Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Can someone remind me, have people with CL reservations at places like Poly in the period after the resort opens (eg, in August) been contacted about changing? Fell behind on the details and trying to remember current status. Thanks!

I was not notified so changed mine on my own after I saw rooms no longer available. I had Oct but also have Jan and Sep 2021. Waiting on the 2021 ones.

I was going to wait it out, but my hubby indicated that he wouldn't be all that comfy with CL if it opened . He commented that he was concerned about the multiple hotels we were booked in also, Boston Marriott night before flight, Dolphin for arrival night, Contemporary Atrium Club TP view 5 nights, and Renaissance ?? in MCO for our early morning depàrture. Soooooooo, I included arrival and departure days and booked us into the campground, rented an RV, reserved a WDW golf cart, got a rental car and changed our flights on both ends to leave a bit later in the day to avoid needing a hotel stay due to the flight! We are fortunate to own our own business and can completely work from home for the 2 weeks post vaca.

Not sure if people saw it but BWI and BC openings are now 'to be determined'. I'm on hold to hear the options.

Waited about 30 minutes. CM offered YC after telling me she would check to see prices. (That was a little disturbing because I just assumed they would change me for the same price.) Anyway took YC for the same price (nonCL room to nonCL room). She said BWI might still reopen by October but I didn't want to take a chance of getting something out of the boardwalk area.

I wouldn't have taken the chance with BWI either. I'm glad you were able to change and stay in the boardwalk area .

After seeing your post, I called, got right through to a CM who had just received the memo and got us booked into a 1-bedroom at BCV! It’s an AP rate so it cost us $40 more per night, but will be worth it!

Although I thought this was one of my price-protected reservations, CM told me it was an AP res. She initially offered me a BCV studio at the same cost as our BC deluxe room, but I told her that wasn’t a fair trade. I have finally, sadly, cancelled my last remaining CL stay room. Well, not really cancelled, but downgraded. I was trying to hold on to my CR CL room for Christmas week, but I just kept having a bad feeling about it. DH and I had BWI scheduled for thanksgiving week (which will probably not be open), and we had BC for the second half of our split stay over Christmas week, so I had to call anyway yesterday to change those. Just moved down to a regular tower bay lake view, not mad about that at all, just a bit sad since every time I try to get DH to CL it falls apart. Maybe one day he'll get to do it. We had a BB discount so the savings were pretty good, and I used the extra money to move our room that was at BC to a 1 bedroom villa at Riviera for the rest of the trip (that was supposed to be a cruise, but oh well, this'll do). As of right now I have 4 trips booked and none of them are the same as they were a week ago, hopefully this is the last time I have to make changes. I don't even think I'll move back to CL if they open it before our trip, I'll just wait. I'm sad, CL is my favorite, but right now I just want to get back home.

Was also told by the phone CM that the Christmas party is not happening this year, so that's sad too. This trip is definitely not what we had invisioned when we booked it this past year

I have the 35% off, so I'm doing great on the discount front. It all depends on what the Disney landscape looks like in a few months. We just returned from a great trip, but we don't need the same type of trip again (rides and eating). I guess I'm just waiting to see what the entire experience shapes to be in a few months. I hope that makes sense.

Completely makes sense, and I don’t see it changing a whole lot until some time in to 2021. I have 4 trips scheduled from end of August to June next summer, and I think for now I’ll just be happy to enjoy the lower crowds while I can get it.

Sad indeed. Once the Halloween party was cancelled, I figured the Christmas party would be next. While there hasn't been an official announcement, I think it's just a matter of time .

I told the CM I wasn't suprised about the Christmas party, it was only a matter of time since I don't think things are gonna change a whole lot between now and then (although obviously I hope/wish they would). I would LOVE to see a discount for the second half of our split stay, honestly, I'm really crossing my fingers her prediction is correct. We do have a pretty sweet discount for the first half, but man I do love to save some money especially at Christmas!
