I'm missing Disney and listening to the Governor (NY) tell us we are quarantined forever so I had to use a disney cup to cheer me up. I knew you guys would understand. I also made my kids popcorn in their Disney buckets

Hey! I’m in the same boat (NJ). Although our gov. has done an ok job, I think it’s crazy to keep us home forever. I was wondering, even if Disney still opened for our June trip, if we’d still be quarantined for 14 days.

I asked on another thread. “If I live in NY but fly down to Fla from my DD’s in VA will I have to fill out the plane form and be quarantined?” . I was told no by Yullin . She’s a mod if you don’t know.

Dd and I have our Tonga Princess suite for June 25-28 and Garden View Tea room lunch at GF that trip.

If parks not open we’d still go. That complimentary Tonga room service would be perfect for breakfast and dinner and then just mobile order our lunch and we’d be all set!

I’m in Broome Co NY and we actually opened phase 1 yesterday. Not sure when I’ll ever get back to work but it’s a start!

I was also told we wouldn't have to quarantine if we flew out of an airport outside of NY. We are just as close to Cleveland OH and Pittsburgh PA as we are to Buffalo NY, so it's not a big deal where we fly out of. Still hoping for our July 4 trip. Have a split between Poly CL and BC CL.

I hope it works out for you. But all of this is one of the reasons I’m glad we postponed until the end of next May, besides gf being at risk. Too much uncertainty down here in the city, plus gf is a Torontonian and who knows what’s happening with the border. We have concert tickets at Carnegie Hall in October that I’m not even sure about. I actually go back to the office on Monday to train a new hire class (essential civil service but have been working from home off and on for 2 months), trying not to think about that stress.

Focusing on the positive. Having the extra time to save for an even better, dream 40th birthday trip will make it worth it. I’m trying to think of a nice splurge activity to celebrate but I’m at a loss lol.

If the order is still active you are supposed to quarantine for 14 days if you’ve visited any of those places in the last 14 days. Even if they don’t stop you to tell you, the order is out there and it says they can fine/imprison you if they find out you did not quarantine. Last we heard they are proactively distributing information/collecting information from people getting off flights only from those places (and people driving into state I think).

The hope is the order is dropped when Phase 2 starts.

Yes. We were supposed to be at Poly CL 5/2 - 5/11 this year and rescheduled. Changed our trip to 14 days and turned it into a CL split stay between RPC/Poly. That alone would be splurge enough but I’ve been trying to think of what I want to do on the big day (we will be at Poly by then). We will both be turning 40 next year, me on the actual trip and my gf in July.

The quarantine is one of the reasons we canceled. My 16yo is upset over that lol. We actually fly out of Newark. At least beaches are starting to reopen. I've been seeing tons if teens/kids hanging out since the weather turned nice.

That sounds like an awesome trip! I would still go too. We don't go a lot so we want to do things, everything Star Wars related for my boys. Congrats on making phase 1. I'm downsate and our local hospitals never have vacancy so not sure how we will ever meet all the boxes. Enjoy your trip!

It's pricey and I'm not sure what your budget is, but dinner at Victoria & Albert's is an amazing experince.

All my cl’s 2019/2020 were the bigger sized toiletries. However , who knows now.

They put in all those dispensers in std rooms and who will want to touch them?

Mine too! I haven't experienced the dispensers, but was planning on bringing my own toiletries from now on just in case. Let's hope the dispensers go away and the individual toiletries return .

When we stayed club level at the Contemporary in December 2019, we got individual toiletries, as we did when staying club level at Beach Club in August 2018.

If you are ok flying Spirit, LBE (Latrobe, PA, about 45 minutes east of Pittsburgh) is a very easy airport with free parking. Spirit is the only commercial airline out of LBE. MCO is one of several nonstop/direct destinations. I think they start flights back up next week.

I forgot to add. I am not sure about their schedule this summer, but usually MCO is early morning departure and evening arrival which works great for a Disney destination. There is a hotel very close if one needs.

When we stayed club level at the Contemporary in December 2019, we got individual toiletries, as we did when staying club level at Beach Club in August 2018.

Last summer we had individual toiletries in both our regular room at the CR and at our YC CL room. I think they both had the same things except the CL room might have had 1 or 2 extra products.

Club level room had foot scrub. Which my tired feet loved and solar/sun care aloe gel which I don’t remember getting in the regular rooms in the past.
