Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Just curious about the ‘cast member does the pouring’ scenario for adult beverages in the RPC.

Are the pours generous? Can I get more than one at a time? How do I go about getting them during the day? I think I read about something about a mimosa somewhere on this thread - how do I go about getting those to enjoy?
During the day and evening you have to ask for wine, and in my experience the pour varies by CM. Tonight a CM gave my DH 2 huge glasses of wine, and said something about the end of a long day and she gave him a lot lol. I haven’t ever had the experience of tiny pours, and didn’t notice marks but didn’t look, they very well could be there. I have asked for mimosas a decent amount, and some CMs are very happy to get them and others less so, but they always do and always are relatively pleasant, just some more than others if you know what I mean. During evening apps they have the wine cart set up and are right there, I haven’t actually gotten any then, but they will always give you more and I’ve never gotten the impression they are trying to be stingy or anything- more the opposite. Really them pouring isn’t a big deal, I just prefer the anonymity of doing it myself.

when you want something that isn’t out you have to hang around and wait to find a CM to ask, usually it doesn’t take long. I think some people knock on their door, but I have always felt way too weird doing that and just hang around and wait. Only once or twice have I ever given up, and it was just that it wasn’t that important.

Desserts and cordials tonight. Desserts are pretty repetitive, but there are a lot more choices than at most of the other CLs IIRC and I seem to find more that I like, like the jam tarts, cream puffs, and a chai cream.

they did have waffles again this am, I saw them setting up as we were on our way out to get our Lyft to DHS.

The mark in the glasses is hard to make out. If you aren’t looking for it you’ll miss it
I got it in this photo6BA73F3C-7AF4-448C-B71A-082718527D1E.jpeg
It’s a normal glass of wine amount. Every glass I was given during my MLK trip was to that mark. I never was made to feel I couldn’t have as many glasses as I desired

I was there several times last year. Each adult can get 2 at a time. I will get 2 if I’m grabbing for dd or dh to take back to the room otherwise I just get 1 and ask later for more if needed,

I get mimosas all hours. They do have pog in the back if needed. They switched out pog for another beverage but some of us regulars like pog so they make it upon request (last stay was December ).

At 5p -7 they have the wine cart out and they pour. All other hours upon request.

I have also seen the cordials requested midday. Not often but they do have access to it if needed.

Sometimes I ask for sparkling wine then add a berry from the breakfast fruit, be warned the raspberry will make it fizz up lol.

You can ask for it to be in plastic to take to the pool or for a stroll etc.

To take on mono put in the coffee cup from the room with the lid from room. The lid is wrapped in plastic and keeps it spill-less until you ready for it.

I took a mimosa to dd in dec. Dh and Dd had gone to HS early without me. They met me at Epcot and she had her free drink while walking the world.

I am sadly back from my trip with stays at both BWI & AKL CLs, and while BWI lived up to the hype and then some I was sadly disappointed in the AKL CL. While the food they did have was tasty (but very VERY spicy on one evening) the selection was horrible. It may have been that I was truly spoiled at BWI, but based on my other CL experiences this just fell flat. The selection was small and rarely replenished as I'm used to at other CL, and on my first night they cleared food before the service was over. Due to switching resorts my luggage took forever to get there, the CL concierge called down to check and see where it was and the person at bell services told him it would be at my room in 15 minutes so to make sure I was there. So I grabbed a few corn dog nuggets, raw veggies with ranch dip, and some seafood stew to wolf down and head to my room. It was a looooooong walk to my room on the 4th floor so I didn't feel like hiking down with tons of food. An hour later my bags finally showed (ugh) and so I ran up to grab some more to eat since it wasn't 7 yet.....and the only thing out was a little bit of bread and the veggies. Everything else was gone with 15 minutes left of service. Another woman showed up and asked a CM where the food was, she wanted to make a plate for her daughter, and the CM said the service was done and they were cleaning up to prepare for the Super Bowl spread they were preparing. She wasn't happy to hear this news, but I heard this so I stuck around for half an hour, when no other food came out I went back to my room since it was getting really crowded in the lounge and I was exhausted. The next day was better, making sure I arrived at each service well before the end of it, but I still noticed that they started clearing before the end of the posted time which I'm not used to. They also only had water available to pour in to small plastic cups the entire time I was there. While I did see one man leave with his arms loaded down with little water bottles, when I asked the CM told me they didn't have any more. They had signs, and kept telling people who tried to fill up personal bottles, that the cups should be used for water and to refrain from filling personal containers. I ended up going down to the store and buying two liter bottles of water because walking all the way to the lounge for a few little cups was very annoying. I suppose this CL just isn't for me, CMs were wonderful it's just not really my speed, but it was nice to give it a try so I know for the future.

I am really excited though, I managed to book a BB offer for our trip right before our Christmas cruise this coming December, finally trying CR atrium CL!

Just back from BWI CL in a garden suite. A few brief thoughts...

Overall really enjoyed it, but my least favorite WDW CL to date.

Pros: self-serve alcohol and a solid beer selection; thought the afternoon snack offerings were the strongest when compared to other CLs; staff was very friendly

Cons: the location of the club is awkward and the space felt small and not particularly comfortable. Chef prepared apps at night are a nice idea, but the food was not that great and the smell was overpowering given the small space. Also felt that the food options were more repetitive than other CLs.

The garden suite is very unique and a really nice size. Would rather have a smaller room with a view. Rack rate is probably the most inflated on property (and that’s saying something!).
I just did my trip in the garden suite and I agree about the room, it really was not the best when trying to get to the lounge to eat, and I really hated the stairs at the end of a long day walking. Plus, the no view thing was a bummer. It was quiet but I felt isolated, probably wouldn't stay in that room again but it was nice to try it for a short trip, and thankful I got one of the "oops" discounts so I didn't pay so much for it. As far as food goes, I highly enjoyed the chef prepared food, but I was only there for 3 nights so I didn't experience any repetition. Of course I do find how much people enjoy CL food comes down to taste, I enjoyed walking down the hall and smelling the food but I know that's not for everyone especially those sensitive to the smell of seafood.

The wine cart has been replaced by a bar set up with the addition of a beer on tap, along with a display of assorted bottled beers.

All the best! :thumbsup2

So I have a 1 night at the Grand reservation right now I could change from an outer building-theme park view non cl to a main bld standard view club level for a $177.12 difference. Is this change worth? There are 3 of us traveling.

I think I read on here correctly that BWI will or does have a waffle station? IF so, is it every morning, or only certain mornings? I tried to search, and found a few comments, but nothing with detail. :)
We will be staying BWI CL deluxe over Spring break. (Split with BLT) I know my grandboys and DS8 will be big fans of a waffle station. 😁

IMO it is! I love RPC. Depending on your plans, you could get breakfast, snacks, afternoon tea, apps & desserts possibly for both days, since you can access the lounge fro check in til closing the next day. For 3 people, that will save a lot of money right there. And if you enjoy beer, wine or cordials, you’ll save even more. Enjoy!

Oh my gosh, we dreaded those stairs at night too! My legs felt like lead going up. I thought we were the only ones! 😂

I agree with PP. Not sure of the context of the rest of your trip (if any), but a short one or two night stay at a CL is a great way to try something without the commitment of a longer trip.

If you’re all theme park all the time, then no - but if you like your time at the resort (even if just breakfast), I vote CL.
