Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

My bounceback rate and availability is better for February too, and I just booked it this morning after seeing what was available with the new discounts. Hoping the lack of a good discount for February doesn’t mean the parks are going to be packed…
The CL discounts (other than BB) have been pretty abysmal! I didn't dig far, but I don't se anything better for GF for my dates than 25% for non-CL. From here on out, I am going to keep a BB stay in my back pocket - just snag something after my stay, even if it isn't exactly what I want or just a placeholder, and adjust as plans develop.

Looking for thoughts here... And because I'm in the CL thread, I get it that I am basically going to get some encouragement ;).

MVMCP trip in mid-Nov has gone from being me staying at GF RPC with my sister and then my mom to my mom's plans changing, and me now doing 2 nights solo followed by 2 nights with my sister/niece. Nothing is discounted on weekends in Nov, period, but this is the only time my niece can go, so we're stuck with it. After my mom bailed, we downgraded to non-CL because the diff in my total price was obscene, and I just couldn't take it. I currently have GF TPV non-CL for all 4 nights.

As any good Dis-er does, I was dreaming about CL and looking at the difference in cost between my 2 weekend nights between TPV non-CL and resort view CL, and it's not nearly as stupid as I was expecting, a few hundred per night - the total is less than adding another whole midweek night at the discounted rate. Changing to CL midweek, the cost difference is stark, though, because of the difference in discounts, with CL being about double the rate. I will have my sister and niece there to help justify the cost. And hey, there is a high demand for wine (by me) when doing the parks with them and watching my niece play my sister like a cello (😄 the manipulation is something else)... So... I can do 2 nights non-CL and then move over to CL for 2 nights, with the big disadvantage being that I have to change rooms in the middle of my trip, and I'm lazy.

Taking your votes now.... C'mon, enablers, help a girl out....

Only one correct answer, do it. Lol. You will have the lounge to relax in while you switch rooms. It will also be nice to have somewhere to go to escape family🤣

I am always willing to push someone into cl however….. what if you did non cl and ordered a bottle of wine and dinner from room service? I really miss RS at other resorts!

Another option is the bar areas at Narcoosees and Citricos. It is nice to order what you want vs being served what they want you to have. I did enjoy the lounge and ambiance of RPC last week but the food seems to continue to deteriorate. Breakfast is good but compared to prior to remodel midday and evening is not as plentiful.

Soup? Midday cold cuts n breads? Several hot appetizers? Sorry a mini hotdog ? I paid $$$$ for a hot dog?

Ugh for food go back to CR CL……

Some of my trios I have done splits and some I stay put. Moving is much easier when at the same resort at least.

*****It’s a short trip so if you don’t want to move and want to have a nice RPC stay don’t ask us, just do it lol.

I would do the CL the first two nights since you would still be able to go to the lounge the third night anyway. On the 4th night you can go out for a nice farewell dinner somewhere.

Club level is nice but really only worth the extra cost if you have the time to really enjoy it, imo. And that includes evening appetizers, drinks and desserts. If you plan to spend a lot of time at the parks, if you plan to have dinner at a restaurant, and if you don't care about some of the other perks, I would stick with a non-cl room for the entire trip. It will be really nice to already have the room available when your sister and niece show up. :)

Uh oh. I haven’t done RPC since last Xmas. I don’t mind the kids’ stuff at all but enjoyed having a big app selection otherwise - though you’re right, that last CR CL visit turned my head. And you can pour your own wine!! I prefer GF at this time of year and still prefer the space in that lounge, though. Having that huge space and the ability to escape the chaos is a large part of why I book RPC. With CR, unless Tower is available/guaranteed, the lounge is annoyingly small and forces you back to your room a lot, especially on weekends.

@Eastern - Can’t do CL the first 2 nights, I arrive Wed, the discounted non-CL rates mid week are hugely different, and it’s just me until Friday. I can’t justify it without all of us there.

@Wood Nymph - we will def do apps and desserts Sat night, and apps Fri night before the party. We rope drop but do the parks in bursts with midday/afternoon returns to the resort. And my flight is late on Sunday, so the lounge is a great place to hang until it’s time to leave.

Not quite as enabling as I was expecting! But I truly appreciate everyone’s input. I’ll wait and decide in a few weeks……

👍🏻 We were only there for 2 days instead of the planned 4 & husband was sick by the 2nd day. So I didn’t get to see much of the offerings. But I was shocked when I saw the “short ribs” the first night. They were serve yourself were in a larger pan… about 1” squares that looked dried out & unappealing. They may have tasted fine, but the look discouraged me from even trying it. We had come from YC CL, where the short ribs were individually plated with mashed potatoes on the spoon type plates. Probably the same sized portion, but just looked so much better.

Surveying my sister now… If it were just me, I’d use the heck out of CL, but these are not rave reviews. Honestly, the rates are so astronomical now that I think many of us have just limited out a bit.

I just don't understand how, at the astronomical prices they are charging for CL nowadays, they cannot serve nicer food.

And non discounted, for us. I just checked, CR CL is less than 100 more a night than my GF room for the weekend. I am going to suggest we do that if my sister thinks we will make good use of CL. It was really good in Aug.

ETA - my sister checked the rates for CR, and (since she hates garden wing), they are essentially the same as GF. She said, she refuses to pay that much for CR 🤣!! So now I'm back to square 1. I may just say *&%# it and go for it, and plan on hitting the lounge HARD and drinking all their wine. At least if GF isn't as good as it was last Dec, I can change my February BB stay to something else.

We will be staying CL at WL in January. We are planning to request a courtyard view room. Although waking up to see the castle would be lovely, I really love the courtyard at WL. My husband also would like to watch the Electrical Light Water Pageant from our balcony (we know we will have to stand). Anyone have a room recommendation?

Second question, my son has a peanut allergy. It appears WL CL staff reach out before the stay and one of the questions is about food allergies. I was just wondering if anyone has experience with WL CL and food allergies? I would expect that it wouldn't be too much of an issue based on how Disney handles food allergies (one of the reasons we like Disney), but just wondering if anyone else has experience with it.
Just so you know, there might be 1 or 2 rooms that get a tiny view of the castle from WL CL and even then it's very far, so you aren't missing much.

We were just at WL CL in Aug. Overall, we had a lovely stay, i do nor regret staying one bit so i want to make that clear.

HOWEVER, my major gripe about it was about the pre-arrival stuff. I got an email about a week out, filled it out, food allergies, time of arrival, special celebration, etc. Then we get a phone call 48hrs before check in, they asked my DH the same exact questions, um, okay, maybe they're just clarifying. We check in and it's obvious they did nothing with that info. I had to ask everyday, as well as others, about allergy foods. No one greeted us in the lobby and it took forever to get someone to come down and get us. She apologized for taking so long saying, we don't get early arrivals that often. I understand, that is fine, but I told you when I would be arriving, twice.

Moral of the story, yes they will reach out, let them know your concerns but do not expect any special accommodations
You will most likely have to remind them each day of your allergy. This is what I did and others that I saw in the lounge.

Like I said, overall we were happy with our stay. Anytime we asked the staff for things, we got them right away and everyone was friendly. The food and variety of offerings were great. Maybe we just hit an off couple of days. Please report back on how your stay went.

Fall discounts not being great bc Saturdays are rack rate and CL discounts + crazy prices making it hard to justify…. I have a regular LV CR with an “meh” discount and a YC RV CL for $500 more. I prefer the CR location, but CL is always nice. It wasn’t wowed by the food at YC CL last time (even though staff was great). Recent YC CL experience/advice?

I think there are more than 1 or 2 rooms with a view of the castle. And honestly it’s a pretty nice fireworks view, in my opinion.

I was there in May, though others have visited more recently. I looked, but I didn't take photos - I recall it being very good, my biggest beef with YC CL is the same as with many others - the lounge space can just get packed and hectic. My bigger beef is with the YC rooms in general, which are starting to look a bit dated. My Aug MNSSHP trip was a night at YC non-CL followed by 3 at CR CL, and I remember the CR room feeling much bigger and fresher, bathroom especially.

That said, I am in the same situation for Nov, considering splitting a stay to CL over a weekend. Ironically, it makes the jump to CL seem less egregious when the freaking rack rates for regular rooms are so ridiculous. Holidays and party season in general are when I think CL has the most value, it just gives you an extra space and some extra resources/CMs when things are hectic everywhere else. Not sure this is helpful, but know that we're in the same obscenely expensive boat!

The good news is that the YC Regatta Club is also due for a refresh that has been delayed and should be part of the January through May 2025 guest room updates.

Your wish is Disney's future 2025 plan.

From what I have seen when I did my research at YCCL a few months ago, there were no CL rooms available at YC in Jan to Feb 16th. Someone did tell me they have reservations at CL during that period. I checked again and did not see any availability so I am hoping that’s the period they are doing the rehab. I have late March reservations for CL YC. Who knows?

I wonder if I should wait for the new-ish rooms and possible refurb to the lounge. My last trip last December, my room was very clean and tidy, but the furniture was not in good shape—all the wood was really scratch, nicked and banged up. I agree about the CR feeling bigger, brighter and fresher. The difference must’ve been really noticeable in a split stay.

The lack of Friday and Saturday discounts in the fall is really hurting. I don’t want to pay extra for CL bc the prices are ridiculous, but the regular rooms aren’t that much less. 😔
