I’ll not be the voice of reason here - I say do it if you can. With all due respect to BWI, I’ll take Poly’s new rooms over BWI any day.

Speaking of BWI, how is the condition of the rooms? It seems like a renovation is due at anytime for BWI.

Not that I watch too many Reels/Tik Toks over here, but I just did a "I'm not gonna do it girl, I'm just thinking about it.........I did it!" My husband was a true enabler, he's like "the rooms will only be new for a limited time...." I'll still have to go back and stay CL some time, but at least I'll finally be able to say I've stayed at Poly and check off all the deluxe resorts.

If they're still in the condition they were in when I was there in January/February 2020 then they need some love. They're not horrific, but much like GF they really do need an update. As much as LOVE the resort, it's more the vibe and location and less the rooms at the moment that I love. A reno is sorely needed, and I really hope they get rid of the "grandmas spare bedroom" vibe.

I'm going alone so I don't even have anyone to be like "no, I don't want to stay there!" lol. I'm staying at BWV in January with my dad so no loss on staying at Boardwalk there, stayed at both YC & BCV several times since reopening so I've been in that area a bunch, but I have still not had a chance to stay at Poly, it's the my last Deluxe to stay at. I'm only having an issue with the no discount thing, I love a discount, and having a hard time justifying not having one. Of course it will make it cost that same as the trip I had scheduled at BWI over the 50th (since there was no discount for that as well), but my mind won't let me get past it, I just love a deal lol. The only hope I have for CL on my trip is AKL, and I just don't want to be that far away from stuff on this trip with Boo Bash tickets and F&W. It's hard on a solo trip to make decisions, I can't fall back on someone else to say yes or no for me lol

Do it!!!! I agree about the discounts. I paid more for my room at the CR in March but that's ok becoming it was discounted lol. I like to feel like I got a deal. I say switch since you have another BWI booked.

My kids are young adults and they always prefer the Epcot resorts so they can walk to WS.

It's both lol, my trip straddles the end of August and beginning of September. Hot, muggy, and rainy either way lol...not that that's any different than where I live. My husband is totally being a complete enable now, two Boo Bash events fall on my trip, I already have a ticket to one and now he's like "You'll be so close to magic kingdom, you can just get a ticket for the other Boo Bash too!". I had to gently remind him I'm not going for broke here.

DH was telling me I should do Boo Bash as we've always enjoyed after hours....but I am not sure about doing it by myself ;-)

I’ve done AH stuff by myself before, and MNSSHP by myself as well, I have a really good time! My kids don’t like Halloween at all, like really don’t like it, so I’m going to take full advantage of the trick or treating lol

It's so funny - the August trip will be me 5th post-Covid trip that is at least partially solo and I've loved it. Maybe I DO need to go ahead and do it. Are you going to dress up?

Kind of going to dress up, I have a shirt that has little piglet ears that says “oh d-d-dear” on it, and a pair of shorts with pink strips as an ode to Piglet. Thinking of some other stuff to go with it to be more Piglet, but that’s all I’ve got so far. I normally don’t do anything, I normally wear a T-shirt that says “this is my costume” that’s just black with white lettering, but this year I felt like more….I just haven’t decided how “more” I’m going to go yet.

oh, sorry, I didn't mean to make it seem odd, I appreciated the pictures. It just made me laugh. It actually reminded me of a trip a few years back when my son kept having to pee, so I started taking pictures of all of the bathroom entrances - I had to wait until the right moment to snap them.
