Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Yes that entire block of even numbered rooms (5164 - 5240) are Standard View CL as they overlook the front of the resort areas.

Dave
Oh dear! How many of them are connecting rooms? Right now that is our only request and they said it was guaranteed… am I guaranteed a stellar view?? 🤣

If you look at Touring Plans (which people say is not often updated) it looks like only the std view rooms are connecting. Today I have learned that a lot of the YC CL rooms don't have the best view! Maybe this is why it wasn't that popular in the past. The food is good though.

Connecting/not connecting is something that they usually have right. As long as Disney told them right to start
Physical details like that don’t typically change in a resort. That takes construction.
Details like bed type do change since they can easily move a bed around and not send touring plans that change

Its nice to see some better fruit options at the BWI and YC based on all these recent pics. Fruit choices were pretty slim at Poly this summer so I hope to see more that some sad strawberries and wrapped up yucky apples 😂

For a long time I have come to the disboards club level thread to get updates on what is going on, hear how much others love club level as well as to just brighten my day reading about Disney (also love the news thread mrsap). This is my first time posting ever (so forgive me if I do it incorrectly lol). For years my family and I have gone to the Sugar Loaf Grand Floridian. Sad that it's gone but have now come to love RPC. Was there January this year and mid Aug. My daughter is starting High School this year so taking her out of school is now no longer an option. I already have booked our August trip for the first week RPC hopefully reopens in '23 but I know we need to get a Disney fix before that so we just booked a quick trip for 4 days Memorial Day Weekend at the Poly Club level. I have 2 questions. I am concerned it will be a let down from the Grand and thought I could get some feedback from people who have stayed at both. Also when we were at RPC a couple of weeks ago. A couple of the CM's said they thought they might reopen Sugar Loaf for club level while the remodel is happening in the main building. Has anyone else heard that rumor? I feel like it may just be wishful thinking but one CM told me to keep checking the website.
My guess they would need to reopen sugarloaf for remodel. Now if they keep it open? That’s anyone’s guess.

Those 2 are my favs. I like gf for a relaxed feel. I loved the scones midday and the band but those are now gone.

Poly , what I like is you are steps, steps, from both pools and the beach. The building is not too big and easy to get to the lounge. Having a bathroom, in the lounge(3rd floor) is super helpful arrival and departure days,

2 of my fav pools are GF’s Courtyard and Poly’s Oasis. They are not full of kids nor have games and loud music. Sometimes you want to relax. If you have kids at least both resorts have a great busy pool option!

Poly at night with tiki lights lit and Hawaiian music playing? Beautiful! Gf has lovely grassy grounds . I enjoy BOTH.

I prefer the flavors of polys food. I can eat teriyaki anything lol. I like the outdoor bar areas at Poly too.

Watching ewp and fireworks are better from Poly IMO.

For me it’s like asking who do I love more ?dd or Ds? Poly or GF?

Totally different experiences but both are wonderful.

We stayed at GDT club level over the weekend, and it was fantastic. We had a room facing HS (TOT & BATUU), right next to the lounge. The only CL I can compare to is YC but for us, this was much better! The lounge was gorgeous and very spacious, and the CMs were so kind and accommodating. One day we were going to HS, and before leaving we were chatting about cats/pets with with CM who then asked what are our favorite rides are and gave us a lightening lane to Millenium Falcon and Slinky Dog! I preferred the lounge setup because they had individual beverages available (water, iced tea, milk—beer and wine self serve in the evening). They had some really fun board games as well which we enjoyed. Would definitely recommend.

Just as were we’re leaving YC to head into Epcot for some LL rides & dinner, huge dark clouds rolled in & started thundering & lightening. We turned right into BC & came back to the room. We already decided we’re not doing the drenching downpours if we can help it. And my DH has a pretty good lightening phobia. So we had apps in the lounge & just hanging out watching the lightening show on the balcony. No rain yet but it’s been thundering & lightening for about 90 minutes already.

Pool, friendship boats & skyliner have been closed since the lightening started at 6.

Also, we saw 2 women with 2 medium/ large sized dogs waiting to get on the elevator leaving the 5th floor. (They were together, so 1 party). There was another couple also on the elevator so the ladies waited to take a separate one.

Stay dry. Nice pics.

Staying in Tonga Thursday 9/8, no call from Poly cl. Moving to CR Atrium 9/9 and got a call tonight from CR cl . It is kind of close so I am glad I emailed my room request because 3 days prior is not really enough time.
