Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Stupid question, non hotel related, lol. My friend is traveling to Disney tomorrow with her family. We are linked on mde as friends. For me to try and get her a virtual queue, would I only be able to make it for her? How would I be able to make it for her family? Do they all need to be linked (including kids without an mde account) or do I need her mde sign on? I was also hoping to practice LL on her family before my trip 🤣
Easiest plan, sign in to her account and do it.
That way, you know it will work.
Otherwise, friends of friends can be more complicated.
Unless she is the only member on her list with an account and everyone on her list is "owned" by her, for lack of better words.
In that case, they may all show up on your list already. But really, with MDE, and all it's quirks, just act as her. That's what I would do

Agree with MRS. When my friend went down I used their log in and booked their hotel, dining, and ordered their mbs. Big family trip and they were clueless. It was so easy. Make sure you have them put in their credit card info or you’ll be stuck.

Once it’s saved it easy,

I have booked for dd and dh trips. Rare they without me but I book dining etc while they run around the parks.

I have 2 questions: does someone at Club level contact you before your stay? They used to do this years before. Asking Because I am not sure this is still practiced. So much has changed since 2020.

The other question is: I would like to have a cake delivered to our room upon our arrival for my mom. Who do I contact for that delivery?

Thank you for your help.

It varies. I was contacted for my last BWI CL stay but not for the one I have in 11 days. I was contacted for three of my four BC CL trips but not my YC CL trip. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . (All of these were since CL reopened.)

SkyGuy, we are staying at Yacht Club.

Was hoping they still sent out emails and requests for your stay. Wanted to plan a few nice things for my mom. My Dad passed away last January and wanted to make it special for my mom. She misses him very much. Have to find a workaround. Thank you for your reply.

Thanks for rhe advice. I'll just her her info and try to book for them while she travels. I love getting into the virtual queues, it's so exciting lol.

I'm so sorry for your loss. That's very thoughtful of you to do that for your mom. You can reach out to DSS on your own. The phone number/email is floating around this thread somewhere. I'm sure someone will post it for you. I'm also on a Facebook group called Ears for Eachother and it's made up of laid off cast members. There are a lot of people offering bakery, food, gift baskets etc on it. They deliver to the resorts. There may be something there that you would like to do for your mom.

I got a call today! I’m checking in on Sunday, staying at BC.

Thank you jods, for your kind words. I will have to check out the Facebook group Ears for Eachother tonight.

Yes, hopefully, someone who knows the phone # or email would kindly post it. It would be so helpful.

Thank you also for your quick reply.

You can always email them. They’ve always responded when I’ve reached out to ask a question. Disney.signature.services@disneyworld.com. I hope you have a wonderful time!

There are generally two possible contact/outreach moments when it comes to CL these days.

The first is from Disney Signature Services, or DSS. DSS is a centralized planning/concierge service that took the place of the old Itinerary Planning Office (IPO) setup several years ago. Unlike the IPOs, DSS is not physically at a resort and they aren’t all that connected to actual resort/CL operations (one of the downsides of the centralized setup). The IPOs used to e-mail a trip form, which may be what you are thinking of - but they don’t do that any more. Like with anywhere some DSS CMs are more helpful/knowledgable than others when it comes to any specific resort or CL questions. Otherwise they are billed as a personalized planning-oriented type service.

The DSS outreach typically occurs in the days following booking. BUT, reports are inconsistent - some never get this call for reasons only the mouse knows. However you don’t need to wait for them, you can call (407-939-7777) or e-mail them (disney.signature.services@disneyworld.com). They are open 9am-5pm 7 days a week. DSS isn’t a gold-plated concierge so they can’t move mountains, but never hurts to ask if you have a planning need or question.

The second contact/outreach comes from a CM at the actual resort/CL in the few days leading up to your check-in. This is generally a courtesy call to confirm your arrival details, ask about any allergies, and general pleasantries. Not all CLs make this call though. I’ve received it from YC and CR in recent months, but not Poly and GF, just for context. I’ve seen lots of reports about BWI doing them. I know WL did them with frequency pre-Covid. YMMV. The phone numbers they may give you for this direct outreach generally aren’t posted publicly. But these CMs are your most direct link to the resort/CL as they are physically there - it’s worth going over any reasons for your trip, confirming room requests, etc.

Sorry if you already know all of that, but hope it helps. The term CL contact/outreach gets thrown around a lot on the thread but the details of where it’s coming from and when you may hear from them matter.

Thank you so much GADisneyDad14 for all the information you posted. Everyone is so knowledgeable and helpful. I am grateful for the help. I will try to reach out to them and hopefully, if they are able to, make arrangements. Again, thank you for posting, as all this is so helpful.

just a little help from you guys; the last 4 or 5 trips to wdw before COVID including our last trip this past march, i wound up spending 1 to 3 days in bed due to neuro flareups including severe radiculopathy; i'm sure that if we hadn't canceled 5 trips during COVID the same would have happened on those trips; i think my pride is shot and it is time to go mobile; the days of pushing my daughter in her stroller at rope drop and getting to Splash among the first dozen or so is history(she is 30 now anyway lol) i know that there are dozens and dozens of scooter rental companies around wdw; we will mostly be staying at the BWI CL Deluxe or GF CL Deluxe or maybe even the YC CL(never did that one yet); Gold Mobility Scooters was highly recommended to me and was wondering if any of you have dealt with them; i will need one of their 4 wheel big boys as far as weight goes and they seem to have a pride victory 10 350lber, and a pride maxima that handles 500 lbs.; im just over 300 and dieting, but i might choose the larger one for extra comfort; so anyone have anything on that company? I think i will give it 1 last shot this Nov-Dec on foot but then in Jan-Feb at the BWI might be my initiation into the ECV club; Thanks fellow CLers;
I always used Buena Vista Rentals for my mom when it was a preferred provider. She used a standard ECV, but there was a Maxima model up to 500lbs. I always received great service and they were very pleasant and helpful on the phone. I never made a reservation with Gold Mobility, but I remember the ECVs always looked like they were in great shape when I was in the parks.

Disney changed it's preferred provider list in 2019 and the only company able to drop off and pick up from Bell Services is now Scooterbug. Scooterbug also handles all the in park ECV rentals. It gets mixed reviews, but I know it has updated it's fleet with more options since it became WDW's exclusive provider. All other companies will require you to meet them at pickup and drop off. Scooterbug will drop the ECV with bell services at your resort before you arrive and you can leave it with bell services when you leave. My mom loved this service because it was one less thing to worry about on our travel days. Not sure if you want this option. If so, Gold Mobility would not work.

As for being unsure about renting one, it's game changing. My mom has bad arthritis in her knees and it would slow her down or cause her pain after light touring. She loves the ECV. She especially enjoys being able to scoot from BC/YC to DHS and Epcot OR scoot from CR to MK while the rest of the group walks. She was unsure about renting one years ago and I booked it for the minimum amount of nights. After a few hours she had me call and extend it for the rest of the trip. The price is so low compared to renting in the actual parks that it may be nice to have as a backup if you get tired or just want to see if it will help you. You can ride it through the queue of a majority attractions. The disABILITIES! board has a TON of information on the subject and I scoured it before actually booking. Hope it works out for you and you enjoy your trip!

We used Gold Mobility for my mom's scooter. We got her the Victory 10 because of the more comfortable captain's chair and longer battery life. My mom forgot to plug it in one night, and it made it the whole day anyway! I used Gold Mobility because that's what most people recommended over on the disAbilities thread. Also, they said the 3 wheeled ones are easier to navigate through the lines, so that may be something to consider before renting the 4 wheeler. You did have to set up a time to meet someone from Gold Mobility in the hotel lobby to pickup and return your scooter, but you can always contact them if there is an issue with the time. It wasn't a problem for my mom. Good luck with your decision!

I had to rent and use my first ECV this past December. I was 10 days post total knee replacement. After some research I went with Gold Mobility. It was really easy to set up a time to meet them as we arrived at the resort. We drove, as I wasn't cleared to fly that close to surgery. You get text communications from the delivery team and you can coordinate you meet time with them directly. I was fortunate in that for departure we were at the Swan so I was able to leave it with Bell Services.

Disney's only approved vendor gets horrible reviews due to the quality of their equipment. Gold Mobility has the same units for all types you rent and it was in excellent shape. It worked flawlessly the entire trip. It was very easy to disassemble and load in the van/reassemble. They give you options for holders in the back for walkers, canes, etc. Since I was on a cane when walking I got the cane holder. It was a slight pain as it almost made the ECV too long for elevators and such. It wasn't but it was exactly the maximum length so I had to be careful to pull in all the way.

I had never driven one and it was not hard at all. Bus drivers were very helpful also. I usually let them do the parking as they were much faster. I opted to stay in mine on the bus to save the seat on the bus for others plus it was just easier than me hobbling to and from.

Just noticed a TPV Atrium Club room for our night - What is the difference between this lounge and the tower? Does only one have sushi and can I access both?
