Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Just back last night from my first Poly CL stay and it was absolutely amazing!! I LOVED everything about it and can't wait to go back! Requested 3rd floor & close to lounge.....got 3rd floor but our room was the very last one at the end of the hall...lol. The walk to/from the lounge was a little long being we were at the opposite end of the building, but it didn't bother me one bit because we had a direct view of the castle from our balcony .

The lounge was very nice with a good amount of seating, especially with extra seating on the 3rd floor. We never did make it to the 5-7 pm offerings, but everything else was very good. The food didn't really change much for breakfast/afternoon snacks/desserts over the 6 days we were there, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything. I definitely got my fill of the homemade chips and sugar cookies .

The view from the lounge can't be beat! Have seen lots of pictures that others have posted over the years, but seeing it in person is just magical! I've always loved the Poly, but being there last week/weekend just reminded me of how amazing it really is!

Sorry you got the exact opposite room location from your request. I've been in the third floor TPV room second or third from the end... I figure the one on the end is next for me as Disney keeps pushing me further and further down the hall it seems!

**Apologies in advance for my spotty memory and lack of photos**

Hello all- Stayed 2 fantastic nights at Wilderness Lodge Club Level. Didn’t stay long because we didn’t know how we would feel about it. It was a great experience overall and can definitely foresee staying again.

We received an email from Club Level Staff about a week before our check-in asking if we needed anything or have a room request. When we arrived to the hotel in the morning, we went to the front desk and a Club Level CM came and escorted us up.

Lounge never felt noisy or crowded and plates seemed to be cleared from tables immediately. CMs were friendly but not overbearing.



Now for the good stuff…

Drinks- Water bottles, milk, and sodas were always available in the mini refrigerators. Coffee and teas were also out and consistent each day. Nobody in our party drank much of the alcohol options- but there was beer and wine available at night (provided by a CM). They did make a point when we arrived that alcohol is always available on request.

Breakfast- Orange juice, pastries (our favorites were the croissants and apple danish), 2 types of oatmeals, cheese, meats, yogurt, fruit, muffins, bagels, and toast.

Afternoon- Drinks on the outer bar area rotated somewhat each day, usually a lemonade or punch, tea, and fruit infused water. Food was build your own trail mix (dried fruit, pretzels, nuts, chocolate chips, goldfish, gummy bears- twist tie baggies were available), fruit, veggies and dip, mini sandwiches, mini cupcakes (the blood orange ones were SO good), and cookies. They also put out leftover pastries from breakfast.

Dinner- Rotated each night with the exception of meats/cheeses/rolls. First night was really great food- roasted chicken and vegetables, curried chicken salad, shrimp pasta, and a vegetable soup. Second night was Shepard’s pie, soup of the day (southwestern chicken maybe?), and a salmon dish (we were rushing to a park that night so didn’t get to sit and enjoy it a lot).

Dessert- Both nights had a fruit cobbler, chocolate candies, cookies, mason jar cakes, mini cupcakes, etc.



Miscellaneous Thoughts

-Best food for us in terms of convenience was surprisingly the afternoon snacks.

-We did the 6 FP program. It is great for brief trips where you want to fit in all the tiered headliner rides at all 4 parks. For people who go on longer trips, not sure it would be worth it, especially since they took away the night show seating. Having to change purchased FP in person or on the phone was kind of a pain.

-Happily Ever After post fireworks dessert party was great for the most part. I enjoyed being able to get a spot early then be able to slow down and enjoy the desserts afterwards. However, by about 8:15 the garden was probably 75% full. This sold out party we attended seemed more crowded than a sold out dessert party we did earlier in the year before they added the post fireworks party.

-Somewhat regret not doing Early Morning Magic in Toy Story Land. Even though we did all rides twice with the extra FP program, the land was wall to wall people and it nearly impossible to look around and appreciate the details.

-Random and off topic- but I wish they would bring back that add-on park hopper bus transportation. That would have been amazing to use that with the 6 FPs at multiple parks each day.

-We lucked out and got a phenomenal room view and got to see the fireworks at night.



I didn’t see any signs of construction when we were there. I will happily answer any questions.

Just FYI, for those that don't follow this stuff... AP rates came out through 4/27 today.

GF - 35%
Poly/CR/WL - 20%

BC/YC/BWI - 35%

AKL - 35%

Those are all 10% better than the Gift of Magic general public offer.

Obviously subject to availability and it looks like some weekend nights didn't have a discount (based on my limited checking).

For those curious, those are the same discounts as roughly the same promotion window this year.

Just booked BWI CL for 4 nights May 11-15!! I am crossing my fingers for some type of discount to come out in the future to help lessen the cost, so I will be watching this thread/boards closely! We stayed CL for the first time this past spring at the BC and we were hooked! With a family of 5 (2 grown sons), we figure we will definitely get our $$ worth from the food/drink offerings! Thanks for putting together such an amazing thread to keep everyone updated!!

Yikes...this has never ever happened before, I was searching rooms on WDW site and without me doing anything it became the UK site....seriously, I have never even looked at that site before. I mean I was even using my usual bookmark as its a frequent page...... So I tried to check the price for the WL but when I got to it, it said I had to call for availability.

That happened to me recently, but it sent me to the Canadian site and I had a heck of a time getting it to let me off of it! I ended up having to use an incognito window, I could not change the regular one back no matter what I did. I hadn't even realized there were different sites I could actually get to until it happened.

Thanks for the detailed report. I am looking to book our first CL stay at AKL next summer. I thought the food in the CL lounge was just snacks. Is it common to have meals in the lounge around diner time, or was this unique to WL?

I have always found the food offerings at CL WL during dinner pretty decent in selections and quality. What is especially nice is that they have veggie and fruit offerings so you can make up for the lack of that perhaps at your other meals. I remember Buffalo chili from AP that was very tasty. We usually plan to do one dinner at CL to get away and have a break from the parks....take advantage of the desserts and snacks later as the parks close early in the winter....and breakfast there everyday gets us out and on our way as well. I like oatmeal!

Thanks too for sharing KJGA....I sure will be thinking up some questions, but interesting that there was no sign of refurb yet.

That's the figure I always give someone when they are bouncing the idea of an AP. It's not a hard rule but in general, you can use 10% over the GP discount for your figuring.

Some of the nonCL room rates at the Deluxe are even greater percentages. Found a night at BWI Standard for less than $300

Thanks, Disneydad! It was an amazing time! I was there with my sister and 6 yo niece and she just loved it....especially going back and forth to the lounge .

As you are so well versed with the rooms, I have a question for you (if you don't mind). I booked LV CL and got room 3518 last room at the very end of hall, which had a dead on view of the castle. Is that classified as LV? Or did I get a TPV? It would have been nice to be a little closer to the lounge with as much as we went back and forth, but if I had to choose between that and the view we got, I'd take the view every time .

LOL on getting pushed further and further down the hall . It'll be interesting to see where you end up next...lol. Speaking of, do you have a next already booked??

I am really missing the Poly, so I'm already thinking of when I can go back...lol. I really want to try AKL CL and YC CL, but it's so hard not to book Poly CL again! May just have to go back a few more times before my AP expires in June .

My niece didn't want to go home...she wanted to stay another 5 days . I told her we'll plan to come back again, so that made her happy. Now to figure out dates and hope for a discount .

The CL food offerings aren't meant to be a meal replacement, but depending on how you eat, it could serve as a meal. Just depends on what's offered at the time and how hungry you are .

I am not an expert, but I am pretty certain each club has a breakfast (about 7-10 am), afternoon snack (about 11-4 pm), evening appetizers (about 5-7 pm), and dessert (about 8-10 pm) rotation.

Uggg, Disney discount decisions are hard sometimes.

We’re going for Easter. I was able to get a garden view club room at YC for the first 4 nights with the Disney Visa discount. Last 3 nights club level wasn’t available but I was able to book a regular garden view room with the discount. Now with the AP rates, I can get a water view CL all week, but the 2 weekend nights aren’t discounted. So the total is about 2K more than what I currently have booked, but we get club level for the whole trip (which we prefer) & we don’t have to change rooms.

I booked that water view room quick last night before it vanished, but I haven’t cancelled the other 2 rooms yet. I just checked again, now I could book just the last 3 nights for the waterview club room with the AP discount. So I could keep the first 4 nights garden view club, then move to the water view club for the last 3, instead of a regular garden view room. That would still increase our cost over what we have now. It is $775 less than the waterview club for the whole week, but we would still have to change rooms in the middle of the week.

Truely, I want to keep the waterview club room all week. But I pride myself on never paying rack rate for a Disney resort. So the thought of no discount for those 2 week end nights is making me crazy! Is moving rooms midweek worth almost $800 to me?? UUUGGGG!!! I know, I am so lucky this is my biggest problem in life.

Hey @focusondisney it might be worth a call to see if they can get you to a single room for the duration at a discount. The web site is not very flexible at all and almost never it seems.

Checking in 11/20- GF, Sugarloaf. I did on-line check in already. If we happen to get lucky and get a "room ready" text, can we bypass the FD and go straight to room, or because it is CL, do we need to be escorted up?
