We are staying club level at YC in two weeks. Do you usually do the online check-in? We stayed AKL a couple of years ago and I love the ability to check in in the lounge. Do you lose that experience when you do online check in. Will I miss anything if we do or do not do online check in? Thanks!
Is that Magic kingdom view from your room or the club lounge?
You are 100% right that the MK view is not from the WL club lounge. It is closer to the elevators in the north wing. I love watching the fireworks from the WL hallway window since the view from the club lounge is not very good, although the lounge does have the music.I’m not the person who posted, but I’m 99% sure it’s from the room. IIRC, you can’t see the castle from the club. We had a view from our room very similar to the one this person posted when we stayed back in 2017. We watched Wishes from the balcony each night.
We had a lot of problems with our MB's not working at the BC. I thought that it might have been because we have stayed at the BC many times and had a lot of MBs. The CM at the BC said that all of your MBs will load into the door lock system. So I called Disney IT and had them delete all of the bands that we never use anymore and that solved the problem. Our MBs never work on the elevators at YC upon arrival anyway, so we usually find a manager or greeter type (or go to the regular check in desk) and tell them we’re checking in CL, then they’ll escort you up to the CL CM desks.

Not until April.Selfishly I have to ask when you are going.... I had a great standard room beyond the CL desk overlooking the Boardwalk. However we are going back in September and would love the same room... close to the lounge and also to the elevators.
Room 4253.... it was PERFECT (and we want the same room in September) Terrace overlooking Boardwalk and water.... equidistant from elevators and lounge..Not until April.![]()
I deactivate most of them through the website. Does calling IT do something more than that?We had a lot of problems with our MB's not working at the BC. IT will actually remove MBs and cards from your account completely by damaging them out on the backend. I cleared all of my 1.0 MBs out and will need to start getting rid of some 2.0s since I am almost at 30 again. I hate that you can't decline MBs with the new customization website.I deactivate most of them through the website. Does calling IT do something more than that?
Good to know! I got rid of all of our 1.0 bands ages ago but they are still on the list, just deactivated, and like you we have multiples of every color of the 2.0s, as well as some custom bands.IT will actually remove MBs and cards from your account completely by damaging them out on the backend. Thanks! I was trying to figure out a way to order some of the upgraded bands while also declining for a few people on the reservation. Hopefully Disney adds that functionality back in addition to the whole group through online check-in. I bet IT has the ability to decline a few on a reservation if you call, but I never tried it out. lolGood to know! You can decline them when you do online check in. You just have to be sure to do it before they would ship, otherwise you'll end up with more gray ones.
I know BWI closes up at night.Quick question for everyone:
Do any of the CLs “lock up” at 10 pm or can you walk in after hours to get a soda or water etc? Do any of them leave light snacks out after “close”? I watched a review that stated WL locked up with a big chain and gate...but the review was from 2015.
Wilderness Lounge still locks up at 10 pm. They have a prettier gate now.Quick question for everyone:

Gf sl and rpc are open all night with drinks in cooler left until gone. Cr and poly too.Quick question for everyone:

I just stayed at AKL and was able to grab some waters out of the cooler after the lounge closed. This was last weekend.Gf sl and rpc are open all night with drinks in cooler left until gone. Cr and poly too.
The ones that have a door will be locked.
Wl food area was locked but I still sat and watched the lobby after 10.
I couldn’t remember akl lol. Thanks.I just stayed at AKL and was able to grab some waters out of the cooler after the lounge closed. This was last weekend.

Same thing with BC! The main area was closed/roped off, but the little side room with a bathroom and refrigerator was open. There was also candy outYC has a lock but they left it open. Small area is roped until tomorrow breakfast, fridge is still available.
All the CLs we've been that were open at night did not have tea of coffee, and of course only soft drinks in the fridge.
I managed to snag the AP discount for my September CL split stay! Doing 4 nights at Coronado - Gran Destino Tower in a Standard Room with Club Access and then 5 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge in a Savanna View Club Level Access room. We've done AKL CL once before. It will be interesting to compare the experiences. I'll report back with reviews of both afterwards.
I snagged the passholder discount for our Beach Club trip Oct 2nd to 7th. I couldn't believe it when I saw a discount not only for the BC CL but for an October trip! Disney math comes through and we are very excited to be staying CL again.![]()
I've officially switched from Poly CL to WL CL for my fam's fall trip! Fam is pretty excited too to try something new!
If you had to choose:
YC CL standard
WL standard with CL add on at check in if available (cheaper by a few hundred dollars)
Currently have YC garden non-CL booked. 3 night trip with only MNSSHP party planned, no other parks. We have never tried CL before. Me, DH, DS4. I wouldnt be devastated if CL at WL wasn't avail at check in as an add on. We arent planning a lot of ADRs and would feel fine looking for last minute places to eat/QS. We typically stay Poly on the DVC side as a reference.
We arrived at the WL a few hours ago! Beautiful view from our room. We just enjoyed some afternoon snacks in place of lunch. My daughter is sad because she wanted to swim this afternoon, and right now the pool is closed due to thunderstorms. At least it’s stopped raining. Hopefully it might re-open shortly.
So excited that we are checking into The Grand at Sugar Loaf for two nights before moving to a garden view room for 5 more. We have never stayed at SL. We have done BC CL and the POLY CL. We have 10 more sleeps!
