Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

I haven't stayed at a ckub level since the pandemic and have a couple questions for an upcoming trip. Hoping someone here can help us.

We are staying in a tower suite with club access at GDT. The deluxe resort club levels I stayed at in the past always had the separate checkin on the top floor. is there a separate checkin for club level at GDT? If so, what floor or where is it? Also, are all the club level rooms on the same floor as the club lounge? What floor is the lounge? Thanks. We are excited to stay at GDT!!

Are you planning to complete an Online Check-in via the MDE app or on the Disney web site?

If you do an online check-in your MBs should allow you to go directly to the 15th Floor Chronos Club and speak to a CL CM. If you are checking in in the lobby look for a CM with an iPad for assistance.

If you arrive outside of the Chronos Club CL hours (before 6:30 AM or after 10 PM) you should check with the front desk to avoid a trip back.

There are something like 50 rooms and suites with CL access across the entire building. If you post the exact name of your room category we can confirm / verify if it will be on the 15th floor.

Brittany is also there, she was often filling in for Lene when she is out. I think that's about it for the pre2019 group that I can remember
On our last trip Joe came to the lounge and worked every day or two for a bit. Said he liked to get up and away from the desk

Hey thanks for the replies everyone :) Nice to know some friends are still there. What about Jackie? I remember Jackie from pre-pandemic too.

No Jackie is not in the CL. Most faces are new. Very nice but most are new. Those listed are the only faces your recognize.

Jackie has retired. She left in September of 2020. Her husband also retired and they are both happily enjoying it! I speak to her once in a while.

Repeating some others who have recently posted, but we enjoyed our CR Atrium Club room recently. I don't totally love the Incredibles stuff (seemed unnecessary to me if I'm being honest) but I overlook it because I like the CMs, CRs location, views, and theme aside I find the rooms very comfy/cozy, with arguably the nicest bathrooms on property now (in my humble opinion). In some ways CR has always been a mash-up of different themes/designs, so it just adds to it I guess.

Didn't make any room requests. Lucked into an odd # room, so you can see MK when laying down in the far bed. I liked my October room better before that mask/pig nose TV wall had arrived, but whatever. I got over it. Although maybe I didn't since I've taken two Incredibles jabs in this post already. :littleangel: (I'm mostly just kidding)

Make sure to google the thermostat overrides if you find the room not cooling down, or just ask a CL CM for maintenance if inclined. TPV rooms do get afternoon sun for quite awhile so inevitably do heat up when you're away and the energy savings feature kicks in, but it typically cools off quickly.

Love the countertops and shelves to put your stuff these days.

One observation from both regular rooms I've had.... the beds are both connected together as one unit with the headboard and middle drawer thing. When someone moves around in one bed, you feel it in the other. Light movements get absorbed, but a heavy tosser/turner may annoy someone in the other bed. Kind of an odd thing, not sure I've experienced that at any other hotel.

Tower Club preset number in an Atrium Club room. Attention to detail at its finest. 8-)

Love, love, love the renovated bathrooms. My last Atrium Club room had a tub, this room had a full shower - which I think I preferred. It is HUGE. Seems a bit crazy to pick a resort just for the bathroom - but that may be pretty close with us.

And actual useful fixtures....SIX towel hooks. Amazing. Kids get a kick out of the pocket doors.

They had Tron lit up one night - pretty darn cool watching its ever changing pattern/colors.

Sunsets almost never dissapoint.

This is the Electrical Water Pageant making its stop in front of MK. If your room is far enough on the MK side you get an OK view - but the audio is not facing this direction and it's a decent distance. If the wind is blowing in CR's direction you can hear it a little better than if the wind is blowing the other direction, which is hard to hear at all. But overall not an ideal viewing option - your better bet is to head downstairs and watch from the Bay Lake shore/boat dock area.

Happy to answer any questions!

Great pictures. Tron looks cool lit up. Good view of EWP.
Good point about the headboards. We noticed that too and have never had that anywhere else. Pig noses? Ha ha! They are kind of strange looking, but overall I like that that they break up the whiteness of that wall and of the room overall. Agree the bathrooms are great. We had a tub shower and it was a huge, deep tub—had to take a BIG step over to step in.

Do you have any more pics of CL offerings?

What’s the coffee situation at the CR CL? Do they only have the nespresso machine or do they have urns with regular coffee set up? Thanks. ☕

Yep over the years I have learned at CR to override the thermostat and don’t forget to shut the curtains when you leave in the morning. The 1st day sometimes I forget and wow it can get warm!

I really am enjoying your reviews👍

Dd is bringing one of her bridesmaids for her 1st trip in Sept for our CR Atrium days, I think this will be perfect with that view and modern rooms🙂

Thanks for taking the time to lay it all out.

This is probably the bleakest, most boring room design I have seen yet. But the bathroom is amazingly perfect. :)

Shall we compare the different shower/tub combos at CR?

This one is the Garden Wing version. The bath overall was a little smaller than the tower rooms.

These are the tub version from Atrium. I did like the shower in @GADisneyDad14 pix above but this tub was huge and very nice! I’d be good with either.

I like the tile floor in the shower in my tower room vs what looks more like that cheaper molded thing that Disney has been using in some rooms (maybe? can’t really tell) in the Garden Wing room. ??

Thank you for your pictures. I'm not crazy about the Incredibles theme, but my 6 year old granddaughter loves them, so she will be excited.

How has the food been? I'm a little concerned about breakfast for my granddaughter, she is a little picky. One day she is going to Chef Mickey. All of our dinners are at restaurants so no concern there.

So after our stay last week at CR Atrium club level - standard view, I have a couple of observations, my wife and I were just talking about it: We really like all of the conveniences of CR - walking distance to MK, amenities all enclosed in one building (which is helpful when it is 100 degrees out), the Atrium Lounge and Cast members were great. But, to me the room seemed very sterile, bright whites, the lighting way too bright. This was part of a split stay, we were at Kidani Village (non club level) earlier in the week where I just felt more relaxed. There, I liked the colors, tones, and the lighting was more subdued. I also liked that we felt more away from people, contrast to the CR where you can immediately hear and see people when room door is opened.

The bathrooms in the CR are a huge improvement, but I have to say that the functionality of the bathrooms at Riviera is a bit better. We stayed there last year with my adult son, so that's three adults. There was a tub/shower and sink in one area, commode and shower in the other area, all blocked off by pocket doors so each area could be isolated and accessed from the hall. Funny thing about the double pocket door at CR - my wife and I both jammed an elbow in there while trying to close it.

I think I must be more sensitive to light as I get older as I really notice the light levels in the various rooms we have stayed in. The renovated rooms at CR were very bright - I could not find a light to just have on for basic illumination, even the indirect lights above the beds and behind the TV were way to harsh.
