of the lodge. Roughly from the Pool area to the main portion of the lodge.

No the main elevators go to the 7th floor from the main section of the lodge near the west wall where the bubbling brook begins. The elevator near Roaring Fork on the 1st floor also goes all the way to the 7th floor.

Are they loud due to the boat horns?
You may hear them if you normally live in a quite suburban area they will be more apparent.

We really like the Deluxe rooms. 2 TVs and there are doors to the bedroom that close for additional privacy. They also have 2 balconies, a small standing one and a larger balcony with 2 chairs. You can also request the CL concierge fill your beverage cooler with soft drinks, juices, and Milk since it is not on the CL floor.

What do you want for your side view to be the grounds or the pool area? The x000 rooms are the grounds and the x003 rooms overlook the pool area.

Thanks for the rundown! Feeling better about this. I feel like the space is gonna be nice.

I think we’re good with either view so I’m gonna let the chips fall as they may there. Nice that they stock the fridge!

We've stayed in one of these rooms and it is a bit of a walk to get to the club lounge. The elevator near Roaring Fork will take you to the 7th floor. It is the staircase next to the deluxe rooms that doesn't go to the 7th floor.

It takes a few minutes to get to the lounge since you either have to take the elevator or climb the stairs. We found that it wasn't convenient to just "run" to the lounge to grab something. We mostly stopped there in transit - either on our way to or coming back from a park. It is very convenient if you want to take the boat, as long as you don't mind taking the staircase.

The boat horns are noisy and start going off early, like 7:30. But you can look out the window and see if a boat is at the dock, which could be helpful. The deluxe rooms themselves are nice, though. :)

Any idea why June 19-26 is blocked out? Is that expected to be a busy week in June?

Yes June 19-26 (time period around that weekend, specific dates vary) is historically a busy week. Just like May 23-26, , July 4-7 and Aug. 30 – Sept. 1.

Dave
Ah ok, thank you. These are roughly our trip dates but we typically come near or around the same time.

You need a mb to get to 7th so maybe you forgot that part?

I have had 1st floor deluxe twice. We didn’t mind when we could watch the boat arrive and pop right out for it.

To the lounge all deluxe the same distance, You walk to elevator the take up to 7. Only difference is how long you are on the elevator.

When coming in the lobby if you take the elevator on the right you can go to 7 and there is a locked gate with a mb reader alone the hallway. . We used this when returning from a park via bus.

I really like the WL deluxe. Sometimes you just want a little more space.

I don’t totally love the trek to the lounge, but it’s not ‘that’ bad, IMHO. Just that on the margins I’d prefer locations where I can hop in/out of the lounge quickly over the course of a stay vs the WL Deluxe setup. Not a deal killer though.

Enjoy your stay!

GM, all - starting my last day of a 4-night stay at CR Atrium Club. I have lots of pics to post, will do later today/tomorrow, but I wanted to take a quick sec and say that there were lots of new offerings, a few of which were truly fantastic. GF RPC is still my favorite lounge in terms of space, but the food at CR has been pretty great.

Glad you had a good trip. 😃

It has been a few years since I have done a CL stay. Do you still have access to the lounge on departure day until 10pm or does access stop in the morning?

You have access until the lounge closes on your departure day.

How’s the construction at the Grand Floridian and Animal Kingdom Lodge? I feel like all the hotels are having construction lol. Have another trip planned in a few months currently booked at Grand Floridian, but feel like if the lobby finally starts getting worked on that’ll be annoying. Thought about switching to Animal Kingdom in their club. I know the DVC rooms are due for renovation, but is anything happening at Jambo?

While I’m checking on all the construction how’s the contemporary’s roof crane doing? lol

Unfortunately, there have been no announcements as to when the lobby work will begin at the GF. If you follow along on the GF Thread, I’ll be sure to update it with any news!

The crane’s a little annoying, tbh. But not the end of the world (heh heh), especially if you’re a frequent-y visitor. I could easily look past it. If you were paying for TPV on a lower floor, though, it might be a bummer.
