Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Good luck!! Over on the DVC side things were spotty and disappearing quickly! I literally pieced the Poly part of the trip together- picking up days as people dropped them!! Stressful, but happy we’re booked!!! I hope you get what you want!!!

Thanks! There seems to be quite a bit of availability under the GP discount (no AP discounts yet), but I'm sure things will start to disappear as people rebook from June/July trips. I'm glad you got what you wanted. I hope everything goes as planned and you have a great trip! :wizard:

Thank you!!

I agree. Once Disney makes an announcement, people will drop any extra trips they booked. Good luck, I hope you get what you want!!!

Okay, so I know it might not be much to all of you 'seasoned club level-ers', but I just booked my first ever club level resort stay for December....at Wilderness Lodge in a deluxe room. I'm beyond happy, but mainly because I can be at my favorite resort during the Christmas holiday. :) I'm only worried that once I dip my toe into the world of Club Level, it will be difficult to go back! :)

The lodge is SO beautiful that time of year. Congrats on booking your first CL stay & have a great trip!

It's true; once you stay CL, it's so hard to go back to a "standard" room! :cloud9:

The next size room available in Tower Club is the 1 br suite and those are $7345 for the three nights  It makes Atrium Club seem like a bargain. (*4 people)
I did price that and it was 1900 1st night then 2200 the weekend. UGH

Stuck with my tiny room. The king Tower is smaller but it was cheaper than the 2 q same floor.

My mother stayed in one of the king rooms with a military discount. Great price and she loved it.

I wonder if there will even be any discounts for CR that weekend.

Almost missed it! My TA thought tomorrow the 499 day mark for 9/30/21!
Nope it’s today!

Lucky a friend booked hers , thx @BlueSkies and told me to call.

I got a king room in the Tower Club @ CR for 9/30-10/3/21 for the 50th Anniversary.

Those rooms face MK , woohoo!

Always wanted to try that CL.

So call and book now, rooms going fast!

You made me email my TA to see if anything is available that weekend. I hope there is!

We have our usual split stay (WL + BWI) still booked for late July, but my optimism for anything happening in 2020 is not as great as some of the people I'm reading here.

One of the best things about staying CL is the food buffet. But with this pandemic, serving food buffet-style just doesn't seem like it's going to happen?

Edit: do a google search on the two words: covid buffet The news doesn't look good.

Meh, I'm not gonna say they're wrong because who knows what will happen. But media loves to create sensationalist headlines. Really don't care about opinion pieces from the media. Of course right now they're gonna say they're going to go away. As I said in the buffet thread, for better or worse, we're creatures of habit. Buffets will come back at somepoint. There will be a point in time where we're going to forget all about this and go back to our old ways (not saying that's a good thing, but it's what we do). I mentioned the "high end" buffets (like Vegas Casinos, even Disney like Boma) I think will go back to normal at some point (it could a year, could be 2 years)

If anything many will go away because of cost cutting, not because of sanitary reasons (they'll use that excuse though).

From what I've seen in the videos coming from Citywalk, people for the most part are self policing and social distancing just fine. It just takes Universal, or in this case, Disney to step in when the rare jerk decides the current restrictions of face masks and social distancing are not for them. A few reports of universal or Disney removing these people and the rest should fall in line.

As for what you touch, just stay clean. The wonderful thing about skin is it's waterproof. We don't melt.

Buffets, in my opinion will become server only. The public side will be blocked by plexiglass simply because we don't want people talking over the food. This will require adding a cast members to Club level for the short term. From what I saw they always did an excellent job of busing and cleaning tables as it was.

Pretty sure drinks including the beloved cappuccino machine will remain self serve.

The more I think on it, the more sure I am that we won't see much of a change otherwise up in CL.

Just posted it in buffet thread, but figured it's important here too for those that don't go into the restaurant subforum. But the CDC now says the virus doesn't spread easily from touching contaminated objects or surfaces.

A single viral particle usually will not make anyone sick, it's those airborn droplets that can contain thousands that work against us. Still, if you have the habit of touching railings and then your eyes enough times and you will be infected.

My TA said CR TPV is booked up for 50th anniversary weekend. :( But they do have standard view club available, so she put a courtesy hold for me. That’s the Bay Lake side isn’t it? I don’t know anything about CR lol. But I was really wanting to try it for a solo weekend trip anyway.

Correct, your view will be of Bay lake. However, the two balconies in the lounge have the same view as any of the TPV rooms.

This applies for the Atrium Club level since TPV is a booking category. If you want the Tower CL you don't get a view choice unless you get one of the two King rooms that both are TPV.

So there were no TPV rooms even at Atrium Club? I usually book std view anyway since you can see the park from the lounge. TPV is usually about $50/night more.

The lowest category room still available in Tower Club was the 1 bedroom suite but they don't have a lot of regular rooms on that floor to begin with.
