Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

That’s different than what GDT has but still looks great. Huge improvement
CM said that this one breaks down less lol, but all the CL are getting them (not GDT). He said the one at GDT is great but this one is way more reliable. I’ll take it, it’s easy to use and makes a perfect cup every time.

Lol, I think I’ll still vote for the GDT machine as being the best on property (I thought I had read above that’s what BWI got, but I guess not). Poly has that same one in your pic and it sometimes has a few gremlins (along with sometimes confused guests).
From what had been described I thought this was the same, but it’s obviously not. I mentioned it to a CM here and he said all the CLs are slowly getting them, and they’re more reliable than the GDT one. I don’t really care, as long as I get my coffee I’m good.

Hi, jemtx - so, we have only been here since Fri, and we arrived later than expected due to flight delay - we basically changed and ran out to mk ah. I saw (in a passing blur) what looked like thin, caesar salad-prepared romaine wedges, maybe? And also chicken nuggets and some soup that night. Lots of cheese/cracker stuff. Sat morning it was standard breakfast stuff - croissants, muffins, bagels, cold cuts and cheese, oatmeal, and crustless egg and cheese bites. We missed Sat afternoon because we wanted to get over to disney springs and try to get a walk-in table at Homecomin’ (we did, and omg, yum), and then we left before 6 am on Sunday to get to rope drop/bg release at dhs (we did, and omg, fabulous). You saw last night, and this morning the warm item is strawberry crepes. The only time the lounge has been crowded was last night, and between the menu you saw and then elaborate desserts (cupcakes, brownies, chiefs and 49’ers cake pops, every cookie in the world, and some stuff I’m forgetting), that made sense! The staff was AMAZING last night, refilling dishes constantly (nothing seemed empty before it was whisked away and replaced) and bringing in wine/beer after 7 (upon request, but they were expecting it, it seemed) for people watching the game. I’ve seen more heavy breakfast service at other cl’s, but I did miss Sunday, which seems to be the star breakfast at most cl’s. We’d stay here again.
Thank you 2VetS! We arrive in 40 days to the YC CL and of course I'm reading this thread for details!! Keep us posted of anything else you see and enjoy your trip.

We left yesterday. (-sobsobsob, sitting in my office now -) I did get a bounceback booked for the (hopefully) Halloween Party - so fun to go with my little niece...but it will be at CR. And I can't get CL either, so it looks like I'll be pouring my own wine and bringing my own snacks. I loved the placid atmosphere of the YC. I wasn't a huge fan of my room (5171) - it was nice and had a great view of the fireworks, but it was right next to the staff area (across on the diagonal from the lounge), and you could definitely hear the elevators in motion all the time.

breakfast at RPC this am, they have had waffles 2 of our 3 mornings so far. Always some kind of deviled egg, hard boiled eggs, various meats and cheeses, a hot egg dish like a frittata, various muffins/pastries, cut fruit and berries, cereal, breads, and all 3 days bread pudding with vanilla sauce. The bread pudding was new to me.

They had a chef making chocolate creme brûlée for apps tonight, it was very good.

The kids choices were Mac n cheese the first night, mini corn dogs the second, and chicken nuggets tonight. All very good.

I can’t remember all of the main apps, but last night was a beef skewer with chimichurri sauce that was delicious. We could make a meal out of dinner easily, except for the gluten allergy. For that my DH has had to have a lot of veggies and the salad apps, so he’s satisfied to have choices but still hungry, unlike me and the kids who are full. Often one meat app is gluten free, so it’s not like he doesn’t have anything, he just doesnt really get choices- which he’s used to anyway.

Hi all ! We are staying in a Deluxe Room for only one night before moving to our Copper Creek room. We arrive late-9pm to MCO and I expect to be at Wilderness Lodge around 10:30pm. We will miss the dessert offerings that first night, but do you think they will bring a couple of soda and maybe a chocolate milk or two to our room for us from the lounge? We will probably eat breakfast the next morning in55 the lounge and we may see what they have for desserts that evening since we will technically have club access until midnight. We have stayed club level several times (YC and AKL) but never for one night. We recently became DVC owners and we are staying at Copper Creek for 5 nights. Our travel party consists of 6 total. One 72 yr old, 2 50 year olds, 2 30 yr olds and one 3 yr old. We booked the Deluxe studio because it sleeps six and it is a bonus that it is club level.
This is my mother in law's first trip to WDW. I really want it to be special for her. It is also our grandson's first trip. (we take all our grandchildren to WDW when they turn four and then hopefully once a year after that). And so, we want it to be special for him also.
I am thinking about getting something from gifts and ammenities for my mother in law and grandson delivered to our Copper Creek villa. But, I am wondering if you think the club level will be worth it for the one night? I know that when i stay at AKL that I have withdrawals if i can't access the 6th floor. lol no really, 9 times out of 10 we have to stay CL at AKL if we stay there. I just love it. the cast members are usually so awesome. those who are there regularly remember us. I bring little gifts for them sometimes. I brought pop sockets with Disney designs this last time and they loved them.
anyway, any advice for late arrival to WL? We will probably be starving since we will be missing the dinner meal. Can we have something brought to our room that late? This is our first stay at Wilderness Lodge and Copper Creek. We wanted to stay here so that our luggage would be relatively close. I am happy to stay at Copper Creek but sad that the CL is only one night and we can't buy the extra fast passes.

thanks for your advice.
When we stayed in the deluxe room two years ago DSS had called & asked what we would like (drink wise) stocked in the little refrigerator . If they don’t contact you, you can call them. I’m pretty sure you would at least get drinks & they may even leave cookies or some sort of snack for your group.

I will be checking into AKL KC tomorrow for a (sob) very short stay before a cruise. I think some on this thread had questions, so feel free to lob them at me and I’ll do my best to gather intel for you :)!

Hope you have a great time, even if it is for a short stay :goodvibes.

Have fun! Could you report on what kind of beer they have? Thanks! Can’t wait for our trip at the end of the month

I leave tomorrow for my trip with my granddaughter and daughter in law for Piper’s cheer competition. She is so very excited to be staying at the Boardwalk Inn! I have spoiled this child, according to her parents! Her team is staying at Port Orleans and when Piper asked if there was a lounge there , I told her no. Well, she said,” Nanny, we will stay at the Boardwalk then”! She is seven! I love that my grandchildren love the good life. We will be back as a family in March for their Spring break.

That’s funny my 10 yr old and 6 yr old are like that! I find it funny, but it actually bothers my DH that they come off as seemingly entitled.

It is funny! It all started before she was even born. when my mother passed away I was left a considerable sum of money and since what was important to her was making memories, I spent that money on taking my children and grandchildren to WDW.I got great discounts as a retired cast member and my children were spread across the country and this was a way to get them all together. Now, my children have good jobs and can afford their own rooms, with my discount, and they too love club level.

Just curious about the ‘cast member does the pouring’ scenario for adult beverages in the RPC.

Are the pours generous? Can I get more than one at a time? How do I go about getting them during the day? I think I read about something about a mimosa somewhere on this thread - how do I go about getting those to enjoy?

How many magic bands is too many? I only have 2 from previous trips.
I don't think anyone knows the magic number or if that is even the problem just that Disney will tell you that whenever you have MB problems. You aren't even close to having too many. We have at least 50, most deactivated, but probably at least 10 active ones for two people. For people that go multiple times a year it is easy to accumulate many...I'm sure there are people that have hundreds if they go multiple times a year and have several people on their account. Add in a couple of split stays and you can see how they easily add up.

I just want to chime in- this is the 2nd trip where CMs, both at GF, mentioned the number of magic bands potentially causing a problem. Both women said that it is usually more than 7. In August in RPC they deactivated a bunch of my old ones, this time 2 weeks ago it was more of a heads up since Im creeping closer to that number.

Just back from BWI CL in a garden suite. A few brief thoughts...

Overall really enjoyed it, but my least favorite WDW CL to date.

Pros: self-serve alcohol and a solid beer selection; thought the afternoon snack offerings were the strongest when compared to other CLs; staff was very friendly

Cons: the location of the club is awkward and the space felt small and not particularly comfortable. Chef prepared apps at night are a nice idea, but the food was not that great and the smell was overpowering given the small space. Also felt that the food options were more repetitive than other CLs.

The garden suite is very unique and a really nice size. Would rather have a smaller room with a view. Rack rate is probably the most inflated on property (and that’s saying something!).

Updated CL bracketology...
1. Grand Californian - not close, best space and quality of food; branded napkins!
2a. Animal Kingdom Lodge - most unique food, great space
2b. Wilderness Lodge - again great space and food
3. Polynesian - will be 1 once the rooms get a refurb
4. Beach Club - my favorite hotel, but the CL feels a bit bland
5. BWI
6. Newport Bay Hotel - yikes!

Pours are to a mark on the glass, which is a typical size anywhere you buy a glass
They isn't any limit on how many you can get or how many at once.
If they don't have it out, you ask.
Mimosas included

Agreed about food options being repetitive. I was there a few weeks ago and had pork belly at least 4 days if not 5 out of 7, and the same pasta which alternated between chicken or shrimp at least 6 days out of 7. The other 2 nights were scallops and then small pieces of steak on top of a piece of lettuce (both tasty). The kids offering was mac & cheese 7 days in a row, and frankly speaking Kraft Macaroni Dinner tasted just as good. Redgie and who ever subs for him are really nice people, but the choices and quality have in my opinion have really gone down since they moved away from Flying Fish, ESPN, and Trattoria menus.
