Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

For those that are staying in one of the AKL DVC CL rooms during the CL closure, make sure you pay close attention to your points. The DVC website says that upon checkout you will be credited the delta between the points for the CL room and the equivalent standard view room, however, upon checkout, we were only credited the delta between a CL studio and a savanna view studio. I called MS and they fixed it immediately and banked all the points for me.

I really missed club level but we had a fantastic stay anyway!!!

I'm glad you had a great stay, and thanks for the heads up!

Was the seating area open? TV on?

Good to hear, and thanks for the heads up.
Was the seating area open? TV on?

You could sit at the tables and chairs and the long work type table that is next to the stairs to the 5th floor but that is it. The kids' seating area is totally blocked off by the couch that is turned away from the main seating area, making the couch itself unusable, and the TV is off with a sign not to touch it. We had room 6209 and had ostriches and giraffes outside of the room every day in the early afternoon. They had some food hanging for the giraffes from the tree right outside our room and they really enjoyed that.

That sounds so nice, even without service to have that extra area just outside the room essentially expands your living space.

Not sure if you noted, but around 3am there are two giraffe who always 'sleep' down under those trees.

Has anyone stayed/ snuck a peek at a refurbished WL DELUXE CL room? I know they’re not open now, but I do see several reports and photos of the standard refurbed rooms. Need a backup if we get kicked from our current resort due to refurbs... TIA!!!!! 🙂🙂🙂

They were working on the deluxe rooms when we stopped by the resort on January 7th. They were doing some pretty extensive remodeling. It will be interesting if they change the layout of the rooms.

Staying for the first time in years in a non-CL room. So sad but also ready for a new experience. We're staying at CBR for the first time so we can try out the skyliner. Will miss our usual Beach Club but will still have a great time I'm sure. I hate the idea of having lots of food and things littering up our room but I know we will want to have some drinks and snacks around. We will likely do a grocery order to the resort. I'm secretly hoping that CL gets announced sometime before our March trip but I know the chances are slim.

We could see inside one of them walking up to WL from the boat one night on our Christmas trip. It was dark outside and they left all the lights on so we got a good look. I don't know how they could really change the layout much without ripping out walls, and it didn't look like they were doing that. It did look like there was fresh paint, same as what we saw from the CL refurb, but I will be very interested to see how it turns out. I still think it's funny they haven't said a peep about the rooms at WL, makes me think maybe they're quietly doing the rest of the rooms at the All Stars too and just staying hush hush about it. Now, if they could just do the same at BWI that would be great.

YES! BWI is WAY beyond needing an update to it's rooms:).

This was just posted in the CR refurb thread in the rumors and news forum: "Just piling on -- late -- we had a theme park view in the main tower reserved for Sept. 15-22, and we were offered either a theme park view at the GF or a 1 BR villa at BLT. " That's cutting it close for the 50th.

Same here, we were a smidge earlier in sept but we were only offered GF outer building theme park view same price. I moved but since this is actually our original WL CL booking from 2020 (moved twice already), I still don't know if the trip is going to happen (we got a save the date for a wedding that is throwing a wrench in it too). This weekend I plan on putting pen to paper and coming up with a new plan that without a CL return will probably involve Universal and a different resort. Just need to decide on a resort I want to try without CL and when.

Did you call to get a new room? We have BWI club level, deluxe room booked for the first week of July, and have not gotten a call to switch yet.

We had that exact room category booked for December of last year and never heard from anyone. To be honest, we cancelled it on our own but I was waiting to see if we'd be contacted but we weren't. We've stayed this category before...it's really nice. Hoping it comes back for December 2021 but I don't have my hopes up.

Hi, hope all is well. Just booked flights for a quick trip for me and my 2 boys. Hubby is working. I'm going 3/28-3/31. 5 am flight 😆 my 16 yo will probably still be up! Can someone with an AP do me a favor please. Can you check what's available with an AP for 3/28-3/31. I want a regular room not a villa. Or if you know what the AP discount is for the different hotels that's ok too. I can figure it out. I'm only doing a few nights because I need 4 day quarantine and test for work in NYC. Thanks!!!

Prices for 2 adults, 2 under 18
Deluxe is 40% off. GF $547/ CR 1,163/ YC 1,501/ but the last two only have suites available at discount. So basically GF.

Mod: CSR $208

Thank you!! Very helpful. I guess this is why people don't book last minute trips! (Well, last minute to me).

I know you said no Villas, but FWIW a Poly Studio Villa is available for your dates a $588 plus tax (30% off rack rate). I finally broke my boycott and stayed in a Poly villa over Christmas-New Years and I have to say I kinda liked it.

Or there's always Gran Destino Tower!

Sort of surprised AP rate availability is so poor for your dates.
